PIcks me up during the day. Best pink grapefruit scent on the market in my opinion - not too sharp and not too sweet. WIll buy again and again.

Blush -Shiseido - Luminizing Satin Face Color - PK304 Carnation

This blush suits my warm-toned skin. It makes my cheekbones stand out and my face look alive. A couple of other reviews note that this is a blush for cool-skinned girls; I suppose it's a matter of wanting a naturalistic flush (cool skin) vs. a brightening pop (warm skin). The packaged brush is superb, soft and precise enough to apply at the top of the cheekbone for that great pop. Throw a mirror in and you've got all you need for touch-ups in one sleek package. These quality extras make the product almost - almost - worth the sticker shock. Why so expensive? It's finely milled, yes, but not any more so than Nars. The between-matte-and-shimmer finish is classy, but not all that unique. I'd buy it again if I lost it, but I'd cry inside.

Blush -MAC - Sheertone Shimmer - Peachtwist

This is an odd duck. A dusting with the 187 mirrors my natural flush exactly, so much so that it doesn't look like I'm wearing makeup, only that I'm more awake than I really am. I can't wear it too heavy or it looks BAM, red. But if I just layer a touch MAC Sunbasque under it, I can really go to town with it for nighttime - think of a modern version of the early 90's brown neutral looks when used this way, a lovely glowy russet cheek. The sparkles in this are interesting, different colours and sizes that scatter light much better than the flat sheen of Sunbasque. One lippie off because I wish I didn't have to combine it with Sunbasque -- if there's any blush out there that works like this, that would be my HG. NC30-35 for reference.

Blush -NARS - Madly

Lovely everyday blush. This surprised me because it shows up peachy-pink on me, kind of how I would expect Nars Deep Throat to (haven't tried DT so I can't strictly compare). Gives me a natural, tanned, healthy glow. Texture is impeccable as Nars blushes always are. I like to pair it with Mac Pleasureseeker on the lips. I'm NC30-35 for reference.

Buttery-soft, with just the right amount of shimmer and pigmentation. I swear to God I'll never need buy another black eyeshadow in my life! **EDIT: I find it's not dark enough for some looks now, so I will be needing other black shadoes. But no lippies off because it's perfect for what it is.

Blush -The Body Shop - Cheek Color - 09 Toast

Aw, this baby gets a bad rep. I think it makes a great bronzer. I dust it lightly on my forehead, chin and bridge of nose. This way it just makes the skin dark. Then I apply it more liberally on my cheekbones, and in this greater concentration it seems to show up peachy. Goes very well with a bronzy-neutral face. NC35, black eyes, brown hair
