Lipstick -Revlon - Colorburst Lip Butter - Candy Apple
rated 4 of 5

One of my favorite, favorite Lip Butters. I think I like the shade of Red Velvet more, but this is a close second. Candy Apple is perfect because it gives you classic and fun looks for both day and night. The formula is moisturizing without leaving my lips feeling too moist or greasy. Because it is more like a heavily tinted lip balm than an actual lipstick, the staying power is not ideal if you want to have it lasting a long time with minimal touch-ups. If you like keeping your lips soft with some color, though, then the Lip Butters are definitely a good pick.

Mascara -Fresh - Supernova
rated 4 of 5

I received a $10 mini of Supernova and Firebird at Sephora -- I loved both of them, more so Supernova, but man, I would not spend more than $10 on either. Regular tubes are about $25 and with all the less expensive mascaras out there, in addition to how long they usually last (only a few months) I cannot at all justify spending that much on it. Plus, as awesome as the forumla itself is, the tubes started falling apart by the end - not so great packaging quality.

BB Cream -Maybelline - Dream Fresh 8-in-1 BB Cream
rated 4 of 5

I never wear foundation, so I thought BB Cream would be a good way to get more coverage without feeling like I have a ton of product on my face. I really like it! I have mine in light - blends perfectly with my complexion, you can't tell I'm wearing face makeup at all. I feel covered, but not oily or cakey. You really don't get a ton for your money though -- since I don't use it terribly often I think it'll last me a while, but if I ever want to transition to using it every day I think I would buy a different one just for size purposes. I can't imagine this tube lasting you very long if you use this daily.

Concealers -Neutrogena - Healthy Skin Concealer
rated 1 of 5

I don't think I would ever reccomend this product to anyone. It's inexpensive, but it dries the areas of skin to which it is applied. The coverage is okay for a little while (on me, it probably lasts about an hour or so before it starts to look a little funky) but as the day goes on, it starts to make my skin look dry and kind of cakey. It starts to become really obvious that I'm wearing makeup, and I like keeping it as minimalistic as possible when it comes to my face. I don't have a problem with drug store concealers, but this one really did not work out for me at all.

Treatments -E.L.F. - Shine Eraser Blotting Sheets
rated 3 of 5

I'm not giving these sheets a high rating becuase I don't think they work terribly well if your skin gets pretty oily throughout the day, like mine. This is why I don't like using oil-blotting sheets that often -- too annoying to use, smears my makeup, whatever. For oil control I typically use The Porefessional from Benefit, but on days where I wear zero makeup and need something to help me control shine, I use a couple of these sheets. They still work, but aren't my favorite product for making my face matte.

Lip Gloss -TheBalm - BalmShelter SPF 17 Tinted Gloss
rated 4 of 5

What a great gloss! I love how it gives my lips some shine and color while also making them feel moist and smooth. I bought mine in Pin Up Girl, and it's a great red tint for day wear. The color is not overpowering, even though it looks really vibrant in the tube. I suggest buying one of the more pigmented shades if you're looking for some color on your lips -- lighter colors probably don't show up as well.

Moisturizers -Cosmedicine - Medi-Matte Oil Control Lotion
rated 2 of 5
smntha 12/16/2011 2:08:00 PM

I bought this product at a discounted price on Hautelook.com; was glad I saved a little money but would not opt to get this again. After maybe four hours of wear, I'm looking shiny again. I wear this with some concealer and a finishing powder -- still saw some oil coming through that I thought would have been controlled a little more, so unfortunately, I'm not buying this a second time.

Primer/ Corrector -BeneFit Cosmetics - The Porefessional
rated 4 of 5
smntha 12/16/2011 2:04:00 PM

I bought this to replace my Cosmedicine oil-control moisturizer, since I didn't feel it was working on me -- and I'm so glad I tried this out! My t-zone tends to get oily-looking throughout the day, and this is a great weapon against shine without an overdying product sitting on my skin. My only complaint is that there is not a lot of product in here for $30 (I bought mine at Sephora) but you only need to use small amounts of this to really work, so it will probably last a while. I wear this after applying a tinted moisturizer and love the way it looks and feels. It's also great for oil control on days I skip out on my face makeup, but still want to control the shine. Would definitely buy again!

Tinted Moisturizer -Boots - No.7 Illuminating Tinted Moisturizer in Fair
rated 4 of 5
smntha 11/22/2011 2:47:00 PM

Definitely a great tinted moisturizer! It leaves me feeling like my skin tone is even without caking on a lot of product. I dislike foundations and use this as my face makeup (along with a little concealer and finishing powder) for every day wear. My skin tends to get oily throughout the day however; so I mix a bit of this together with an oil-control moisturizer to get a matte look all day. No breakouts, either! I have been buying this again and again.

Lip Treatments -eos - Smooth Sphere Organic Lip Balm in Honeysuckle Honeydew
rated 3 of 5
smntha 11/22/2011 2:42:00 PM

A little pricy for drug-store balms, and no, I don't think it does its job. I constantly have to reapply to keep up the moisture. The packaging is adorable and the colors are really cute, but as you keep wearing the balm, the used shape of it makes it awkward and obnoxious to apply. It's smells great and looks really cute, but for practicality I would not purchase EOS lip balm again.
