BB Cream -The Body Shop - Moisture White Shiso BB Cream SPF 25 PA+++

I was really surprised at how much I love this product. On my hand it looked a bit shiny and grey-toned somehow, but once it's on my face it gives me a beautiful glow and suits my skintone perfectly (I haven't used mac foundation in quite a while, but I think I'm around NC20 for reference, quite pale - although I tan in the sun with neutral undertones). It's thick and creamy, quite like a foundation really, and it lasts all day without a primer, making it a good base for blush and bronzer. Be careful when applying powder cheek colour if you haven't used a setting powder though, as I find it makes my face a little sticky/tacky. In this respect it may not be the best for oily skin (although this seems silly as it seems to be designed for asian skin which is typically oily), but for normal skin like mine it's fine with or without powder.

Lipstick -NYX - Fig
rated 5 of 5

Another of my favourites. Similar to Tea Rose but much brighter. I love how bright this pink is but it's not too dark and very wearable. Very opaque, creamy and with decent lasting power. Just gorgeous!

Lipstick -NYX - Round Lipstick - Tea Rose

This is quite possibly my favourite lipstick ever. It's quite similar to fig, but not so bright. It's a gorgeous dusty pink which is pretty but definitely wearable for work and everyday. Very pigmented, very creamy, pretty long lasting. The smell is a little off putting but I'm used to it now and to be perfectly honest I don't care! This lipstick looks absolutely amazing and suits me perfectly. Will definitely buy a backup in my next cherryculture order. (I've never bought a backup in my life!!)

Blush -NYX - Rouge Cream Blush - Glow
rated 5 of 5
shonascully 5/19/2010 10:32:00 PM

This is my first NYX cream blush, and this product is absolutely amazing. I can't believe how pigmented it is, and it lasts longer than any other blush I've used.... I'm a bit overwhelmed that I don't even know what to say about it. The colour is gorgeous, but not as natural as I was expecting. On my cheeks it's a very bright pink and gives a beautiful flushed glow. I ca't wait to try out the other colours, they're so cheap I could buy ten and it would only cost what one nars blush is in australia.... Plus it will last me forvever. I highly doubt I'll ever have to repurchase (unless it gets old/off or I lose it), but if i needed to I would in a heartbeat. I'm so thilled I found this! :)

Lipstick -NYX - Paris

Ugh, I did not like this at all. I was so excited to find it in the mail and was looking forwadr to it for ages cause I headr it was a good dupe for NARS Roman Holiday.... Let me just say it's nothing like it. Personally I don't think the above pic gives a good representation of it either. I'll take my own and upload it. It's a good lipstick, as are all the nyx l/s I've tried, but the colour is just not right on me. It looks way too lavender. I guess I'm just so disappointed cause it was nothing like I expected

Makeup Brushes -Sigma - E30 Pencil brush (was SS219 )
rated 4 of 5
shonascully 4/9/2010 1:50:00 AM

I agree with the reviewer below me, this is nothing like the mac 219, it's more like a mini 217. It doesn't have the sharp point that the mac 219 has, you definitely can't use it as a pencil brush. It's more like a mini blending brush. I find it's very useful for applying colour into the crease because it's a really nice size and it's a bit more precise. I was expecting it to be more like a 219 so I was a little disappointed with it at first, but it's very useful and a great little brush to have. I think I'd repurchse, I find that I use it pretty often and it's good quality, also I don't think I've ever seen a brush like this before!

Polishes -Unlisted Brand - Ulta3

I can't believe there aren't more reviews for these!! I rushed off to buy them after reading amazing reviews in blogs and I'm so pleased I did. There's an alright selection of colours to choose from; more the most part they go on nice and smooth; they don't chip easily; and best of all they're only $2.50 AUD! I can't wait to go back for more. I almost feel ripped off paying $20 for OPI polishes....

Palettes -Stila - Mineral Matte Eyeshadow Palette
rated 5 of 5
shonascully 2/27/2010 8:17:00 AM

Wow, I can't believe the terrible reviews for this! I absolutely love it. The only colour i'm not too keen on is Champara. Kamet looks pretty boring and blah in the pan, but it is amazing on. It's great as a base, or even in the crease when I want a really simple, neutral look for work. The lasting power on all of them is absolutely amazing

Eye Shadow -Stila - Stila matte eye shadow

I don't think those early reviews are very helpful as the product has been changed since then. This review and the other recent ones have really been for the mineral matte eyeshadows. Stila's mineral mattes are probably the best I've ever tried. They are simply amazing. The colours are nice, pigmentation's good, texture is alright (not super buttery like some of their others, but that's not necessarily a bad thing), and best of all, the staying power is ridiculously good. As I mentioned in my review of Sajama, I've been earing this eyeshdow currently for 36 hours straight (not intentionally) and it still looks good. I highly doubt they'll disappoint you.

Eye Shadow -Stila - Sajama

I absolutely LOVE this e/s. In fact it is probably my favourite. All my stila mineral mattes are amazing and I'm so pleased with them. Sajama is a gorgeous bluey grey which is amaznig in the crease. I love the way you can pack the colour on for more intensity or just use a little during the day for a more minimalist look. The texture is good, not super silky or anything, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Pigmentation is also good. As for the staying power, I have never tried anything this good. I always use it with TFSI, but that's the same for any e/s I use. Normally I take my makeup off every night. Even if I don't, generally by the morning it's worn off anyway. I put this on yesterday morning at about 6:30am, as expected it still looked almost perfect when I went to bed at around midnight, and when I woke up this morning I was in such a rush that I didn't have time to apply any makeup and totally forgot I hadn't washed it off the night before either. I looked in the mirror when I was on the bus this morning and I was shocked that my eyeshadow still looked amazing, despite having rubbed my eyes numerous times throught the night and morning. It's 6pm now, so I've actually ween wearing the same eyeshadow for 36 hours (I know... I should really remove it!) and even now it still looks good. I'm just in awe.

Guys don't confuse the auto pilot primer to the NP Set primer.

I can't belive how pigmented these shadows are. I literally gasped when I first swatched them. The green is gorgeous too. Much nicer than MAC humid IMO. I'm amazed at the quality - would definitely repurchase.

Lipstick -Chanel - Rouge Allure - Passion
rated 3 of 5
shonascully 1/6/2010 10:32:00 PM

This is a very pretty red, but just a bit OTT for me. It would be great for if you're after bold colours though. Also, it's not very longlasting. Previous reviewers have mentioned this and I completely agree. That aside, it is nice and moisturizing, and a beautiful colour, but not really my cup of tea. If you want something a little more understated, try enthusiast (I think it's #64).

Makeup Brushes -Bloom - eyeshadow brush 1
rated 5 of 5
shonascully 12/30/2009 8:39:00 AM

I loved this brush. It was so soft, fluffy and deposited colour really well. Unfortunately I've lost it, but I haven't purchased it again because I've been trying out different brands and increasing my collection, but there is a good chance that I will end up buying it again. It's nice and cheap, and just as good quality as MAC imo. I would definitely recommend it.
