BeneFit has its ups and downs, but I do still have a love for the brand itself (yes, I am easily drawn in by cute packaging), so I thought that I would give this blush a try. Simply put, I love it. The color of the blush itself is a really nice punk, and looks subtle and natural on the cheeks. It also has a few gold flecks in it, which can go either way in a blush. Here, I think it works very well; there's just enough to give that pretty luminescence, but also not so much that it looks tacky when applied. The brush supplied by BeneFit is also surprisingly good quality, although I still prefer my blush brush from the Body Shop, as the supplied one is a bit wide for applying blush. This is also a long-lasting product; I do not have to reapply at all during the day. That's not to say that it doesn't come off easily (I've yet to see a blush that doesn't anyway). And as always, BeneFit went that extra mile with the packaging and the whole "boxed power" gimmick. But overall, it is cute. As with any product, though, I do have my qualms with Bella Bamba. My first is, of course, the price. I do believe that you pay for what you get, and that it's worth the money. Still, 40 bucks a pop is a bit much. My second issue is the packaging (yes, I know I said I loved it, but hear me out). To start out, it took me a good 10 minutes to be able to open this for the first time. Perhaps this was just out of stupidity, but nonetheless, it was very hard to get open. I ended up misshaping the slightly flimsy box in my efforts to get the thing open the first time, and after a few days it still takes me a few seconds (but maybe that's just me). But that brings me to my second point, which is that the box is hard to close properly. The problem is that when I am shutting the blush's box, the side of the box which is supposed to close outside the compartment that the blush is in comes down inside said compartment inside, which results in the corners of the box cutting into the blush. I have an irritating little dent in my blush now (and it's not just that rush of annoyance when I open the box to see such an imperfection, it's also that I have lost some precious and expensive blush). In short, the packaging is cute but poorly designed. All in all, this is my favorite blush on the market.
