Polishes -OPI - Vodka & Caviar

My go-to red. It's a bright, shiny, creamy red from OPI's Russian Collection. The colour is incredible, deep enough to not look garish but bright enough to not be vampy. It's a sexy red... I don't know how else to put it! Formula is excellent and if I was only allowed to have one red, it would be Vodka & Caviar.

Polishes -OPI - If You Moust You Moust

A bright, girly, blue-based pink! The formula is amazing, slides on, covers well. The colour is my go-to colour for pedicures in the summer but its definitely not a colour I would wear all year round. It's a very "Barbie" pink that's really fun but not an everyday staple, that's for sure.

Polishes -OPI - Suzi Sells Sushi By The Seashore

I was on a hunt for a great neutral. Even as the nail polish collector in my group of friends, I had yet to find a great neutral, or even a good neutral in any case. Neutral colours just aren't my pallette. But with the possibilty of a new office job and sometimes I just want my nails to be done but not over-bearing, I decided I would find one. I picked up "Suzi Sells Sushi" on a whim and I am actually quite pleased! It does look pretty blah in the bottle, at least to a girl who is usually drawn to royal blues and deep reds, but on the nail is a beautiful mix of pink, mauve and caramel with a very pearly finish. I am quite pale and depending on the light, the polish changes from a darkish mauve to a barely-there pink and I quite enjoy it. It is a bit bland for my liking but an excellent neutral that I suppose it necessary. It feels pretty, prim, and proper. The quality, as always, is impeccable.

Polishes -OPI - Thanks A Windmillion

Ever since I first saw the OPI Holland Collection, this polish caught my eye. I would always pick it up, swirl it around, and think "huh, what an odd colour". After passing it up for months but always checking it out whenever I passed a salon, I decided that I had to have it. Anything that interested me so often had to be worth it right? And yes, it was definitely worth it. A strange, cool toned dusty sage colour, this polish is beautifully subtle and colourful at the same time - ideal for spring and fall. It turned out to be very flattering on my yellow toned, pale skin. The formula was almost perfect - like a lot of OPI polishes nowadays, the first coat was streaky but the second coat was incredible. A wonderful, wonderful offbeat polish.

Polishes -OPI - Wooden Shoe Like To Know?
rated 5 of 5

I'm not one for brown nail polish but I just had to buy this one! "Wooden Shoe Like to Know?" is from the OPI Holland Collection and is a soft milky chocolate colour with fine shimmer - somewhat reminds me of rich hot cocoa. It's beautiful and perfect for fall and winter. Like the other polishes from the collection, the formula is fantastic! The first coat always seems a bit iffy, streaking and balding in places but the second coat applies like butter. It's warm without beng too dark and shimmering without being too "in-your-face". Beautiful polish.

The perfect green polish. That's all I really need to say. Application is wonderful, smooth and streak-free. The colour is bright yet understated and very flattering on most skintones. A colour to wear all year round.

Polishes -OPI - Just Spotted the Lizard

This is an exceptionally unusual polish, at least in my collection (it's said to be a dupe for Chanel's Peridot). It's a shiny, shimmery enchanting combination of green-gold-orange, even blue. When I'm wearing this colour, I can't look away! It really is mesmerizing. The application is flawless, like most OPI polishes. Two coats and you're left with smooth, shiny perfection. The only reason I gave this polish a 4 rather than a 5, is because I find it kind of hard to wear with my pale skin. I love looking at it in the bottle though!

Polishes -Essie - trophy wife

This polish is a really pretty colour but on my nails, it leans slightly more blue than in the bottle. Like most other Essie polishes, the first coat goes on streaky but the second coat evens everything out to a smooth, shimmery finish. I change my nail colour every two or three days so I can't say how long it will go without chipping but based on the application, I expect it would be comparable to the majority of other Essie nail polishes. Overall, a really pretty polish for all seasons.

Mascara -Maybelline - Volum' Express The Falsies

Everytime I finish a tube of mascara or am in need of a new one, I try to switch it up. I've never found a mascara that I loved until I tried this one. I don't know if I'll try a new one after this. The brush is curved and really easy to use. It gives dark, long lashes that I think can compare to fake eyelashes (well, as close as real eyelashes can look to being fake) and the result is absolutely beautiful. Love the formula and application of this mascara. Absolutely wonderful (and cheap too!)

Polishes -Sally Hansen - Greige Gardens

I've been looking for a nice grey-purple polish for a while to replace my Parlez Vous OPI? That has been discontinued. This is a nice polish. It applies perfectly and lasts long - I have several polishes from the complete salon manicure line and the formula is fantastic. The colour was kind of what I was looking for but it really isn't anything special.

Polishes -OPI - No Spain No Gain
rated 5 of 5

I adore this polish. I received it in mini-opi size as part of the Espana Mini Collection and have gone through the entire thing (unusual for me, I rarely wear colours more than a few times). I am desperately trying to find a full-size of this colour - I need it in my collection! The colour is rich and perfect for the fall/winter but also bright and colourful enough to wear spring and I even wear it into the summer (oops.) The application is lovely and the coverage is great. Perfect polish.

Polishes -China Glaze - Ruby Pumps

Dazzling. That's the word that comes to mind when I see this polish. After two coats, you're left with gorgeous red jelly nails loaded with red glitter. Ruby Pumps is the perfect name too - paying homage to the classic shoes it resembles from The Wizard of Oz. Not required in a collection but a gem to have. Perfect for the holidays.

Polishes -Sally Hansen - Complete Salon Manicure - Gilty Pleasure
rated 5 of 5
siobhanerin 5/14/2012 1:00:00 PM

Gilty Pleasure is my favourite gold polish, and I have a few. The colour is rich and shimmery but not tacky or too in-your-face metallic. It is opaque in one coat and applies evenly and buttery. The Sally Hansen Complete Manicure collection has a fantastic formula, I have about 6 of them. Great polish.

Polishes -OPI - I Have a Herring Problem
rated 4 of 5

This colour looked a lot more grey than blue on my nails as compared to the bottle. That was the onyl disappointment, however. If I had not expected a polish that was more blue-based I would have loved this polish- subtle and subdued but still pretty and shimmery. Application, like most other OPIs, was a dream. Opaque in 2 coats and self-leveling. A great polish, just don't be fooled by the colour in the bottle!

I feel like such a girly girl when I have this polish on! It's soft, shimmery and easy to apply. It's subtle but very pretty at the same time.
