This little brush is amazing. This is the best thing I've done for eyeliner, ever. It smokes out your liner soooo beautifully. You can make a subtle smoke or you can totally smoke that baby out if you want. It's small enough you can control it's every move and you can really get into the lash line and lower lash line which is important for my tiny lids. This brush is awesome, it's a bit scratchy but if you use it gently you barely notice. I'll never be without this brush
Makeup Brushes -MAC - 224 Tapered Blending (Windshield Wiper) Brush

This is another winning brush from MAC. I was recommended this brush over the 217 for blending by one of their SAs..so glad I listened to her and didn't just get the 217 like I planned. This blends like a dreammmm! Any color, even if it's difficult to work with can be easily blended out with this baby. I have rather small lid space but bigger eyes and this brush is easy to handle around my small lid area. It never strays to places I don't want it to and it's very easy to control. I like that the bristles are natural and I've never had any shedding. It can be a bit scratchy, but I'll definitely take that with how great this blends. Awesome awesome brush, makes such a difference in my eye makeup. Everything is just blended so subtly and never gets muddy looking or too toned down.
I am in love with this brush. I never thought good brushes would make a difference, well let me tell you how much of a difference it makes. I use Tarte TM and used to use my fingers... I didn't like how sheer the application was and I didn't like how it sat in my pores sometimes after hot days. So... I traveled to my nearest MAC store and bought this baby. It makes the biggest difference! It gives such a light, airy, airbushed look that is just perfect. I look at my face at the end of a work day and just see smooth pore less skin, no more makeup in my pores and everything is totally even. I have pretty good skin to begin with.. just the occasional TTOTM blemish and some redness in certain areas and now I barely have to use concealer because of this brush. It did shed for the first 5 days or so but it's not a huge deal now since it stopped. (I absolutely HATE shedding) I really like how soft the white bristles are and the ease of the brush handle itself in your hand. It's so convenient too that you can use it for liquid, powder AND blush. I just have nice things to say about this beauty so I'll stop babbling now.
Lips -Revlon - Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain- Cherish
sheridingdong 7/2/2012 5:32:00 PM
I really love these balms. I have in Sweetheart and Cherish so far and Cherish is my favorite. It does go on a very blue based pink but it warms up quite a bit on me and turns this perfect warm pink color. My lips are pretty pigmented so I wait until after I set my makeup with powder and then apply this since the powder dies the color of my lips down a lot. The lasting power in these are pretty good I can eat and drink with it on and not look ridiculous afterwards. When it wears off it doesn't always go off evenly..sometimes I'll get that lipliner look but it's easily covered with another application. The formula is smooth but not as smooth as you'd expect. It's not waxy at all which is a huge plus for me.. the waxy feel just grosses me out. i love that the packaging is true to the color inside so you don't go home and end up with a surprise color. The color itself does last pretty long.. I'd say a couple hours usually. I'm definitely getting more colors. Great for Summer!
Okay, I loved this mascara. I have a decent amount of lashes and I guess they're on the short side..not stubby just short. This mascara's awesome! It fattens the hellll out of my lashes and actually gives them a great amount of length as well. I was pretty surprised being that I tried the other one... lash matrix I think and it was terrible.. dry, flaky. But this is a pretty deep black color.. formula is in between wet and dry which is great for me because it's easily buildable (2 coats). It doesn't clump on me or flake which is awesome cause I do wear contacts. BUT my only thing is the packaging sucks! within two days of using my top wouldn't screw on all the way which is really really annoying. Thankfully, the mascara didn't dry on me but this is still a bother.
I loved this. It really is opaque in just one coat which I never ever find with most glitter polishes. I like that it's fine glitter and not a chunky mess. The color is beautiful too.. it seems like you have a black polish base with tons of bright pink/purple glitter. It's awesome. My only thing is that it doesn't shine! I even used Good to Go top coat and it just doesn't have a shiny finish which kinda sucks cause I do love super shiny nails. Oh well, it's worth it.
Skincare - Body -Alba Botanica - Moisturizing Cream Shave
sheridingdong 2/21/2012 5:58:00 PM
I love this soooooooooo much I can't believe it. I was using the Kiss my Face cream shave but this is way better, and way cheaper. It's super moisturizing and my legs are pretty sensitive: visible pores, irritation, razor burn, etc. But not with this. The smell is okay.. not really coconut lime but I still like it. It goes on so smooth BUT is invisible unfortunately. That is the only problem with this, other than that it's perfect. Zero irritation, zero nicks, and my legs are super soft and smooth. Sometimes I got a really tight and dry feeling from Kiss my Face. Not with this stuff. HG
For reference, I have combo skin, and I'm a light olive complexion. Luckily I only have to wear a TM at the moment, so I never have a mass amount of makeup on my face. I really wanted to like this. I used it for a couple nights it seemed very gentle and around day two or 3 I noticed a breakout :( I usually have very good skin and only get a blemish or two around TTOTM so I know it was from the cleanser. Back to St. Ives I go.
Lip Treatments -Burt's Bees - Replenishing Lip Balm with Pomegranate Oil
sheridingdong 1/25/2012 1:42:00 PM
I didn't like this stuff. It had a very awkward heavy oily feeling on my lips. I didn't like the smell or taste at all. I didn't mind it leaving my lips a little tinted but I wish it was more moisturizing. I found it did nothing for my lips except making them feel weird.
This stuff is awesome! I use this for my brows though. I use a brow powder and I am blessed with having full brows so they can look a little untamed sometimes and this stuff does the job of holding them in place! I've never had any whitish residue, crunchiness, or irritation from this. This is an HG brow setter for me. I also use this if my mascara clumps my lashes together... this will separate them and also take a lot of the previous product off so i can do a little touch up without my lashes being clump city.
I love this stick! The color payoff is awesome, it lasts a long time, it's not too sticky, and it does leave a tint on my lips when it comes off. I wear this one a lot even though I've never ventured into dark lip colors before. Because of this I have a new love for a darker mouth. I don't like the packaging however, I love the tube and everything but you can't twist it down at all which is stupid! Especially being that this is what like 15$?? So that's pretty much my only gripe. I can't wait to try other colors!
I really liked this! The color variety is great, great texture, great coverage, and blends very easily. I just really hate that it's in a little pot. I hate dipping my fingers in there and I don't like the brush for my eye area. The brush is awesome for blemish or redness coverage though! But for my eyes it just doesn't blend it enough so I resort to my fingers. Unfortunately right after I bought this I left it in my car.. in Florida :( so the formula got all whacked and dried up quite a bit. Evan after that I am satisfied and it works extremely well. I noticed my eye area has been rather dry.. not sure if it's from me rubbing them, it being cold, or this stuff so don't let that throw you off from getting this. I will repurchase and hopefully the heat doesn't kill it this time!!
Lipstick -Revlon - Colorburst Lip Butter - 080 Strawberry Shortcake
sheridingdong 1/19/2012 2:53:00 PM
I bought this along with Cupcake and I'm not overly excited or impressed. I mean it's okay, the color is alright, it lasts a decent amount of time, it's not drying. But this is basically a lipstick. Call it what you want but it might as well be a lipstick. I don't like that it transfers so easily. I can really only wear it to work cause if I wear this around my boyfriend he doesn't like the fact that if he goes near me he turns pink. I can't say I blame him. It's an average buy I guess. Cupcake is horrible though.. maybe it'll look better in the summer when I'm not so pale. :/ ehhhh
So I never write reviews for nail polish but this one is bad. The formula is so dang thick that it's impossible to do thin coats for opaqueness. It dries awful, bubbles, takes forever. The color is nice but I just can't sit and wait for two hours for my nails to dry. Sorry OPI but this one was a waste.
I only use this to take off my eye-makeup. I was using regular baby oil but I found I was wasting a lot of product and it wasn't all that effective. The gel is awesome! I take a little drop and rub it into my lashes and eye and swipe with a tissue and everything comes off! Even waterproof makeup. This will always be in my bathroom. It also never leaves me with any greasiness or irritation. (I do wash my face after using it though)
