you know, i really thought i would love this product. i loved the idea of using an oil, my mom has given me head massages with coconut oil pakistani style since i was a kid and it's good for your hair. i love a heavier product that keeps my curls together in nice ringlets. i have actually had great success using frizz ease for coarse hair. HOWEVER! this was gross. i was excited to use it, i had just gotten a new hair cut and was stoked to try this cute product with the nice smell, and i was embarassed all day! i wanted to go home and wash it out! it made my hair slick and greasy, and trust me i only used a dime size for my thick, coarse, curly hair, past shoulder length hair. it actually flattened out some of my curls somehow? i am very low maintenance, i just condition, put something nice in my hair and let it air dry. my curls go crazy and i like it. with this product, my hair was flat, not bouncy, weirdly curly, and slick to the touch. i read all the reviews beforehand and really fell in love with it before i tried it heh. i don't want to use frizz ease but man my hair looks great with it. i would love to switch to something more natural that has less of a generic scent but..

Liquid -La Roche Posay - Toleriane-Corrective Fluid Foundation

I must thank xxkonixx for comparing this to chanel's double perfection fluide. that was my hg foundation for so long and then suddenly it was discontinued and i have been searching for something near as good ever since this is better! and cheaper! and more sanitary! it's perfectly matte, lasts forever, no waste, no unnecessarily huge packaging to mask a small amount of product. readily available and has spf 20. it manages to keep my tzone matte without emphasizing the dryness i tend to get on my chin, which is pretty much a miracle the coverage is INCREDIBLE and it blends perfectly. i have scarring from acne, as well as some zits, and it goes on beautifully when many other foundations would sink in and make everything look more dull or more flakey or more zitty i'm using 13 beige sable. for reference i used 30 shell with chanel double perfection and nc30 i am acne prone so i will have to see that this won't break me out. will update with that info in a few weeks thank you lovely reviewers for convincing me to try this. i normally would NEVER buy a foundation i couldn't sample for days first but this really looks like a champ

Mascara -L'Oreal - Telescopic

this is a little hard to work with. the brush is strange and i prefer big ones to comb through my thick lashes and separate.. but it manages to do a really good job. it separates better than loreal voluminous and it thickens and lengthens. the staying power is great :) i think i will rebuy

this is the only mascara i've ever rebought. i got it for free with a box of hairdye YEARS ago and i've been buying it on and off ever since. i use carbon black on my already black lashes. it separates and lengthens and people often ask me if i'm wearing fake lashes. i do NOT get spiderlegs with this or any clumping which is a big deal to me. i'm currently trying loreal telescopic but this is truly a special mascara

Styling Products -John Frieda - Brilliant Brunette Starlit Waves
rated 4 of 5
sickstew 4/21/2007 3:39:00 PM

the smell, price and packaging are great. it's easy to apply too much and it doesn't make my hair softer (which i really look for in a curl defining product because my hair is quite coarse) but if i condition well this really defines my ringlets :) to be honest, i prefer frizz ease applied when my hair is soaking wet but i often use this just for the smell

Shampoo -John Frieda - Brilliant Brunette Shine Release Moisturizing Shampoo

the smell and packaging are SO beautiful :) it does define my curls and makes my hair smoother, but if i use it everyday it makes my ends brittle. i keep it in my shower and use it every once in a while but it isn't moisturizing, it may be a little too heavy on the silicones as well

Styling Products -John Frieda - Frizz-Ease Hair Serum

it makes my hair so soft and smooth :) i have coarse and curly hair and even when i straighten it with a ceramic iron my ends look a little coarse. this makes my hair perfect when i blow dry and then iron it straight AND if i apply it when my hair is soaking wet and airdry my curls are much softer and more defined :) yay! and it hasn't broken me out. this is a big deal to me because silicone hairproducts tend to make me break out in the shoulder and hairline area and i have heavy bangs :)

Liquid -Estee Lauder - Double Wear
rated 4 of 5
sickstew 4/21/2007 3:32:00 PM

this is a great foundation :) it really does stay on and looks perfect after 8 hours at work. it stayed matte though i did need to blot during the day. it managed to not dry out OR break out my sensitive and acne prone skin, and did a good job at hiding pores. the only reason i don't use this now is because the coverage is a bit too heavy for me, i prefer a sheer foundation. if you want more coverage, please try this, estee lauder is great about samples :)

Lip Gloss -DuWop - Venom Gloss
rated 3 of 5
sickstew 4/21/2007 3:30:00 PM

i had this in lantana and thought it was beautiful. i loved the smell and the texture, though it was a bit sticky, was great. i actually noticed more plumping with these than with the venom gloss though the results weren't significant either way. maybe i got a bad batch, but it went bad quickly and the smell became very strange and almost vinegary. the packaging also leaked =\

stings, makes my lips red, doesn't make them any plumper. i LOVE the smell but it went bad fairly quickly and started to smell very strange =\

Fragrance -Donna Karan - DKNY Be Delicious Men

i LOVE this. i bought it for my ex boyfriend and it's just my favourite scent for men ever. to be honest, at one point i asked him to just leave it with me and i used it for myself. it's a beautiful scent, not overly masculine or musky. i love to spray my clothes with it :) i've never tried the version for women but i assume it would be sweeter than this is, but it's perfect just the way it is

i love these :) i have white teeth but i started drinking coffee recently and they've yellowed a bit. these brought my teeth back to a sparkling white before i even finished the box. i sometimes have to do them every other day instead of every day because they can make my front teeth quite sensitive. now i use them every once in a while when i want to feel extra bright :D

not sure if it whitens my teeth but it keeps my mind at ease and maybe i can just believe that it's maintaining my pearly white teeth. the taste, smell and packaging are why i keep buying this guy :)

Moisturizers -Clean & Clear - Oil-Free Dual Action Moisturizer
rated 4 of 5
sickstew 4/21/2007 3:23:00 PM

this isn't the greatest moisturizer but it has helped to keep my skin clear. i don't need a ton of moisture but i also find that it leaves my face shiney. it's alright because makeup goes on nicely and it keeps my skin smooth. not hg by any stretch but i'll keep it around. i sometimes use it at night to fight acne but i've been using alpha hydrox lately. i use it on my back as well and it's great for body acne :)

Misc Beauty Tools -Clean & Clear - Oil Absorbing Sheets

HG HG HG HG HG

i have oily skin, acne prone. for a while i was just touching up with mac blot at work/during the day but it ended up looking so cakey and that much mu has to clog your pores atleast a little no matter how great the product is. ever since i discovered these, i've been setting my mu with mac blot and then leaving it home. i use maybe 2 a day, sometimes more depending on how long my day is. one sheet is enough for my nose, cheeks, forehead and eyelids (assuming i'm not dripping oil or anything)

they look kind of gross but they honestly don't remove ANY makeup and just absorb the oil right off my face. i swear i've been breaking out less since i started using these. i DO wish that you got more in one pack for the price and i often go for the shopper's drugmart brand dupe which is maybe $2 cheaper but they are hg no matter what
