Initially smells like brown sugar syrup and leather and then dies down on me to something like Estee Lauder's Azuree after a the herbs have died down. Through my sweater, I get leather, but on my arm I get molasses with leather underneath. I like it, but will rereview after wearing a few times. It's a quiet perfume suited to hot summer days and just sits around in a halo of warmth close to the skin.
With my skin chemistry, this scent smells amazing! It starts out of the bottle with a bitter orange herbal note that goes straight up my nose. When I first got the bottle I nearly washed it off after that full frontal assault but I kept it on and was surprised. As it dries it gets more brown sugar, orange and pine with some dirt to it. A few hours later and the herbal notes have faded leaving a powdery brown sugar and leather scent on me eventually becoming a blond leather powder. I love this and I love it hard. In DC's sultry humidity I find that most scents disappear in a matter of minutes, but Azuree has real staying power. When I walk outside in it, it stays on my skin and smells better than it did in the house.
