Mascara -Rimmel - Scandal Eyes Lycra Flex Mascara
rated 3 of 5

I am happy that I bought this mascara. Not usually a Rimmel mascara fan but I gave this one a try because it was on offer for a fiver in boots and Im not disappointed. In my experience it somewhat lives up to its claims, I just felt my lashes and they are indeed very "flexible", it has lasted all day without flaking and it held a decent curl. However the effect is not exactly dramatic and I probably won't be using it for going out, then again I would just put some fake lashes on for a dramatic look. Overall a good mascara for day to day wear, I will probably buy again unless it dries up quickly.

Skincare - Face -Unlisted Brand - Tisserand - Peach Kernel Oil
rated 5 of 5

I cannot believe noone has added a review of this amazing oil yet, so I decided to share my experience with everyone here and hopefully help more people discover it! First of all, my skin is dry and sensitive and it is hard for me to find skincare products that are suitable for my face. Every cleaner I tried, no matter what price or brand always left my skin feelng uncomfortable, dry and also would break me out in random places. So I decided to give the oil cleansing method a chance! First I tried olive oil mixed with castor oil which was a complete disaster... I tried the olive oil on its own but it didn't do any good to my skin either. I tried coconut oil, sunflower oil...etc etc (all organic) but none left me glowing. I then moved on to jojba oil which did the job fairly well but didn't improve my skin condition either. When I ran out of jojoba oil I went to the health food shop to buy some mre when I saw right next to it a bottle of the same size of Peach Kernel Oil. Compared to the jojoba oil it was half its price (jojoba cost me 12 euros while peach kernel oil cost me only 6). I read at the back of the bottle that its deal for skin massage and it provides elasticity to dry skin and also is very beneficial to sensitive skin. I decided to give it a shot to save me some money and I am absolutely amazed with the results I have gotten from using this baby! I have been using it for 10 days so far so I cannot comment on long term effects if there is any but my skin is transformed! Scars are fading quicker than before, skin is supple and glowing and the fine lines are much smoother. And I mean smoother as in they're 90% gone! I am only 24 so I dont have deep wrinkles but my smile lines were quite pronounced and were making me very self conscious, but this oil has managed to fill them in almost completely! Thats something no expensive serum managed to do and its so cheap! My method with this oil is as follows: I rub the oil on my face to remove all makeup (even eye makeup) and then wipe it off with cotton wool. After that I dab some oil in another piece of cotton wool and wipe my face a second time. Finally I grab a muslin cloth and run it under hot water to rinse my face. Face is left clean without feeling tight, all eye makeup traces are removed! Best part is that I dont need to use moisturizer anymore, I just rub a few drops of the peach kernel oil on my face after cleansing and I wake up with soft, glowing skin! Same thing in the morning, I just wash my face with warm water and then rub a bit of oil on my skin, wait for it to sink in and apply makeup as normal. WORKS LIKE A CHARM! So this 6 euro bottle has saved me from spending on a cleanser, toner moisturizer and eye makeup remover. What more can I ask for? Also I have not had any breakouts from using this product, it does not irritate my skin (in fact it feels very soothing) and it doesn't leave me with a sticky feeling after I use it. 5 lippies from me and I seriously recommend it for anyone with the same skin concerns as I have!

Treatments -Yves Saint Laurent - Forever Youth Liberator
rated 2 of 5
sjesic 3/6/2013 8:10:00 PM

I have used this serum for about 10 weeks. First of all I must say that this serum does live up to its claims about 80% when it comes to results but the reason I gave it 2 lippies is because this results are just temporary and I will explain this. I am only 24 and do not have any deep wrinkles, but I do have very dry skin and the weather here in Ireland during the colder months make my skin even worse. I received this serum as a gift along with other YSL products for Xmas and gave it a go religiously every day, day and night for about 10 weeks. Results: Skin seemed a tiny bit tighter, fine lines under my eyes seemed a bit smoother and smile lines were much smoother. Complexion was fairly clear with the odd random spot. Skin looked smooth enough but definately not "glowing". Now the reason why I gave this 2 lippies is because this serum doesn't actually improve your skin condition whatsoever. As soon as I stopped using my skin went from very dry to Sahara desert, my skin looked old and thirsty and I was left with little bumps on my forehead. Complexion looked even more dehydrated and dull since I started using the serum. So you pretty much have to keep using this for the rest of your life to keep your skin looking decent, else the temporary effect you get is reversed and comes back at you even bigger.

BB Cream -Urban Decay - Naked Skin Beauty Balm
rated 1 of 5

What a horrible product... lets just say that it doesnt cover anything, it doesn't help the staying power of my makeup and it made me look OLD. Yes, old as in my skin looked thirsty and wrinkly after use. It also irritated my skin. This is overpriced CRAP

BB Cream -Catrice - BB 6 in 1
rated 5 of 5

I am pleasantly surprised by this BB cream. I had previously had some horrible experiences with BB creams from other brands (Garnier, Urban Decay, Maybelline, so on...) but this one truly does what it claims! First of all the coverage is excellent for a BB cream and I did not have to use excessive amounts of product to achieve this. The finish was very natural, like my skin but perfected and I even skipped the concealer. I also skipped the powder and was delighted to see that the BB cream had a great staying power, I did not need to retouch! The product feels moisturizing but not greasy and it hasn't given me any breakouts which is a win for my very sensitive skin. Also, it is the first BB cream to match my skin tone perfectly without that horrible orange tint. For reference I am NC35, yellow undertones. Finally the price cannot be beaten, I have paid 6 euros for this product and you definately get more than what you pay for. Give this BB a try, you wont regret it!

Liquid -Yves Saint Laurent - Teint Touche Eclat Foundation
rated 4 of 5
sjesic 2/15/2013 7:49:00 PM

I can understand why many women out there do not like this foundation and consider it a waste of money. I think what the adverts and the SA's fail to inform to the customer is that this foundation is very light, very sheer and definately not suitable for a person looking for medium to full coverage or with either combination or oily skin. I personally really like this foundation mainly for two reasons: it does not set into my pores or fine lines therefore does not accentuate them and also because the range of shades available is amazing and this has been one of the very few foundations that matches my skin tone to perfection. I am using the shade BD50 which I think would be suitable for a NC35 with yellow undertones. I love the finish of this foundation, I only need two pumps of this gel like textured foundation to cover my entire face and it gives my skin a natural glow (not the glitter kind). The coverage is light-medium so if you are looking for fuller coverage this isnt the foundation for you! It mainly evens out my skin but I do need to use concealer under my eyes. The staying power of the foundation is not the best, so you will need to set this with powder. When I want an even fuller coverage with this foundation I set it with my bare minerals foundation and the combination of them gives me the most perfect skin. I have not experienced any breakouts while using this foundation which is a winner for me because my skin is also sensitive. I noticed that it doesnt clog my pores or make my skin look dull or drained. So overall very good foundation but not for everyone!

Primer/ Corrector -Yves Saint Laurent - Touche Eclat (Radiant Touch)
rated 5 of 5
sjesic 12/30/2012 8:00:00 PM

I never bought into the hype of this product and all the positive reviews it has received and actually never bought it. I just didn't think it would be that good... BUT IT IS THAT GOOD!!! I received the Touche Eclat as a christmas present along with 2 other YSL products and I can't believe I spent so much time without it. This stuff is F'ing amazing!! I wish i would have bought it years ago!! I found the 4.5 luminous sand is an exact match for me. It is that good that now I just skip foundation all together because this little miracle pen erases all my imperfections and horrible dark circles and transforms me into a fresh faced lady ;D My skin isnt bad, i just have a few little imperfections to hide but I have awful dark circles that won't go away no matter how long I sleep and this pen really makes them disappear and is one of the few products that I've used on my lower lids that wont crease so it is definately a winner. The staying power of this product is average, when I am not very active it lasts about 6 hours but I only had it for a week so I guess that it would need retouching after 3 hours if I was being a bit more active. I use this product under my eyes, on some pimple scars and on cupids bow and it does a wonderful job. The colour match is also brilliant, plenty of shades to choose from which is also a winner for me as it is usually hard to find a product that matches my sallow skin. I will definately buy this again and again and wont ever again buy another concealer. LOVE!

Treatments -Kerastase - Masque Force Architecte

Completely disappointed with this hair mask. I mean, it didn't make my hair horrible but it didn't improve it either. It is very expensive and doesn't really do much for the hair, it works just as any other hair mask you can get in your local chemist for 1/3 of the price, so it is really NOT worth it. If you want an inexpensive hair treatment that will actually help repair your damaged hair try the egg bomb, which will put more protein into your hair than any other mask! :)

Treatments -Kerastase - Ciment Thermique

Another one of my favourites from Kerastase! This is a GREAT heat protecting serum. I use it before I blow dry my hair, only a dime size is needed for medium-long hair which makes the product last for a good while. I apply the product onto towel dried hair and work it concentrating more on the lenght and ends of my hair. I love the delicate and clean smell of this product, it always makes me think of the salon :) I have definately seen a big difference in my hair since using this product compared to other heat protecting products I have used. This really does protect my hair and keeps it in good condition. It makes blow drying easier and leaves my hair feeling silky smooth. I use this for my blow-dry and then complete with Fibre Architecte if I am going to use the flat iron. I am really pleased with this product and don't really mind the high price so much as the bottle has lasted me for 6 months so far and I still have half of it left. Definately buying again and really recommend this product to anyone who cannot live without heat styling their hair on a regular basis.

OH HOW MUCH I LOVE YOU KERASTASE! This serum is just so awesome. I have no words to describe how good it is! I have no clue how it works on the hair but this is the only serum I ever used on my hair that actually seals the hair and the split ends, turning my dry bleached hair into silky smooth, glossy, healthy hair. Nothing else I used from the vast amount of serums and products I ever tried, from very expensive to drugstore brands, has performed this "miracle" on my hair. My only complaint is the packaging. Its good in itself but the pump is tricky. I was left with a bit of the clear serum but none of the transparent green with my first bottle. This was totally my fault so if you're thinking about buying this product, do make sure you're pressing on the pump evenly so the same amount of both serums is dispensed. This product cost me about €35 which is very expensive, at least for me but I think it is totally worth the money if you have severely damaged hair. Plus a little goes a long way so it isn't a product you would be buying every 2 months as happens with cheaper serums. So I am delighted to say I've found my HG! And will keep buying forever and ever :)

Treatments -Aussie - New 3 Minute Miracle Reconstructor
rated 2 of 5
sjesic 6/15/2012 5:53:00 PM

I don't understand why people like this conditioner so much. I get really annoyed when a product claims to be packed with natural goodness and essential oils but instead is packed with silicones and other synthetic stuff as the main ingredients. That said I hate the way this conditioner doesn't deliver. It doesn't moisturize my hair it just pretends to do it by coating it with silicones. Right after using it my hair feels soft and easy to brush, but as soon as my hair is dry it looks dull and as if it is suffering from severe product build-up. That is not what Im looking for in a product that promises nourishment and shine. I don't have oily hair whatsoever, in fact my hair is a bit damaged from bleaching and styling. This conditioner leaves me with greasy horrible hair that lacks volume particularly at the roots (even if I never apply conditioner to my roots!) and frizzy hair at the ends of my hair. The worst is it leaves my hair in terrible condition for styling and for some weird reason I still don't understand my hair looks terrible if I style it after using this conditioner. I really don't know why! So no nourishment, no moisturizing properties and complete waste of my money. I am never purchasing Aussie products again, this was my third disappointment with their products. First I thought that maybe I had chosen the wrong product for my hair type but after 3 failed attempts I know for sure Its not me, its the conditioner! Ladies with greasy hair. STAY AWAY FROM THIS!

MY HG NIGHT CREAM! best night cream EVER! and only €2!!! This stuff is just amazing! It has made my skin so nice and mositurized it is unbelievable, it evened out my skin tone and never broke me out. its done what many other (expensive) creams didn't and the best is it doesn't have any mineral oil in it which is definately a plus for me. Many people complain about the strong smell it has or the "not-so-hygienic" jar with a lid it has but I really look past that. this product is just WOW

Its an OK product. Didn't break me out but it is quite greasy. I have dry skin and I still found it a bit too much. I have to use powder to set it which really kills the whole point for me because I bought this so I didnt have to actually wear makeup. Not buying again

Liquid -Christian Dior - Diorskin Nude Hydrating Makeup SPF 10 [DISCONTINUED]
rated 3 of 5
sjesic 5/13/2012 7:02:00 PM

Oh how I wanted to love this foundation! It all started last summer. I was looking for a new foundation to try and I thought why not treat myself to some "designer" makeup. I went to the Dior counter in Debenhams and the lady was very friendly. She recommended me to try the new Diorskin Nude as it is supposed to give a natural glowing airbrushed finish. Pretty much everything I want in a foundation. She applied the makeup and I must say it did look AMAZING. She even gave me a little tub with a few pumps so I could bring home and try for the next few days. So I did. I was so pleased with it that I eventually bought myself this little "miracle" for €40!!!!! I never spend that much money on one single item of makeup but I thought it looked so nice that it was well worth it. Now, I dont know what happened because every single time I apply it it just looks, lets say, not so great anymore. I have a strict routine of cleansing and moisturizing before I apply makeup. This foundation just doesnt deliver for me anymore. Im not saying it is the worst thing ever but it doesnt look airbrushed or dewy anymore. It looks a bit dull and sets on any little dry patch I have on my skin, it actually brings out the ones I cant see without make up on. Then I thought maybe it was because I used powder to set it and thats why it lost its glow. but no. I gave it a second chance and applied it over primer, same thing happened. I applied it with a different brush, with a sponge, with my fingers.... I am only giving it 3 lippies because although the first few times I used it it did look great, now it doesnt even look as good as my new Catrice foundation (which only cost me €7 and looks fab) so it is a waste of money to pay that much for something that in the end didn't live up to its claims. It is an average- good foundation, now I use it over a thick layer of nightcream and primer whenever Im on a night out and it looks fine then. But no way during the day time. I am not repurchasing this product ever again.
