Ok so I gave this another try, and the trick is to apply sparingly :) My brow hairs are pretty long, and since they're so sparse, trimming them would make them even more invisible than usual, so I straighten them out with this brow wax, and it looks very neat~
This is the first BB cream I've ever used, and I guess it's just alright. It's REALLY thick, so you'd think there will be a lot of coverage, but no :| I don't know why, but it has a greyish tone to it no matter how long I wait. Meh. Not that worth it for the price.
Eye Shadow -Milani - Runway Eyes Fashion Shadows - Backstage Basics

I bought it because the packaging is so cute and unique. The strips are a little hard to get at because they're so close together, and the little applicator that came with it is great, but these colours just aren't doing it for me. They look like a nice set of gradients in the palette, but once I use them, the darker half ALL LOOK THE SAME. Exactly the same. It's like having 3 of the same eyeshadow in the same palette. I love the lighter 3 shades though. Seriously, this palette isn't that worth it. There's little variation, not very pigmented, and it's kind of expensive for a drugstore palette ($10.99). Also, it doesn't look that good on my warm-toned skin.
I have NEVER used a lipgloss as epic as this one. 1) There is zero stickiness! It just glides on~ 2) Very nicely pigmented. Gorgeous colour~ I don't have to wear lipstick under this :D 3) Quite hydrating. It doesn't settle into my lip lines, but rather, smoothes them out? what is this magical magicness? 4) Lasts quite long~ Even after eating, though the glossiness is gone, the colour is still there :D 5) Friggin cheap! I got it for $6.99 (normal price, try and catch it on a sale day!), that's around the norm for drugstore glosses, and it's better than a looooot of high end glosses I've tried. I'm not one to use lipglosses regularly, but I lurrrrrrve this <3
This is my new favourite mascara. The packaging is really nice (same with the brush), so even though I have a bunch of mascara waiting to be used, I bought this anyways lolol I usually don't like non-waterproof mascaras because they don't hold curls well and smudge off my oily eyelids, but this one really surprised me. It holds a curl quite well, stays on all day, AND comes off super easily. The only thing I don't really like about it is that is doesn't actually volumize. It just makes it looks like I have more individual lashes, but you can't see that from far away. This is very natural looking and feeling, and I use this for school everyday.
Skincare - Body -The Body Shop - Exfoliating Gloves

These have definitely replaced my mesh sponge in the shower. The main worry for me is hygiene, and a mesh sponge is hard to complete squeeze out/wash, so I always feel like I'm partially washing myself with old soggy dead skin. These gloves however, are very exfoliating, easy to control, and clean. The texture isn't too rough, it fits your hand so you can get hard to reach areas, and it's very easy to clean, so no worries about hygiene. I got this in a set with some lotions and shower gels, which was on sale for only $5, yay boxing day :D
My first impression of this primer was it's disgusting texture. Kind of reminds me of spoiled milk or boogers. Getting past that though, after blending it on the back of my hand (for a long time. it takes so long to get rid of the oily feel) it feels really smooth and nice. I would recommend this for normal or oily skinned people. I personally have combination skin, and it caught on all of my patches of dry skin, and made my foundation look terribly clumpy and disgusting. I ended up returning this.
I was really excited to get a gold brown colour, and this looked REALLY good in the packaging, and even on the back of my hand, but it doesn't look nearly as good on my eyes. This gave off a orange/copper tone, rather than gold. Orange does not look good on me. Sigh. I even tried it on my eyes at the store. I guess fluorescent lighting makes a huge difference -_- The quality is still great though.
Misc Beauty Tools -Revlon - Pedi-Expert Pedicure Kit

I thought I would never have soft heels! This thing proved me wrong. Seriously, all those shower buffers, creams, whatever don't compare to how great this is. I've had DEEP dry cracks on my heels for many years now (genetics probably, mom has them too), and I could never find a way to get rid of them. The pedi-expert made my heels soooooo smooth after one use! Honestly, I wasn't expecting much out of this, but it took me by surprise. (The first time I saw it, I was like "uh, a cheese grater for my feet? no thanks." lol it really does come out looking like parmesan cheese after scraping your feet! So gross but so awesome!) The normal price of $15 is a little high for me, but if you buy it on sale (mine was $8), then it's really worth it :)
Cleansers -L'Oreal - Go 360 Clean Deep Cream Cleanser
slicedara 1/10/2011 9:14:00 PM
The only thing I like about this product is the little scrubbie. The actual cleanser is absolute GARBAGE. I don't have sensitive skin, or anything close to sensitive, yet this stuff STINGS AND BURNS. After using it, my skin is completely sucked dry of natural oils, leaving my face flaky and peeling >:C AND THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE THE MOISTURIZING CLEANSER. WAT. This was definitely not worth the $13. No idea what I'm gonna do with the rest of the bottle :\
I don't really get acne that often, but when I do, I use an aspirin mask and it works decently well. It definitely fades the intensity of redness, but I don't think it actually shrinks the pimples. Even when I don't have acne, I use it just because it makes my face really soft afterwards ^^
This is my favourite bronzer, it gives such a nice warm golden colour. It's also very cheap, but there's a lot of product in the container. :D The packaging is very sturdy and not cheap at all.
These have got to be THE cutest brushes I have ever seen. They're not just looks either, they work really well too! The hairs are so soft <3 They're a little expensive, but they're worth it :)
Top/Base Coats -Cover Girl - Boundless Color - Disco Dazzle
slicedara 12/24/2010 11:51:00 PM
This is a great top coat, and the glitter specks looks amazing. Unliked the Sephora glitter topcoats, the glitter in this doesn't peel off; instead, they stay put until a layer of the clear topcoat. The only thing I don't like is that it doesn't deposit a lot of sparkle, and takes a few coats to get adequate glitter.
This is one of my favourite eyeliners. It's really easy to apply (silky, as the name says), and stays on all day. The only thing I don't like is that it irritates my eyes. Even when I don't put it on my waterline, it still makes my eyes really sensitive. Not enough to cause redness, but even a small breeze makes me squint.
