Blush -NARS - Luster

I really like this blush! This is my second NARS blush after Orgasm, and I love it as much as Orgasm! I'm NC25-30, and on me, this blush has a natural golden shimmer that really blends in with my skin tone. Beware of applying this with too heavy a hand, because I did that the first time I tried it, and I looked like a monkey's bottom. I think Luster gives a classier, glowy natural look, while Orgasm gives a young, peachy freshness!

Masks -Kiehls - Rare Earth Facial Cleansing Masque

This mask was terrible for me. I must be sensitive to some ingredient inside, because about 2 minutes after I put it on, my face turned red and hot and I had to wash it off immediately. I tried it again a few weeks later, same effect. I still have practically the whole tub left :(

Masks -Origins - Clear Improvement

I am on my second tube (actually I lost the first tube halfway through and repurchased). This is a pretty good mask, and seems to draw out impurities pretty well (I can see white dots on the black mask after it dries up). But I realised that if I use it on its own, I will tend to breakout a few days later. My theory is that it draws the impurities up, but the drawing power of the charcoal isn't strong enough to pull the impurities all the way out. I now use Kose's Seikisho Mask White after it (this mask works like a whole-face Biore pore pack). Alone, I feel like the Kose mask simply pulls out all my facial hair, but used after the Clear Improvement mask, I feel like it helps to get rid of the impurities that the Clear Improvement mask helped to draw closer to the surface. This combo seems to work pretty well - no breakouts!

Cleansers -Eucerin - Impure Skin Sebum Reducing Cleansing Gel

This has been renamed to DermoPURIFYER Cleanser, and I've almost gone through a second bottle of this. If you know me, this is pretty amazing, because I'm a humongous product junkie and I've tried all sorts of cleansers, from Neutrogena to Cetaphil to Dermalogica and I've never finished any of them. I'm always still tempted to try new products, but so far, I've always come back to this one. I find this cleanser just right for me, doesn't dry out my skin, and doesn't leave a filmy layer that makes my face feel unclean. It contains some salicylic acid, which I like to think helps to keep breakouts at bay, and it's pretty reasonably priced (esp when you compare them to Avene or La Roche Posay) products. FYI, I have sensitive normal/combination skin, mild case of rosacea.

Foundations -Revlon - ColorStay Makeup with SoftFlex SPF 6 for Combination/Oily Skin
sherrywerry 8/24/2009 6:09:00 AM
I have normal/combination skin and am MAC NC25. I have this in Warm Golden and it gives pretty good coverage, oil control and doesn't break me out. But this sort of slides off my face towards the end of the day (still some colour, but not as much as early in the day), so I alternate this with MAC's StudioFix Liquid Foundation for longer lasting coverage. MAC's Studiofix has better coverage than Revlon's Colorstay, but breaks me out if I use it too often or too long. So I use Colorstay for normal days, and StudioFix for special occasions.

Blush -NARS - Orgasm Blush

It's been said over and over again, but this blush is really good! It looks natural on my NC25 skin (though sometimes I get a bit overexcited and put too much on), and I sometimes pair it with NARS Laguna bronzer for a sunkissed look. This blush is very good quality and I prefer it way over Jane's Blushing Petal.
