Moisturizers -Mary Kay - Timewise Age Fighting Moisturizer
rated 5 of 5

I am currently 24. I have been using this product since I was 18 or 19 -- before they changed the packaging even!! I come back to this moisturizer over and over and over again. I use the combination to oily formula. It's light enough that it does not make my face look or feel greasy, but it manages to provide enough moisture. I don't have signs of aging either -- no fine lines or wrinkles. I'm not sure if that has to do with the moisturizer or if I'm just lucky =]

Gels/Soaps -Dove - Visiblecare (NutriumMoisture)

I generally buy a new type of shower gel each time I finish a bottle. I see myself buying this stuff again. I chose the purple bottle -- the softening formula. I was very pleased with the way my skin felt - I believe it works. It has a nice, thick consistency. I didn't use it for shaving cream, but it definitely could be used that way. My main complaint was that when I got to the bottom of the bottle, it was very hard to get the last bit out. I put just a little water in the bottle and shook it up - problem solved. I will definitely buy this again. Same formula and everything. I was really happy with the stuff... obviously.

Conditioner -Organix - Moroccan Argan Oil

I just reviewed this duo on the corresponding shampoo page =] The shampoo isn't terrible, but the conditioner has really let me down. The smell is wonderful -- very clean and fresh, but this is just not enough moisture. Even if I leave the conditioner on for the entire recommended 5 minutes, it just falls short. An earlier reviewer mentioned that this is on par with a $0.99 conditioner and she is right. For the price of this product, I was really unhappy with what I got. Not worth a repurchase to me.

Shampoo -Organix - Renewing Moroccan Argan Oil shampoo
rated 2 of 5
sinnedka 3/6/2012 4:44:00 PM

Bought the duo at WalMart. It seemed like a reasonable price for both. The smell is wonderful -- very clean and fresh. The shampoo is just too harsh on my hair. I have ended up using this more of a clarifying shampoo every so often when I get build-up. I will say, when I use the duo and let my hair air dry, it is very, VERY soft. HOWEVER, it is static-y as all get-out. It leads me to believe that my hair is moisturized because it's so soft, but after a few days of use, it's pretty obvious it just fries my hair. Overall, not worth repurchasing to me. I wish it were though, the smell is fantastic!

Shampoo -TiGi - Bed Head Urban Antidotes Recovery Shampoo (Level 2)
rated 5 of 5

i bought the duo after my hairdresser recommended it and i have continued to purchase since. i bought the big bottles with the pumps -- no issues. they do take up quite a bit of room in my shower, but it's not really a big deal. smells great, my hair is smooth and shiny. i notice a little bit of build up every so often, but overall, this is probably the best shampoo i've used in a very long time.

Blush -Mary Kay - Tangerine cheek glaze
rated 4 of 5
sinnedka 7/17/2010 3:01:00 AM

My mom bought this for me... I was at first put-off by the BRIGHT color in the pot, but as others have stated, it tends to go on sheer. It's buildable. It gives me a nice, warm glow without making me look like a clown. I like to wear it on its own, but if I'm looking for something a little more dramatic, I'll put some powder blush on top. I like it a lot. There is a TON of product in the pot, so I don't know that I'll need to buy any more right away, but I would definitely buy more if I ran out. It's my go-to right now. I recommend it.

Mascara -L'Oreal - Telescopic: Clean Definition
rated 2 of 5
sinnedka 3/29/2009 12:56:00 AM

I like this, kinda, but it's far from my go-to. I bought it on sale for about $3. The formula is pretty wet. It gets onto my browbone when most others are already dry. The brush is kinda like a rubber bristle one, but the brush is plastic, which feels weird if you poke yourself. If you over apply, it clumps. This doesn't build well in my experience. It does lengthen quite a bit. Overall, I use it for more of an everyday look, but I wouldn't buy it again.

Skincare - Face -Bioelements - Absolute Moisture
rated 2 of 5
sinnedka 2/21/2009 1:15:00 PM

This doesn't provide me with enough moisture. I put it on, but my skin still feels tight and uncomfortable. If I use it, I need to use something else in addition, which seems like a waste to me. I don't like that I have to get into a pot to get it. I think the packaging looks cool, though. I like that it doesn't have a scent. I think it's a really bad idea to use scented lotions near your eyes. Overall I just don't like it. I didn't purchase it for myself, and I wouldn't if I had the opportunity.

Eyeliner -L'Oreal - HiP Kohl Eyeliner- Black
rated 3 of 5
sinnedka 2/20/2009 12:26:00 AM

I'm on the fence with this stuff. I've been hearing great things about these types of kohl eyeliners, but I wasn't ready to pay for a Guerlain liner. When I saw these had come out, I instantly wanted one. I waited until they were BOGO and got some. The first time I used them, it was a complete disaster. There was fallout all over my face. So, I decided to keep at it, and the fallout had gotten better, but not completely gone. The black is BLACK, almost too overwhelming for my skintone (or experience level, depending), but when I get this right, it looks so, so pretty. I halfway want to take these back, but I want to keep them to practice, too. I said that I wouldn't repurchase, mainly because I still haven't made up my mind. There is a ton of powder packed into the little things, though, so I'm betting it will last a long, long time.

This stuff leaks all over my bathroom counter. Too much hassle to clean it, so I won't buy it ever again.

Lotions/ Creams -Suave - Naturals Ocean Breeze Body Lotion
rated 3 of 5
sinnedka 1/9/2009 12:21:00 AM

I bought this on clearance quite some time ago. I still have an almost full bottle, because it doesn't do a very nice job of moisturizing. I really only use it on my hands if they're dry and nothing else is near by. Smell is nice, packaging is OK. I'm not going to repurchase because I'm underwhelmed. Luckily, it was only about $.50 for 18 oz.

Gels/Soaps -Sephora - Soaps-ALL
rated 3 of 5
sinnedka 12/7/2008 3:06:00 PM

I received a sample of the Guava Passion shower gel the last time I went to Sephora. Firstly, it smells sickeningly sweet in the tube. I almost threw it out, but I decided to try it anyway. It smelled AMAZING in the shower and it stuck to my skin after the shower. I liked enough to consider running back to Sephora to buy the full-size version, BUT... It dried out my skin. It was tight and uncomfortable, and that really turned me off. I wondered if it was just maybe that my shower was too hot. So I tried it again, and the same problem. The smell is really pretty, but I'm sure I can find just as pretty as a smell but without the drying.

Lotions/ Creams -St. Ives - 24 Hour Moisture
rated 4 of 5
sinnedka 12/6/2008 3:40:00 PM

I don't think this stuff lasts 24 hours, but it does a really great job of moisturizing. I use it in the winter a lot and it certainly gets the job done. It does have a slight scent to to, but I notice that it generally doesn't linger. The pump works fine until the very end of the bottle. When there isn't much product left, it really frustrating to try and get it out. The only way I can get all of it out is to take out the pump and leave the bottle set on its side on an incline. This is annoying and the lotion usually ends up drying out. Overall, considering the price (cheap and often on sale) and the performance, I would buy this again -- despite the packaging issue.

Deodorants -Dove - Go Fresh Waterlilly and Freshmint
rated 2 of 5

I like Dove deodorants, but this stuff made me smell gross. I gave it to my mom because I couldn't stand my own smell after I used this.

Gels/Soaps -Johnson & Johnson - Softwash Body Wash
rated 4 of 5
sinnedka 11/20/2008 9:06:00 PM

I recently finished my first bottle of this. I bought the kind with the yellow cap because my roommate had used it and it smelled so good. I was initially unimpressed. I thought it left my skin more dry, so I only used it intermittently. My other body wash began causing me bad rashes and the softwash didn't, so I switched. After about a week of everyday use, my skin was noticeably soft after I got out of the shower. The smell was refreshing. I think I found a keeper. I have started my first pink cap bottle better and I'm not sure which one I like better overall. I think the yellow has a better smell, but the pink is way more rich and creamy. I'm so torn, but still so soft!
