First off, I hate most Elf products. But this...this is great! I really only use the wax as the powder is just too light for me. I love how compact it is, comes in a decent case, and the mirror is alright. The only thing is the brush SUCKS. Like the person below me stated, it is way too short. But of course it has to be to fit inside. I've been using Mac Quite Natural as a base because I couldn't find anything else. I saw one of these reviews and when I was in Target I decided why not. Glad I did pick it up. I still use quite natural, but I keep this in my purse and I touch up throughout the day as needed. I absolutely love how compact & travel friendly this is. Love it. Would purchase again.

Lips -Urban Decay - Super Saturated High Gloss Lip Color ALL SHADES
rated 4 of 5
silviachick 7/16/2012 5:23:00 PM

I bought this in lovechild. I really love these new lip pencils. I stuck with love child because I usually do a dramatic eye look and i need a more neutral lip color. This pink goes very well with my skin tone. I like how it feels like a lipstick but goes on very smooth & has more shine than a lipstick but less than a gloss. It does have lasting power, though I tend to touch up when I remember. The only issue I have is it IS a pencil in which I have go sharpen. Although it isn't a deal breaker for me. I would buy it again, and in the different colors they have available.

Eye Shadow -Wet 'n' Wild - Color Icon Trio - I Dream of Greenie
rated 4 of 5
silviachick 6/14/2012 2:21:00 AM

I recently went on a WnW kick and started buying/swapping for them. This was one I bought. I was actually quite hesitant to buy it because it has string greens. After sitting in my mu box for a few weeks I finally decided to use it. I'm so greatful I did. The eyelid shade is BEAUTIFUL. It can be layered on the lid for a lighter shade or built up for a brighter lime-y color. The crease shade is really quite pigmented and one shouldn't apply much pressure when picking up the shadow with a brush. It compliments the eyelid color really well and gives it the right touch of darkness for the crease, but still giving it a bright look. The browbone shade is sort of minty and really shimmery. I applied this with a light brush as I was really unsure how this would look. Again, however, it was just right and it completed the trio nicely. One user said the colors shouldn't be used together, but i disagree. I think they all go well and can be used together to create a fun look without looking too crazy(again this is my opinion). But if you wanted to add to it, that is obviously easy to do. But again, I like this trio and glad I did take the chance. I see myself using the eyelid color more than the others. WnW should make a single of this color.

Eye Primer -Urban Decay - Eyeshadow Primer Potion - Original (UDPP)
rated 4 of 5
silviachick 6/5/2012 4:16:00 PM

I like this primer. Not love. It does make your eyeshadow last all day. hell I even slept in my mu one night & it was all in tact. I only have two gripes with this. It isn't completely nude. Like someone said, it had pink undertones, and so for some it won't be nude. 2nd, once eyeshadow goes on, it won't budge. Now this is a good & bad. Bad because for some(like me) it can make blending harder. Idk if it's the eyeshadows I'm using or I'm not blending long enough, but seriously. Once you put something on top of the primer, it won't budge. Overall, it is everything other people have said, but for $20, there's other primers I'd rather buy. So no, I won't buy it again, BUT I'd swap for it.

Eyeliner -Sephora - Flashy Liner Waterproof
rated 5 of 5
silviachick 5/11/2012 5:42:00 AM

This is my HG eyeliner. I was looking for an eyeliner that went on smoothly, had a variety of colors to choose from, and stayed on my waterlines. This did it. I happened to be placing an order on Sephora and just decided to give this a try. I'm really glad I did. I wear contacts and have no issues applying or having the product coming off. I love how easily this glides on my lids, without being too soft.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Paint Pot in Quite Natural
rated 4 of 5
silviachick 5/11/2012 5:36:00 AM

First off, I'be been in the process of shaping my brows for quite some time and this helps fill in areas where its bare and eyeshadow alone doesn't quite work. I love using this to help define my brow shape and going over it with a similar brown eyeshadow. I love how long this pp lasts, about a year and a half with everyday use. My only complaint is that it starts to dry out from being opened so much. I know that's normal, but still annoying. (I've heard there are ways of reviving the product, but i just haven't tried yet)

Eye Shadow -Wet 'n' Wild - Color Icon Trio - Sweet as Candy
rated 4 of 5
silviachick 4/6/2012 5:57:00 PM

This is seriously my go-to palette. I've been doing a lot more natural/neutral looks lately, and this has taken all the guess work out of it. I usually have passed up on WnW anything because I've been so disappointed of them in the past. I've tried other trios, but haven't had much success. However, Sweet as Candy is different. The colors are really complimentry of each other, they blend wonderfully, and each eyeshadow has decent pigmentation. Like someone reviewed below, the pink shade sort of lacks pigmentation. You can build it up to get it the way you want it to, but I've found that it can wear down to a soft pink as the day goes on, even with a primer. The brown shade is pretty decent and has really good color payoff. It's a shade that can easily be darker or lighter depending on how much you use. The vanilla shade has some serious pigmentation and has huge color payoff. Its really shimmery, so if you're someone who doesn't like a high shimmer on their brow bone, I suggest you use this lightly. The included brushes, a sponge tip and a regular small brush, are a joke. I wouldn't use these at all, and generally throw them out. This has been my favorite trio from WnW so far. I suggest it for people who want something they can easily carry with them in their bag or for travel and need something small. I would buy this trio again, however I see myself only really needing to buy the pink shade again.

Polishes -OPI - Rainbow Connection
rated 4 of 5
silviachick 2/23/2012 10:02:00 PM

I LOVE this nail polish. The only reason why I didn't give it a 5, was I feel like the glitter can tend to slide off easily off my nail. However, I love the different size of glitter flicks and the colors. I had seen reviews and dupes of this NP, but when I saw this up for swap I had to snatch it up. I'm so glad this lovely swapper swapped with me. I wouldn't know what I was missing out on. I LOVE glitter nail polishes, but hate removing it. And yes I've tried the foil method, but doesn't work for me. But I think since the pieces are chunkier in RC, its easier for me to remove it. I get so many compliments when I wear this. Like someone has said, its like a party on my nails. If you can find it, and you like glitter, I suggest picking up a bottle.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Dalliance - Peacocky 2011 Collection Mega Metal Shadow
rated 4 of 5
silviachick 11/15/2011 6:30:00 PM

LOVE LOVE LOVE Dalliance. I always used Maui Wowie by Urban Decay but didn't like the glitter fallout. I felt like I was always wasting product. With Dalliance, i don't have to worry about tapping off product or fallout. I always use this with black tied and I love the look I get. I kind of want a back up of this since its LE, but at the same time, I feel like its going to take a while before I hit pan.

Powder -MAC - Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation
rated 4 of 5
silviachick 10/1/2011 7:24:00 PM

This product gives me a much fuller coverage compared to my mineral powder(not mac). I really like this product for that reason. In times when I've stupidly stayed out in the sun much too long and i have the racoon tan from sunglasses, this somehow evens things out. I know most people have problems with their skin breaking out, but I've had no problems(lucky i guess). My only grip with this is the sponge applicator included(i use a mini brush that luckily fits in the bottom) and the price has gone up. Idk if I'll continue to buy this, but i have a feeling I might. This does last me a long time, but I don't use it everyday. So in a sense the cost is justified.

Mascara -Urban Decay - Supercurl Curling Mascara
rated 4 of 5
silviachick 9/30/2011 8:14:00 PM

I recieved a mini when I purchased the 15 year anniversary palette. I'm really glad I did. I usually use BE's buxom mascara, but i couldn't get the dramatic look with it. The UD supercurl does what the Buxom mascara does, but i get more definition and curl. My eyelashes are straight and short. With this mascara I get everything I need. My only downside is after 8+hours I can see the mascara kind of wearing off. However since I don't wear my make up that long, it isn't that big of a problem for me.

Mascara -Maybelline - Volum' Express The Falsies
rated 3 of 5
silviachick 6/22/2011 6:48:00 PM

I first tried this profuct after reciving it in an raok. I really liked it at first. My lashes were longer, they held their curl, and they had staying power. However after I've started to use this, my lashes don't seem to as full/long as before, they def aren't holding their curl, and the mascara seems to dry out then flake off. Totally disappointed as I bought one as a back up since I had such good luck. Luckily it doesn't cost much, so I don't feel like I totally wasted my money on it. however in the meantime, I'm going to stick with my be buxom mascara & ulta amped lashes mascara.

Hair Color -John Frieda - Precision Foam Color
rated 1 of 5
silviachick 5/20/2011 9:00:00 PM

I am truly thankful I got the free coupon to try this product because if I had actually spent $12.99 on it, I would have called to complain. this dye did not dye my hair. I usually lighten my hair, as my roots are a dark brown and I prefer a light ash brown or dark blonde. Well I had highlighted it a few weks ago & noticed my roots coming. So I figured it was a perfect time to dye it. I left it in for 30 as I do have a few white hairs. I did notice my roots did lighten up, but you can totally tell the difference. I have never had a product do this to my hair. I like the idea of the foam as it was actually easier to cover my shoulder length hair, but the outcome was a turn off. I say pass on this & go buy ur regular box of dye.

Misc Beauty Tools -Sephora - SEPHORA - Whole Store
rated 4 of 5
silviachick 4/26/2011 7:25:00 PM

I really like Sephora. I do like the other store more, but that's mostly because of location. I like Sephora for the wide range of cosmetics they have. Both mid-end and high end. I'm more low to mid-end in cosmetics, but I like being able to see what is available in store, without having to go to a huge department store and feeling like someone is always watching over me, or needing to help me when I don't want or need it. While some associates seem to be better than others, I've never had a bad experience with any of them. They've always been more than helpful, offering advice and samples of products if needed. I do like their VIB system, even if it takes me FOREVER to reach the $100 point mark. If Sephora was in a location better than the middle courtyard of my mall where there's never any parking, I'd be shopping there a lot more often.

Hair Color -Revlon - Colorsilk
rated 5 of 5
silviachick 4/21/2011 10:52:00 PM

I ALWAYS use Colorsilk when dying my own hair. I've never had a problem with it what so ever. My hair is fine and wavy/straight, just below my shoulders. I've used Colorsilk for years and in different shades from black to ash blonde(a dark blonde/light light brown). I get really good coverage and have never been disappointed.
