Eyeliner -Laura Mercier - Tightline Cake Eye Liner in Mahogany Brown

My favorite eyeliner ever and the only one I really use now. Still working on my first pan...this stuff lasts forever! If I ever run out, I'm buying another!

Liquid -Make Up For Ever - Face & Body Foundation
sj3663 9/15/2012 5:40:00 PM
This is my favorite foundation! Light coverage but buildable, neutralizes my redness. Wears well all day and even through tough sessions at the gym (I don't bother to remove my m/u first!). I use 38 and in years past when I guess I spent more time outdoors, I would mix it with 20 (I think) in the summers when my color was a bit darker. Love that it's in a pump bottle now! Lasts a long time...good value.

Palettes -Too Faced - Romantic Eye
sj3663 9/15/2012 5:25:00 PM
I'm enjoying the colors in this palette! Well, the Day and Classic looks are what I'm using. I don't know that the other is for me...not fitting into my lifestyle currently, at any rate. There is a good bit of fallout from these shadows, so I'm applying before my other makeup, so I can clean up under my eyes. I don't usually use e/s as liner, but this is working just fine! I am pleased with the "staying power"...just took a nap and my eye m/u looks fine! I don't use an eye shadow primer (gasp!) , so I imagine I'll be even more pleased if I ever get around to that! I do not like the packaging, but the getting six shadows I really like compensates for that. It's not that the packaging isn't sturdy, just...not aesthetically pleasing to me. I also find the price very reasonable, as I could spend a whole heck of a lot more trying and failing to put together colors that work well together. I just don't have that kind of time to spend! Overall, happy with this purchase.

Conditioner -Rusk - Sensories Calm 60 second Conditioner
sj3663 6/13/2009 11:13:00 AM
I love this conditioner! I have fine hair (an average amount) that is highlighted. The damage from highlighting makes my hair feel rough/strawlike and can tangle easily at the ends. My hair is usually chin length or a in inch or two longer. I need only a tiny amount of this conditioner and I rinse right away and my hair is tangle free and smooth. I've used this off and on for about 12 years and exclusively for the last 2 or three. A bottle lasts FOREVER. I can't recall when I bought my last one. Works great for me!

Styling Products -Sexy Hair Concepts - Root Pump Plus
sj3663 6/1/2009 8:39:00 PM
Good product for me! I have fine hair, average amount, but no natural lift at the roots. I think I've used a good number of the root-boosting products on the market and this is definitely a favorite-have repurchased at least 5 or 6 times. One can lasts me several months, so I think it's a good value at about 16 dollars.

Lip Gloss -Neutrogena - moistureshine lipgloss
sj3663 6/1/2009 8:28:00 PM
I like this lipgloss. I haven't noticed the smell some people mention. I think I've used Dreamy and Flirt. Both are good colors for me and have decent staying power...I just don't expect a lipgloss to last all day. It's not a big deal to me to reapply! This is one of my favorite d/s l/g brands.

Cleansers -Equate - 3-1 Facial Cleansing Towelettes
sj3663 6/1/2009 7:02:00 PM
I like 'em! These are not my primary method of makeup removal, but they are great for removing makeup before the gym or wiping off after, If I need to freshen up my makeup for an evening event and don't have time to totally start over, I use these to remove all but my eye mu. They're unscented and really gentle on my sensitive skin. I like them as well as any other cleansing wipe. They serve their purpose well! Note: To totally remove ALL of my makeup, I would typically use three sheets.

Scrubs -St. Ives - Apricot Scrub
sj3663 6/1/2009 6:54:00 PM
Too abrasive. Exfoliation doesn't have to be so harsh! Also, makes a huge mess...yuck. I now exfoliate by using Murad BHA/AHA cleanser a few times a week or by using the Aloette enzyme peel. Both great on my sensitive skin.

Treatments -Murad - Essential-C Daily Renewal Complex
sj3663 5/20/2009 10:15:00 AM
This stuff has worked for me--for what I wanted it to do. This year (I'm 31) I realized *finally* the damage sun does to my skin and that sun exposure is no longer just making me a pretty tan, but is causing hyperpigmentation--large blotchy "freckles" on my cheeks and nose, and a large brown splotch over my upper lip, darkness around my mouth in general. So, I'm doing the sunscreen thing everyday now, but was anxious to lessen the hyperpigmentation--heavy foundation and concealer just won't last on my face in the heat of the summer here. So, I researched a bit and landed on the Murad Environmental Shield products to try. I started off using the Daily Renewal Complex every other day only--I have redness and easily irritated skin. The serum is applied to a damp face after cleansing and it DOES sting a bit for about a minute. Not really enough to cause discomfort. Three weeks later, I am hunting for the places on my face I was applying extra concealer to. (Still faintly there, but MUFE F&B is covering without additional concealer--was using MUFE Full Cover). I am so pleased-especially since I thought it might take a really long time for ME to see results, using only every other day. The past few nights I have been able to apply the serum nightly--I've built up a tolerance?? I can honestly say this serum does not irritate my redness anymore than anything else. (My face is red from the light friction of a soft washcloth). Using the serum at night, my skin is as "calm" as it ever is by morning. This stuff is expensive, so I'm hoping with vigilant sun protection I won't need this again. And, since I've seen recipes for homemade Vitamin C serums, I might try that before purchasing this again. BUT, if I ever have the HP problem again and I need it gone FAST, I would buy this again with no hesitation.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Shroom
sj3663 5/16/2009 5:27:00 PM
A pretty, shimmery beige shadow. It just about matches my skin tone-maybe a bit darker, if anything. I have very deep set eyes and like it on my eyelid-the subtle shimmer brightens my eye without being over the top. Initially, I was disappointed the color wasn't lighter (I really was looking for a highlight color), but I'm finding shroom useful! I don't know if I'll purchase again, may try something new. EDIT: it's not really working. Tried applying as a wash without another color and it shows up almost a peachy champagne color that is not complimentary to my skin and I looked a bit sick around the eyes. I think I'm sending this one back. :(

Eyeliner -MAC - Prunella eye kohl
sj3663 5/16/2009 5:23:00 PM
I like this liner! It's soft, applies easily and is easy to smudge. I like that it's subtle, it's not nearly as purple-purple as the photo on the MAC site (at least it's showing a very true purple on my monitor!!) It's more like a deep brownish purple. Very flattering to green eyes and wearable with neutral looks. Perfect for me. Edit: The weather got warmer and the eye kohl started to smudge too badly to keep. So, back to MAC and I hate it because I really like the color look.

Lip Gloss -Bobbi Brown - Shimmer Lip Gloss - Rose Sugar
sj3663 5/16/2009 5:18:00 PM
I'm working on my second tube. A bit pricey, but lasts me a long time. This is a stick lip gloss, but I don't mind that, so not an issue for me. Long-lasting--which I appreciate as I need something to stand up against my coffee drinking habit!! Most important, pretty, pretty color on me (cool, fair, blonde).

Blush -Clinique - Blushing Blush Powder Blush in Cupid
sj3663 5/16/2009 5:13:00 PM
I say I'd buy it again, but I don't think I've ever run out of a blush! I'm very fair, cool-toned with blonde hair. I've had a very hard time finding a blush that doesn't look dirty/brown or orangey on my skin and this one is none of those things! I do have to use it sparingly--I am quite pale and have to blend-blend-blend to avoid bright streaks/spots of color. Looks pretty and fresh!

Eye Shadow -L'Oreal - Wear Infinite Quad in Very Violet
sj3663 5/16/2009 5:07:00 PM
I think this is a decent little quad for the money. Looked nice on my fair, cool compexion/against green eyes. It's a good stand-by for me. I used the top right and bottom left colors the most. They are a bit chalky/dusty, but not annoyingly so (to me). The e/s makes it through the work-day with no problem. I might not buy it again, since I've discovered other brands, but I don't regret the purchase! The packaging stinks--early on the "hinge" of the cover broke and THAT's not been fun (makes it hard to carry and I take my makeup bag everywhere!)
