I want to love this product, but it breaks me out. I'm sure this is what's causing my breakouts, as I recently had some minor surgery and during my makeup free week of recovery, my face completely cleared up. As soon as I started using this again, I broke out again. So even though there are a lot of good things about this foundation, I can't get past the spots it causes. It's a catch-22 - the more of this I use, the more I need to use to cover the breakouts it causes! I'm trying Mineral Hygienics next. If you don't have breakout issues, you might like this product. The coverage is fantastic, it doesn't feel oily even in hot weather, no cakey look, and it lasts all day long. It goes on very smoothly and a little goes a long way, so even though the price is a little high the bottle should last awhile.

Masks -Queen Helene - Mint Julep Masque

The best thing I can say about this product is that it is cheap. The packaging is truly awful, especially when it's less than half-full. Squeezing out product is a huge chore and I think a lot is wasted. As far as the product's effectiveness, it did tighten my pores somewhat, but did little to decrease my oiliness or reduce blemishes. It wasn't very good as a spot treatment for me, either. I tried putting it on some spots overnight but DDF's sulfur mask was better at reducing redness and size. It's not a terrible product, but I think spending more on a better mask is worth it.

Masks -DDF - Sulfur Therapeutic Mask [DISCONTINUED]

I really like this product. It's a bit pricey, but I think the extra cost is worth it as it is far superior to the Queene Helene Mint Julep mask I used before. Queene Helene did very little to reduce my oiliness and nothing to treat my blemishes, even as a spot overnight treatment, but this product definitely reduces the oil and minimized some really large, stubborn pimples immediately. I haven't found it to be the least bit drying and I use retinol products (1% retinol). I have very oily skin though. I use it 2-3x a week with the pumice peel from Bioelements. I don't use my retinol product the same day I do my masks/scrubs..maybe that helps with the dryness. Compared to BP this is fantastic. Yes, BP works and definetely dried my face out....amazingly for me, too much! I have never been so flakey. This is a nice, happy medium.

Cleansers -Cetaphil - Gentle Skin Cleanser

I gave this product a fair try, using it for nearly 1 month, and I absolutely hate it. I broke out so horribly, I was almost embarrassed to go out. And I used to get compliments on my skin! Granted, I'd been noticing changes in my skin already (I guess my hormones are changing again as I'm getting a little older), but this made them 10x worse. Within a week of switching cleansers my face was nearly clear again and the huge, cyst-like acne that had appeared on my entire jawline was gone. I'd never had acne like THAT before. And the only change I made to my skin care regimen was this cleanser - switching to it I broke out, switching to something else, I cleared up. So I definitely blame this "cleanser" that doesn't really cleanse. My face didn't really feel clean the entire time I used it. I thought it was just gentler than what I was used to. Ha! It really just didn't clean at all.

Scrubs -Bioelements - Pumice Peel

I love this product. It is very gentle and doesn't feel like I'm rubbing sandpaper onto my skin like so many manual exfoliators do, yet it does a great job making the texture of my skin smooth and soft. It's important not to scrub super hard, actually - a light massage does the job just fine. The only downside to this product is the cost. However, I've used it 2 or 3 times a week for the past month, and I've barely made a dent in the tub, so I'm expecting it to last awhile at least. I think this is an HG product and it has definitely become a part of my regular skincare routine.

Treatments -Peter Thomas Roth - AHA/BHA Acne Clearing Gel

I just bought this yesterday, and I cannot believe that I have seen results in a single day. I put it on last night before I went to bed, and this morning I woke up to skin with a soft, smooth, texture. All the little rough bumps I'd been unable to get rid of were gone. I bet that is from the glycolic acid in this product. My acne hasn't cleared up yet, but I think a total face clearing in a single night is a bit much to ask for. A little goes a long way with this product. A single pump is all I need to cover my entire face. I like the packaging, especially the pump. I'll update my review after I've used it for a few weeks, but I had to write now because I have never had a product show a result so quickly, like this one did. UPDATE: i've been using it for a week and my face is almost entirely cleared up. I broke out a little the first couple of days (I think my skin was purging) but it cleared up very fast, much faster than usual. Works better than BP and much less irritating, too.
