Sunscreen -Kiss My Face - Face Factor-SPF30
rated 4 of 5

This is a gentle and organic sunscreen that doesn't sting upon application, unlike Neutrogena sunscreens I've used (and considered as HG!) in the past. It doesn't have any strong chemical scent, just a mild natural scent that is not irritating. Absorbs well and is slightly moisturizing. The consistency is nice as well, neither thick nor runny. I am on my second bottle!

Gels/Soaps -Kiss My Face - Olive Oil Soap
rated 3 of 5
shopaholicbeb 7/22/2009 12:44:00 PM

KMF gives a generous amount of this soap that lasts forever. I'm still on my first bar and I bought this several months ago. I do have a ventilated soap dish to store this bar but somehow it still gets a little gunky. I hate that...it gets all gooey everywhere on the soap dish. When I first started using this, my face was sensitive to it and I got little red spots temporarily. I just use it on my body now and if I do use it on my face, I use sparingly. It is much better than those drugstore brands such as Dove, Ivory, etc. and I would choose this olive oil soap over those anyday.

Skincare - Face -Jason Natural Cosmetics - Pure Beauty Oil 45000 IU Vitamin E
rated 4 of 5
shopaholicbeb 7/16/2009 5:34:00 AM

I use the 5,000 IU for this oil, and boy am I glad I tried it. Previously I was using EVOO but I wanted to start experimenting with different oils. I loved the cap design for this one b/c it's snap-cap so only droplets can come out instead of the screw cap where all of it can accidentally come out. The vitamin e oil is great for fading scars and discolorations - due to a past skin illness, I have some big scars on my legs and torso and so continually applying this daily has really helped. The oil itself is moisturizing as a body oil (I dismissed body lotion a long time ago) ^^ I also use as a makeup remover.

Mascara -Max Factor - 2000 Calorie Aqua Lash
rated 3 of 5
shopaholicbeb 7/16/2009 5:05:00 AM

This mascara is mediocre compared to other drugstore mascaras on the market. I've used quite a lot of drugstore mascaras so far, and this is just average performance. Waterproof strength is okay, I've seen other mascaras do better. First time I wore there were smudged rings on my bottom eyelid and that was pretty horrific. Maybe b/c of the sunscreen. However I tried Maybelline, L'oreal mascaras in waterproof version and this is the first time it happened to me. I noticed I shouldn't put any sunscreen in my eye area or the mascara will smudge. The next I wore it I took some care not to apply sunscreen in the eye area and it didn't smudge as much. Doesn't really volumize, lengthens some, overall just a so-so performance. I don't think I will be purchasing this again once the 3 month expiration is up.

Eyes -DHC - Eye Lash tonic
rated 4 of 5
shopaholicbeb 12/4/2008 12:21:00 AM

This eyelash tonic made my lashes grow and strengthen considerably. The liquid does get cloudy and dirty with use but it doesn't really bother me because it still works its magic. It can sting if you accidentally poke your eyeball. I won't be repurchasing after using it up however, I am looking into more natural options (puncturing a vitamin E capsule and smearing it on your eyelashes?).

Styling Products -Got 2 Be - Crazy Sleek Hot Smooth Iron & Blow Dry Lotion
rated 3 of 5

They need a little locking device to lock this spray or else it gets everywhere if you take it with you during traveling. Smells okay...sweet and orangey. Not quite sure if it's really protecting my hair or not when I flat iron, but it does tame some of the frizziness if I put on damp hair.

Scrubs -Unlisted Brand - brown sugar scrub
rated 4 of 5
shopaholicbeb 12/3/2008 1:55:00 PM

Ever since trying to move towards natural products, I have officially ditched St. Ives scrub for this little gem. Dirt cheap and all natural! No chemicals that I can't even pronounce, and just a little brown sugar mixed with extra virgin olive oil makes my face baby soft. I want to try other combinations next time, such as honey + sugar, milk + sugar, etc. The possibilities are endless!

Lotions/ Creams -Bath and Body Works - Skin Repair Healing Body Butter - Black Raspberry Vanilla
rated 4 of 5
shopaholicbeb 10/24/2008 6:02:00 PM

I still have this body butter and I purchased it years ago! I'm working on using it up...I'm almost there. I still have an extra bottle of the same body butter in cucumber melon so I'm well stocked up. This body butter is very moisturizing since it has shea and jojoba butters. The smell is yummy too, although it'd be nice if it was more subtle. I use it on my dry spots such as my elbows and the heels of my feet.

Sunscreen -Aveeno - Active Naturals Continuous Protection Sunblock Lotion - Face SPF 30
rated 2 of 5
shopaholicbeb 10/24/2008 3:53:00 PM

Aveeno's sunscreens are just as bad as Neutrogena ones...they make my face red and develop rashes. They use way too strong chemicals. Still on the search for HG sunscreen (a more natural one at that!)...

Cleansers -Shiseido - "Perfect Oil" Cleansing Oil
rated 3 of 5
shopaholicbeb 10/24/2008 3:35:00 PM

I've already been using the OCM for years, and this is a very average cleansing oil. It's thin, watery, and you need to use several pumps. Nevertheless it seems to wash off all the makeup. There's nothing that really wows me about it...just gets the job done. Price is a bargain. Don't know why but my bottle started leaking halfway through using the bottle. Will not be purchasing again.

Treatments (Eye) -Korres - Evening Primrose Eye Cream
rated 4 of 5
shopaholicbeb 10/24/2008 3:14:00 PM

I was given a sample of this at Sephora, and I've tried it for two weeks nightly. Seems like it serves as a day cream with the SPF, but it's equally good as a night cream. Very moisturizing, can still feel it the next morning when I wake up. The cream is a little thick and doesn't glide on as easily, but patting it in always does the trick. Plus gentle and natural ingredients are used, which is always a plus in my book. Might purchase the full version after I'm done with all my eye creams.

Treatments (Eye) -Clinique - All About Eyes Rich
rated 4 of 5
shopaholicbeb 10/24/2008 3:08:00 PM

I've been using this for about two weeks now nightly...I love it! My friend loves Clinique's eye creams and she raved about All About Eyes. I wanted something more moisturizing, so I got the rich version. It's moisturizing and doesn't form milia near my eyes (which I usually get when I apply really rich eye creams). Love the packaging, it's really cute but can be unsanitary since it's a tub. I wake up the next day and can still feel the cream near my eyes, so that's good!

Cleansers -Aveeno - Aveeno Clear Complexion Foaming Cleanser
rated 3 of 5
shopaholicbeb 10/21/2008 4:55:00 PM

This product seems really gentle and I like the foaming/lather it creates when I use it. No clogged pores with this cleanser. My concern is though it rates 7/10 on the hazard scale at Skin Deep, so I'd opt for a more natural cleanser. Don't know about the cleanser making my face dry out...maybe a little.

Treatments -Bath and Body Works - Pure Simplicity White Tea Line Prevention Serum
rated 2 of 5
shopaholicbeb 10/14/2008 4:00:00 PM

I believe they discontinued this product... This is an okay serum. It seems light at first but you can still feel it on your skin hours later because your skin is sticky. This product gives me pimples...the hard dark kind that never get ripe enough to pop and leaves scars. I hardly get pimples too.

Treatments (Eye) -Nivea - Q10 Plus Wrinkle Control Eye Cream
rated 3 of 5
shopaholicbeb 9/17/2008 4:45:00 PM

Just your average basic eye cream. Texture is nice, not runny nor thick. Blends into skin nicely as well. Being in the early 20's and not having wrinkles, can't tell if it does reduce wrinkles or not but seems to hydrate eye area quite well :) Nothing about it wows me however.
