Lipstick -New York Color - Ultra Moist Lipwear - Violet Shine

I bought this product while I was browsing through the cosmetics aisle at a Kmart a week ago. I'm not really into lipsticks, but when I saw how cheap these NYC lipsticks are, I decided to give it a shot. I chose the color Violet Shine randomly, but I really like it! The color isn't as pigmented, which has already been mentioned by other reviewers, but I really like how the pinkish/purple color brightens up my boring plain lips. And it's great for everyday color, that's for sure. I like the simple subtle color and shine, and I love how it's not glittery! I HATE glittery-type lip wear. It's also not sticky at all, which I've found other lipsticks to be. My only complaint about this product is that I feel like it has weak staying-power! I feel like it starts to fade fairly quickly, so I have to re-apply more often than I'd like, but overall I still really like this product and would buy it again! I'm curious to try other colors.....

I only used this 3 times before I had to throw it out. Like other reviewers have said, IT BURNS!! Even the very first time I used it it stung pretty bad. It didn't necessarily burn my eyes like other people have said, but my skin! Oh man, my skin was red and itchy after each time I used it. I didn't use it enough times to really judge if it would be a product to brake me out or not, but man, this did nothing but irritate my skin after each use. And I don't feel like I have very sensitive skin, either. Would not recommend.

Blush -Mary Kay - Shy Blush

I really enjoy this blush. I've never been much of a blush-wearing girl, because I have naturally red cheeks (thank you, Dad) and I feel like adding any more color to my already-colored cheeks just makes them look funny. But, I have a co-worker that also sells Mary Kay, so she brought me in a bunch of samples of all different products and I tried this and I really loved it! It's a pinkish-goldish color and I love how shimmery it is. It's a pretty color overall, and it makes my somewhat dull skin look a little prettier. I've also used it as a quick eyeshadow to brighten up my eyes. I would buy it again.

Mascara -Mary Kay - Ultimate Mascara

Not my favorite. It was just okay for me. I really didn't care for the wand too much. The mascara seemed a little clumpy. Not the best mascara I've ever tried. I will say, though, that last night I went to a Mary Kay Summer product preview, and I tried their new Lash Love mascara, and I really liked that one! I'm excited for it to come out.

Liquid -Merle Norman - Luxiva Aqua Balance

I don't have nearly as many raving things to say about this foundation as several of the other reviwers here did!! I must say, I was super excited to try this out, but it did NOT float my boat!! I felt like it was so sheer, I could hardly even tell I had anything on! It didn't cover much at all, in my opinion. I felt like it didn't last long at all, but then again, how could I tell....I couldn't even see it on my face to begin with! I felt like my face was pretty shiny soon after putting it on. And it's true, my face is oily, but I thought that was what the purpose of this make-up was.... was to add moisture to the dry part of my face, and mattify the oily parts. Anyway, I only used it about 5 times before giving up. I plan on returning it. The one thing I really did like about it, though, was the color match! I really have a hard time matching foundation to my face, but I really felt like this was a great color for me. I have light neutral-toned skin, and color L16 was a great match.

Highlighters -Hard Candy - Glow All The Way in Doll Face

My favorite way to wear this is by mixing it into my moisturizer and putting it on after I wash my face, and before my foundation. Depending on the level of shimmery "glow" you want, you may want to add quite a bit to your moisturizer, but I add only a little bit to it, then put it on my face. When I put foundation over it, my face does seem to look a little brighter afterward. I wouldn't say there are dramatic differences or anything, but I still do like this product and would buy it again. You can use this product many different ways, too, that's just the way that I prefer it!

I like this and would buy it again! I'm not gonna lie though, I hate the thick handle that you hold in your hand! I feel like it's so awkward! But, I like the product overall so I guess I just gotta deal with that!! I've honestly liked all the Covergirl mascaras that I've tried. I used to use the Cover Girl Professional mascara for the longest time!! I've also tried the Cover Girl Exact Eyelights mascara (for hazel eyes) and have liked that, too.

Eye Primer -L'Oreal - De-crease Eyeshadow base

I would NOT buy this again. In fact, I threw it away after using it about 4 times. I feel like this did nothing to prevent creasing and to help eyeshadow stay on my oily eyelids. I've only tried 3 different eyeshadow primers, but Urban Decay Primer Potion worked REALLY well for me, even with my ridiculous oily eyelids!! I would definitely recommend that over this product!!

Eye Primer -Urban Decay - Eyeshadow Primer Potion - Original (UDPP)

Okay, I can't say I have a lot of experience with eye shadow primers, but I LOVE this!! After reading all the positive reviews about it, I went out yesterday and bought it and tried it and I was seriously SHOCKED that my eyeshadow was still creaseless and very well-maintained on my eyelids after about 8 and a half hours! I feel like I have the oiliest eyelids on the planet (and I'm probably not the only one who feels like that!) and I really didn't have expectations that it would work. I had high hopes, but not really high expectations!! I made sure to keep my Sephora receipt so I could go back and return it. But honestly, it worked REALLY WELL, and at least as of right now, I'm definitely going to keep it! I've only tried two other eyeshadow primers (L'oreal De-Crease eyeshadow base, and one other one that I can't remember) and this is the one that actually worked for me and I'm sticking to it! The L'oreal one was horrible and did NOTHING for me! I swear, if anything, I felt like it made my eyeshadow last less time that it already does on it's own! I WOULD recommend this, and I will buy it again!!

Liquid -Mary Kay - Time Wise Matte Wear Liquid Foundation

I really like this foundation. The color match is great (I have a hard time finding a color match! I have a light neutral skin color, and you'd think that'd be easy to match, but I struggle!!), the coverage is great, the feel is great, and the price is decent. The only thing I don't like about this is I feel like it doesn't have real great staying power. It's definitely better than some of them I've tried, but I feel like it could be better. Overall I really like this and I've already bought a second tube, so that says something! This last year or so I've been on a serious foundation hunt, and during that time I've only ever bought one bottle of any foundation I've tried (and some of them I hardly even used before I threw them out), and this is the only one I've liked enough to buy a second tube. I wouldn't quite say this is my absolute dream foundation, but it's the best one I've found so far!! I honestly like it! I've also tried the Luminous Time-wise foundation as well, and while I honestly like the look of that one on my face better than this one, I just can't wear it because I have too oily of skin!! It would look great for about 2 hours, but then it just melts off my face!! I really kind of wish I had drier skin because I think the luminous foundation made my face look really pretty! :(

Lip Treatments -Burt's Bees - Tinted Lip Balm

I just bought this today and am already loving it!! I definitely am not a lipstick girl, although sometimes I really wish my lips weren't quite so boring! I hate the way lipstick and lip gloss dries out my lips, so I usually just stick to plain ol' vaseline. But I want moisturization AND also some actual color! After reading the dozens of positive reviews for this stuff I decided to give it a shot and I'm pretty impressed! It's definitely not a deep color like lipsticks are, but it definitely shows up on my lips. I bought it in the color hibiscus, and it's really pretty for a pinkish lip balm, but I'm really interested in trying something reddish (probably "rose"). I'll probably try that next time but for now I'm loving this hibiscus!! It's not the longest-lasting stuff ever, but just keep it with you and reapply whenever you want. It's great for girls like me that don't like lipstick but still want to have something other than their normal blah lip color!! I'd buy this again!!
