I tried this after reading about it in beauty awards in some magazine a couple of years ago...just sprayed it on in Debenhams and nearly retched. I don't know what it is, I couldn't even stomach the smell for half an hour. I went straight home and scrubbed until it all came off. It probably dries down nicer, but I couldn't stand waiting to see if that happened. Now I do probably have quite girly taste in perfume, so if you like sweet and pretty (Miss Dior Cherie, Christina Aguilera's original perfume) I would try before you buy because you might not get along with this either, or you might have to wait two hours for any nice scent to develop. So glad I didn't just buy it.

Polishes -Maybelline - Forever Strong

I bought this in the shade Winner Takes It All, which is gold, the exact same colour as a coin really....I put it on the day I bought it even though I knew it would chip off that night in work as I have never found a polish that lasts through work. To my surprise, there were only a couple of chips afterwards so I have given this polish a high rating because I have never found another that was able to last so well without chipping. The colour is nice too.

Self Tanners -Unlisted Brand - St. Moriz Self Tanner Foam

I bought this product cuz I heard it was good and also it's dirt cheap here in the UK, especially if you get it in like SemiChem or Savers. I'm glad I read the reviews here telling me that it has an indicator colour that you can then wash off the morning after applying to leave your fake tan colour, because the indicator can look really orange! So it's just an indicator don't panic! Besides that, as a product I love this stuff. You just pull on your gloves, slap it on, rub it in till the indicator looks nice, wash the indicator off the next morning and tada!! Really natural colour that is never streaky and I personally get streaks from all fake tanners. I use it cuz it is so easy and for fake tan quite quick. I honestly think you need it every day to get a proper tan, otherwise it's just a bit of colour....and I'm really fair but still bought the medium to dark cuz my real tan is quite dark and still need to use it every day. But be in a bathroom that you can wipe down, it goes EVERYWHERE and stains. But overall, I think it's really good for being so cheap :D

Palettes -Urban Decay - Book of Shadows Vol. III
rated 5 of 5
slightlyobsessive 6/18/2012 12:09:00 PM

I received this as a gift, I have to admit I probably wouldn't have bought such a bright lot of eyeshadows from looking at them!! But now I have played around a bit and worked out what shadows can be worn when I love this palette. I love Smog and Suspect for every day - just slap them on - or Bordello for a bit of colour. Radium, Psychedelic Sister, Last Call and Kush are also really good for if you want more colour, like going out, and I love Rockstar for a purply smoky eye. I'll admit I mostly use Perversion as a liner as black smoky eyes don't really work on me, but I love using shadow as a liner so it's not an issue! The only colour I can't use is Loaded, it doesn't seem to work on me, I'm quite fair with very light, like creepy luminous green eyes (cat eyes lol) and it just doesn't seem to go with my colouring. I don't like Zero as a liner either, I find it sort of very smudgy? Even with the UDPP, which I LOVE. The purple liner is quite nice though, and as I already said, I love UDPP. So overall, I think this palette is worth your money, although I don't know about availability because I know BOS IV has come out, I only said I wouldn't buy it again because I don't think I will ever finish it. But for me UD shadows are totally worth the money :)

Treatments (Eye) -BeneFit Cosmetics - It's Potent!
rated 2 of 5

Crap. I bought this just for dark circles because I don't really have any puffiness or anything and this eye cream said brightening so I thought it would probably be best. It has no effect! I mean, it might be moisturizing (haven't really checked) but it does not work on dark circles at all. I'm so annoyed I spent this much money on it cuz I don't really have a lot of money lol

Polishes -OPI - Black Shatter

I don't know with this product? Sometimes the cracks give a really awesome shatter effect, especially over bright colours like blue or hot pink. But some of the time a couple of my nails didn't really crack properly and it was just like thin streaks down my nails of the colour underneath instead of proper cracking? However, when it does crack properly I love the effect, I wore it to work once and got tons of compliments from random people so I would buy it again. I do honestly think it's better than the cheap ones.

Lip Treatments -Soap and Glory - Sexy Mother Pucker™ XL Extreme-Plump Collagen Lip Shine
rated 4 of 5
slightlyobsessive 5/11/2012 10:43:00 AM

I was given this as a gift and I can tell you it totally works as a lip plumper. It also has quite a nice smell and is a lovely gloss. However, I have very full and defined lips to begin with and if I use it on my top lip I generally resemble a duck, which is why I said I wouldn't buy it.....but it's great news for people who don't have as full lips because it totally does work and is a great gloss. The tingle is pretty intense though but probably worth it for the genuine plumping.

Lips -Vaseline - Vaseline
rated 5 of 5
slightlyobsessive 5/10/2012 8:02:00 AM

I can't live without Vaseline! i don't like the really big pot you get in like the babies section because it smells weird but I absolutely cannot live without the little Lip Treatment pots. I constantly have three on the go. Cocoa Butter, Rosy Lips, Aloe Vera, normal - whatever. The only one I wouldn't recommend is the one with sunscreen because it tastes very chemically, I use Carmex in the summer instead for SPF. I have never found another lipbalm that keeps my lips as soft. I have to use cherry Chapstick in work because I find it very unhygienic to be working a till and constantly dipping my fingers into a pot of balm and it does not work as well, so I marked the Vaseline pot a 3 for packaging because i think the tube version is better sometimes. Also, a bit of strange advice - I used to wear the Rosy Lips lip butter treatment to bed and wake up with pink all over my white sheets, so I would say use one of the clear ones if you're going to wear it when sleeping.

Powder -L'Oreal - True Match Minerals
rated 5 of 5

I can't live without this foundation! Yes, the brush is scratchy and sheds a bit, and if you're wearing a nice outfit you definitely need something over it to stop it getting all powdery, but I have never found anything like the coverage. I have horrendous acne scars and basically I just keep buffing powder in until they're covered, and even then it still looks natural. It keeps my face matt (well, not my nose but that would need a miracle) and there is absolutely nothing that covers spots and scars like it. I just repeat buy it every time it runs out.

Mascara -BeneFit Cosmetics - BADgal Lash
rated 3 of 5
slightlyobsessive 5/8/2012 1:53:00 PM

I'm not really surprised at so many bad reviews. I love this mascara when it is just on, it's very natural and really catches every lash. I find if you wipe the wand off a bit on a tissue also you don't get clumps, but sadly it only stays nice for about an hour! It does smudge around your eyes very easily. Generally I just check round my eyes often and wipe away any smudges because I love it as a mascara but if you couldn't be bothered with that you're probably better looking for one that doesn't smudge as easily.
