Eye Makeup Remover -Simple - Eye Make-Up Remover
rated 2 of 5

Package: The soft plastic bottle allows me to squeeze out the product and that's something I prefer over a hard plastic bottle which just slowly drips product out. Points there. Product: Everything that you can wear on your eye, I do wear on my eye and this made a quick job of getting it all off (didn't have wp mascara on fyi); I soaked a cotton pad and left it in the eye for a second or so and wiped off. However, it stung my eyes. Not a lot, but I just wasn't expecting it to and it caught me a little off guard. I do plan on using this up, but probably more for cleaning up with a swab. Overall, not a bad product if you are in a pinch, does work well as a eye makeup remover, but beware the sting!

Lipstick -Revlon - Just Enough Buff
rated 3 of 5
silver_aria 9/28/2010 1:55:00 AM

this is the colour of my dreams! Unfortunately, it is not the formula of my dreams. It's not the creamiest of lipsticks so it can drag a little bit and highlight every single slightly dry area on the lip. A little bit of lip balm solves this, but then the lipstick doesn't last nearly as long. The colour is pretty sheer, so if you're looking for something opaque-ish, this isn't it. I will work around it because I love the shade so much, but I won't be repurchasing.

Sunscreen -Peter Thomas Roth - Uber Dry Sunscreen SPF 30
rated 3 of 5
silver_aria 6/9/2009 2:17:00 PM

I bought this sunscreen because I was looking for a dry touch sunscreen with antioxidants and this totally fit the bill! It goes on nice and creamy and the finish is very smooth - not tacky at all. This is an excellent sunscreen for the beach/with beach clothing. I was reapplying this all day, but when I went to take off the cardigan I was wearing during the evening, I found little bits of the sunscreen which had rolled off my skin onto my black cardigan. A little unpleasant and surprising - but nothing horrible - just something to keep in mind. I would have liked a higher SPF as well.

Eye Shadow -Pixi - Eye Beauty Kit in No.11 Mod
rated 2 of 5
silver_aria 3/25/2009 6:15:00 PM

I bought this off ebay for a substantially lower price, but the price you pay at target really isn't worth it. As is with the other eye beauty palettes, the pigmentation is quite low in Mod - even the dark navy comes off really sheer. The brush that it comes with is terrible at holding the shadow and just makes a mess; use your own brush. I would expect that with an almost $30 price point, a real mirror would be included in the compact and not a shiny silver sticker. A couple of the colours in my kit were quite grainy and others very smooth - they have to a grip on their quality control. They do however blend quite well if you use a brush after application with your finger. They are also much better wet. I would only buy again for the colour selection and if it were on sale, otherwise, it's not worth your $30.

Lotions/ Creams -C.O. Bigelow - Lemon Body Cream
rated 5 of 5
silver_aria 2/25/2009 10:48:00 PM

This is a great moisturizer! It just creamy enough to slip on without having to really work it into the skin and it has an light, inoffensive lemon scent. I put on before bed and wake up with really soft skin. The tub lasts forever too!

Hair -Klorane - Dry shampoo
rated 4 of 5
silver_aria 2/13/2009 4:21:00 AM

This is a lifesaver; it absorbs oil and gives hair more body, although you won't want to be running your fingers through it too much after. A little tricky to use and if you overdo it, it's not fun to get out if you are in a rush. The scent is inoffensive - I wouldn't even mind if it were to have more of a perfume scent to it. I have the non-aerosol version and only need a few "puffs" to get me through a day. Great stuff.

Moisturizers -Philosophy - Hope in a Jar - for all skin types
rated 1 of 5
silver_aria 2/13/2009 4:06:00 AM

I think it's hit or miss with this one for a lot of people. I snagged myself a full size container because I had heard so many good things about it and figured that even if it didn't live up to its claims, I would at least be able to incorporate a gentle bit of exfoliation with the lactic acid. I am usually pretty good with products and up until this, I had never had an adverse reaction to a facial moisturizer. I put this on in the evening before bed and woke up with little bumps all over my face, they weren't red or itchy but it looked like I had hives all over my cheeks and the bridge of my nose. It took about a week for it to fade and I tried one more time just to make sure the reaction wasn't to something else I put on, but sure enough. The scent isn't giving this product any points either. I passed it onto a friend who had absolutely no problems with it.

Moisturizers -Unlisted Brand - Olivier & Co - Sublime Face Oil
rated 5 of 5
silver_aria 2/11/2009 10:04:00 PM

I received a sample of this when I bought the hand cream and was hooked. A blend of olive and evening primose oil among others, this is an amazing moisturizer. The smell is a little nutty and it's not a dry oil but don't let that stop you. Just give it a little time to soak in before hitting the sack. It's also organic, which is always nice.

Cleansers -Murad - Energizing Pomegranate Cleanser
rated 4 of 5
silver_aria 2/11/2009 9:52:00 PM

A nice novel cleanser. It has a fruity scent (which probably a little unnecessary) and comes out in a foam. I'd recommend it as a morning wash to freshen up as opposed to an evening wash as it doesn't do a very good job of removing all my makeup - and I don't wear very much. Great packaging.

Moisturizers -Murad - Energizing Pomegranate Moisturizer SPF 15
rated 5 of 5
silver_aria 2/11/2009 9:47:00 PM

Great moisturizer. Lightly scented with SPF and a light texture, it's one I'm putting I'm going to keep going back to (for the summer anyhow). It also has an "energizing pomegranate complex" although I'm not too sure what that entails. It's too bad I have to cross the border to get this. Deducted one from packaging because the lid doesn't fit very securely which is not fun when traveling.

Cleansers -Philosophy - Purity Made Simple (Real Purity Cleanser)
rated 3 of 5

It takes off waterproof make up easily and I like how it doesn't sud up. However, it's not anything exceptional. And the smell is odd.

Eyeliner -Smashbox - Smashing Cream Eyeliner
rated 4 of 5
silver_aria 2/11/2009 9:35:00 PM

The product tends to move towards the end of the day, but slip a little primer underneath and it stays a little better. The eyeliner has a good texture that goes on well. It dries pretty quickly once you put it on so it offers a good solid line, however, solid isn't always appropriate. This tiny tub is going to last a long, long time

Moisturizers -Korres - Yogurt Cream (Yoghurt Cream)
rated 1 of 5
silver_aria 2/11/2009 9:29:00 PM

I was so excited to try this out only to be sorely disappointed. The cream is a nice consistency but when it put it on, it doesn't fully absorb into the skin and you're left with a tacky feeling on the skin. I had to wash it off, but at least my skin was nice and moisturized afterward. Also, the jar - packaging would have gained another point if it come in a tube or a pump.

Bronzers -Wet 'n' Wild - Bronzer
rated 5 of 5
silver_aria 2/11/2009 9:24:00 PM

This bronzer is top notch. I have been using rio radiance for about a month and have been very happy with it. It has just the right amount of shimmer and the powder blends well. It comes with a brush - which is not all that useful - and it's not something I would toss in my handbag for fear of the compact busting open, but for this price, I'll deal. The colour stays all day and the shade is golden without being too brown. Love it!

Scrubs -Dr. Brandt - Microdermabrasion in a Jar
rated 4 of 5
silver_aria 2/11/2009 9:17:00 PM

This is a serious scrub. The crystals are a little rough but the results are quite amazing. My skin was so smooth right after and stayed smooth for days afterward. The scent is a little off but that's always a personal thing. It's an expensive product for sure so I would highly recommend getting a sample before investing in this highly packaged product. I, however, will not be a repeat purchaser just because I feel like it's a little too much for my skin on a regular basis - I will probably stick to my regular exfoliant.
