Absolutely fabulous shadows.. the colours are so versatile and easy to wear, the pigment pay off is incredible and they feel like silk on your eyelid. This palette is an absolute must have for anyone, even if you're a minimal makeup wearer. Worth every penny. LOVELOVELOVE

Top/Base Coats -Borghese - Clear Fast Drying Top Coat
rated 5 of 5
sm91 10/22/2011 4:39:00 PM

I adore this top coat. It is the perfect finish to any manicure, leaving your nails glossy and shiny and making them look professionally done. I also love the double brush that Borghese does, because it allows for optimal speed of application. This top coat also dries insanely fast and makes my polish last over a week! The only downside is that where I live it costs $13.99 (kind of expensive when you think that OPI costs $9.99).. so thats really the only con. But whatever, I'll still buy it! LOVELOVELOVE

Polishes -China Glaze - For Audrey
rated 5 of 5
sm91 10/22/2011 4:33:00 PM

This is an AMAZING colour. The perfect Tiffany box blue (hence the name 'For Audrey' in reference to Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's. I love this shade so much, and I get compliements all the time when I wear it. Perfect for summer and definetly on trend! Also- a cheaper dupe to Essie's 'Turquoise and Caicos' (and imo, way cuter!).

Polishes -Essie - Coat Azure
rated 4 of 5
sm91 10/22/2011 4:30:00 PM

I got this product in my October Luxe Box and I really really like it! I have so many nailpolishes (probably around 50, mostly OPI, Essie and a couple of Dior) so I probably only end up using most polishes a couple times a year. I really like this colour though! I feel like I'll probably be wearing it A LOT. I looks awesome on my skin (fair/pinkish) and I love how it has a small amount of shimmer to it. Very pretty.

Polishes -Essie - Sew Psyched

I love Essie, but I didn't love this particular shade. Its an army/khaki green, and although it was very trendy when I purchased it (it was part of the fall 2010 collection), I agree with most of the reviews below when I say that it did not suit my pale, pinkish skin. It looked awesome on my friend with tanned skin though! So she got a little gift ;) haha

Polishes -OPI - Mrs O'Learys BBQ
rated 5 of 5

I am obsessed with this shade! Its so vampy and sexy and perfect if you want that trendy, wine coloured nail. Its dark, and makes a statement, and is an alternative to black because it still makes you feel sexy and kickass. Lovely for fall/winter and looks good on every skin tone! My friends and sister and mother are constantly stealing this one because it looks hot on everybody! This is a must have for any nailpolish freak like me. Haha.

Polishes -OPI - Dating a Royal
rated 5 of 5

I love Dating a Royal! Its such a nice polish and great if you're looking for a blue thats not navy, but not too light either. Its also great if you feel like wearing a colour that doesn't have shimmer in it, because its so rich and pigmented and opaque.

I personally didn't like this shade on my skin (I'm really fair) but it looked AMAZING on my good friend who is Persian and has gorgeous tan skin, so I gave it to her.

I've loved this colour for so many years! Its a gorgeous, creamy, purpley/pinky shade that is very opaque (you only need 1 coat) and looks good on so many skin tones! A must have if you're looking for that pretty pink that never goes out of style.

Primer/ Corrector -Lancome - Effet Miracle Primer
rated 3 of 5
sm91 10/22/2011 4:08:00 PM

I like to use this product on others when doing makeup, but I don't personally like it for myself. I find that it works great on more mature skins, because it doesn't make the skin look dry and creates a flawless looking base (smooths over lines/enlarged pores, etc.). This product is almost the same as Clarins Instant Smooth. They both have the same "balm" ish feel. The trick with both of these is not to rub back and forth or else they will ball up. All you need is a tiny amount and smooth it over problem areas in light strokes going in one direction. The nice thing about Lancome Effect Miracle Primer is that is comes in 2 shades (a pink for fairer complexions and an apricot for olive to dark complexions). Now for the downsides. It is a little bit pricey and I would not recommed it to a skin type that is oiler. I didn't like it for my skin because I didn't hold up like some other primers I've used that are more suited for my combo/oily skin. For my type of skin, I still find I'm better suited for CoverFX Mattifying Primer or Smashbox Photofinish Light. That being said, women seem to love it, so it might be worth a try if it seems right for you!

Scrubs -Marcelle - Hydra-C ComplexE Facial Exfoliating Gel
rated 2 of 5
sm91 10/22/2011 3:58:00 PM

I typically like Marcelle when I'm looking for something a little bit less expensive, but still want to go with a derm quality brand/product. However, I did not like this exfoliator at all. I found it didn't really do anything. Like it was reaaaaally gentle. I know some people like that, but personally, when I exfoliate I like to feel that grime coming off and notice a difference in my skin texture afterwards. This just didn't cut it. If you're looking for an exfoliator for sensitive skin but want something a teensy bit more "scrubby" then go with the La Roche Posay scrub. Its amazing and effective and just a couple $ more.

Loose Powders -Marcelle - Face Powder in Translucent
rated 5 of 5
sm91 10/22/2011 3:54:00 PM

THIS PRODUCT IS A GODSEND. If you are looking for a fairly inexpensive translucent setting powder, then this is for you. It doesn't add any build up like a lot of other powders, so you can still use a full coverage foudation and not look too overdone/cakey. I've tried more expensive loose powders like CoverFX, Dior, Smashbox and Lancome, and this beats them all out! My only compaint is that I wish the packaging was a teensy bit smaller. Marcelle is an awesome line for anyone with sensitivity issues because everything is hypo-allergenic.

Misc Beauty Tools -Tweezerman - tweezers
rated 5 of 5

This is a must have. These tweezers are beyond any tweezer I have ever used. The price seemed a little expensive ($30) at first, sitting next to $5 tweezers.. but they are SO GOOD. Plus- Tweezerman has a lifetime guarantee and sharpens for free!

Fragrances -Thierry Mugler - Womanity
rated 4 of 5
sm91 10/11/2011 12:28:00 AM

This perfume smells like pure sex. Its musky and salty and HOT. You can definitley smell the fig in it and it remains true to the Theirry Mugler brand by having that edible, sexy, gourmand appeal. I wear it when I want to feel seductive, yet sophisticated. That being said, I've heard it does not mix well with alot of people's chemistry and dries down overpoweringly salty on them. This is definitley one you need to try and wear before purchasing. However, I love it, because its so modern and unique.
