I'd say this is the best scrub I have used, and I'v used 2 tubs of it. I have sensitive skin, also acne-prone, so any harsh scrub will immediately give me little pimples or redness. And the "gentle" scrubs usually do nothing for me. This scrub is just right, a good balance of scrubbing power and moisture. It doesn't dry out my skin, just make it really smooth, and a bit brighter than before as well. It's also really cheap, considering the tub lasts you a really long time since you only use about a teaspoonful of the product each time. Will buy again!
I don't know how I lived before I discovered this top coat. Helps polish dry really quickly, and leaves a nice shine. The only downside is that it's quite thick, so you need to perfect the application skill or else it just kind of gloops on.
I have been drinking a bottle of this every day for a month. I don't know if it's this product or the fact that I've just switched to a job with more stable work hours (or both), but my skin condition seems to be better. Pores seem smaller, and I have less breakouts. It's very expensive though, and you need to drink it every day and not just once in a while, so it kind of adds up. But I suppose if it works, I will keep drinking it. Also, the boxes are really heavy, as each contain 10 glass bottles!
Masks -Bliss Labs - Triple Oxygen Instant Energizing Mask

The product name seems interesting and innovative, so I bought it to try. It feels a bit funny on my skin, especially when you put on too much and it feels like it is running down my face. It makes my skin feel a little bit smoother, and is a nice pick-me-up. Other than that, it has no other function at all! So that's why I won't be buying it again.
This is my most reliable brow product. Makes my brows full, groomed but not fake at all. I love the powder side, and only use the wax side to prime my brows when I go to a formal function or I want my makeup to last all day. It has good lasting power as well. It's a bit expensive but since I've used mine for a long time and barely made a dent in the powder, I would say it's actually of better value than brow pencils! But the design of the product makes it hard to apply on the go, so minus one of the overall rating. And of course the tweezers do nothing at all!
Lipstick -BeneFit Cosmetics - Silky-Finish Lipstick

I have 3 of these lipsticks and it's really saying something, as I normally don't buy 2 lipsticks from the same brand, because I like to try new brands and new products. The colours are very wearable in this collection, and the texture is amazing! It's rich enough but not too thick, and it's quite moisturising too. The darker shades can be blotted into a stain. I love them!
I have tried a lot of whitening products, from essences to masks, and this is actually the only product which works for me. It's expensive, at about HK$45 per piece, but since it works, I'm ok with it. It doesn't irritate my skin, it helps fade my pimple marks, and with persistent use my skin is more even-toned (and I get tan very easily and rarely get more pale!). I'll keep on buying it; I hope they don't discontinue the product! I also hope Fancl can make larger packs, rather than 3 pieces in a box, as it's really quite environmentally unfriendly!
This is a pleasant surprise! I have never been able to use a cream foundation as they usually break me out, but after reading the reviews here I decided to give it a try. The product is quite thick so you only need a thin layer to get coverage, but it goes on really smooth and blendable! It gives my skin a nice glow and makes it look more even and a bit whiter (in a good way), and doesn't break me out at all! It's smooth like a liquid foundation and easy to use like a compact. Nice product!
I love this perfume! I'm so glad they came out with the 50mL bottle, as I know it will last me quite a long time already. The bottle itself is very simple, not too attractive, but the smell is alluring. I don't know what it is supposed to smell like, but it is flowery (but not overpowering) and a little bit sweet. It is a very girly perfume, without being too young. I can see myself wearing it often.
Concealers -Boots - No7 - Instant Radiance Concealer

I have never tried Touche Eclat so I can't compare this to that. But this concealer is very convenient and it works! I have tried both MAC and L'Oreal's versions of these brush-on concealers for my undereye area, and I wasn't impressed. I don't have much dark circles but they get darker after a couple night's insufficient sleep. This concealer brightens up the area a bit, but are not drying and very easy to blend. It looks very natural and lasts all day! My only complaint is, the brush attached to the pen is horrible- if precision is what you're looking for you'll need your fingers to help out, as the brush is pretty useless.
This is a fresh cucumber scent, but it fades really quickly. I usually use it either as a room spray, or (I know this is weird) to spray on my shoes to get rid of the smell after I get home. I like how it's fresh without being overpowering. Sometimes I carry it round in my bag in summer to use as deodorant as well, but I seldom use it as a fragrance alone. It's a weird to smell like a cucumber all day, so perhaps it's good the scent fades quickly.
It's a good lipstick but not great. I have tanned Asian skin, and this looks brownish on me. I would've like a tiny bit more red/ mauve. It is the sort of versatile colour that can be played up or toned down though, so I still give it a 3. It's just that the colour is not too unique, and I have other similar colours. This colour looks a bit like Prade Tinted Lipbalm No.5 on me. I have dry lip but it doesn't dry me out (I put balm underneath though), and it's moderately longlasting without getting all crusty. I won't be buying this again simply because I never repurchase any lipstick; and neither will I ever use them up!
Cleansers -Neutrogena - PureGlow Daily Cleansing Cushions - Normal to Dry Skin
smilette 10/19/2006 5:06:00 PM
I would've given the product a 4 if it wasn't so expensive. The thing is, the cleansing pads are quite big, so I always feel it's quite a waste throwing them away, and I believe there's still quite a bit of cleanser left on the pad after 1 use. And it only has 22 pads- won't even last me a month if I use 1 every night! I like the scrubbing bit, but the moisturising bit doesn't foam nor does anything else. I bascially just use that side to cleanse my face of the foam from the scrubby side. They're really good for travelling though, since they are disposable and easy to carry. I will buy it again, but won't use it every day since I can mind other products which last much longer, at the same price.
Lotions/ Creams -Palmers - Palmers Cocoa Butter Formula
smilette 6/11/2006 12:54:00 PM
I love this lotion because it smells like chocolate- so rich and nice, and also it's really cheap! It moisturises well and is simple and didn't irritate me. However, have to take 1 lippie off for the horrible packaging. The squeeze bottle means there's a lot of product left which I can't use up. I'd be much happier if they have a pump bottle- not only can I control the amount I squeeze out, I can actually use up the whole bottle instead of half the bottle!
Nice-smelling lip balm with SPF 15. It's a simple twist-up balm that actually does moisturise my lips (I can't use beeswax-based stuff). It has no shine and doesn't really have any taste, and is good as a lipstick base. It's also cheap and doesn't melt easily! I will buy this product again, probably when I run out, but I'm more likely to lose it before using it up (I have already lost one!).
