Conditioner -Pantene - Beautiful Lengths

I use this paired with the Beautiful Lengths shampoo, and I'm very impressed. This leaves my colored hair feeling moisturized and smooth without heaviness. I follow with a few drops of Avocado Oil post-shower and that's it. A great budget buy.

Shampoo -Pantene - Beautiful Lengths

Frankly, this is as good as any high end shampoo I've used! It's cheap as chips and leaves my colored hair feeling clean, light, and smooth. I hate styling or blowdrying my hair and usually let it air dry, and the Beautiful Lengths range keeps it from getting frizzy. I doubt it is beneficial to growth, but who cares, that's what I take my vitamins and minerals for! Excellent product!

Lotions/ Creams -100 Percent Pure - Organic Vanilla Bean Nourishing Body Cream
rated 3 of 5

I have a very odd love-hate relationship with this particular cream. It's creamy and fast-absorbing, yet dense enough to feel like it's moisturizing. The smell is so sickeningly sweet though that I don't think I could ever wear it out of the house. It smells EXACTLY like a Jessica Simpson Dessert Butterscotch body shimmer lotion I had in high school - which was disgusting, but somehow addictive.

Cleansers -Neutrogena - Oil-Free Acne Wash
rated 4 of 5

I'll preface this by saying that I think this is a GREAT product given my environment and the fact that I'm exasperated trying to find something that keeps my uncharacteristic flare-ups at bay. I'm in my early twenties and have had a heck of a year dealing with mild acne that I've never experienced, ever. I have very fair, sensitive, skin that is never oily, but not dry either. - I spend a lot on skincare, not because it's necessary, but because I enjoy spa-grade products - so this, to me, is lower than dirt cheap. That said, there are SO many quality drugstore and pharmacy products that are equally - if not more - effective. - Currently, the climate where I live is disgustingly humid and leaves you altogether grungy by mid-day. I think this cleanser is effective at refreshing the skin and leaving it squeaky clean. - Does not remove all makeup. However, I say this with an asterisk as I only use a tinted sunscreen (Skinceuticals) - which it does not entirely remove. - It's not a miracle worker, but using this as my daily wash in the summer and early fall keeps my skin relatively in check. Every few days, in the evening, I use the Mario Badescu Glycolic Foaming Cleanser for a super deep clean (amazeballs.). - My skin seems to like medicated washes more than medicated creams and moisturizers, so I'll certainly stick with it.

Skincare - Body -Fresh - Milk-Milk bar soap

I find myself yearning for the smell of this bar of soap. It's gorgeously scented - fresh and delicately clean. It is perhaps my favourite bath and body product I use.

This product smells intoxicatingly good - quite herbally and fresh. It is very hydrating and leaves my hands soft and well moisturized throughout the day. Would highly recommend!

Lotions/ Creams -Unlisted Brand - LoLLIA _ Imagine Handcreme
rated 3 of 5
shannycgirl 7/5/2010 11:47:00 AM

I was eager to get my hands (no pun intended) on LoLLIA hancreme purely because of the appealing packaging and interesting frangrances. The product goes on quite slick, but sinks into the skin very quickly. It's moisturizing, yes, but not the best handcream I have tried. Furthermore, the Imagine fragrance is quite nauseating; reminds me of detergent and Bounce sheets. Will not repurchase.

Lotions/ Creams -Fresh - Rice Dry Oil
rated 5 of 5
shannycgirl 6/29/2010 10:01:00 AM

This product is brilliant. The smell is of succulent peaches with a hint of warm sugar. Thebottle is beautifully presented, however, the mouth of the bottle is cause for concern as it is quite difficult to avoid over-pouring. The oil absorbs so well and leaves my skin very moisturized and dewy for days. I was previously using Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse (which is also wonderful), but Fresh Rice Oil is by far a more invigorating and coveted product for me.

Lip Treatments -Fresh - Sugar Plum Lip Treatment SPF 15
rated 4 of 5
shannycgirl 6/29/2010 9:51:00 AM

This is a nice, sheer dose of color. I am an eternal fan of the original Sugar Lip Treatment, but loathed the Rose version. It was much too soft and buttery for my liking. The Plum version is more similar to the original version as it is more solid and retains the same delectable smell. The color is nice, nothing special, but nice. The added benefit of SPF is always a welcome perk. Will continue to buy both this and the original on and off. I would liken the color to a sheer pomegranate on my lips, not plum.

Lip Treatments -Jurlique - Lip Care Balm
rated 5 of 5
shannycgirl 6/29/2010 9:47:00 AM

I'm in the minority here, but I love this balm. It has a very unique consistency, in that it appears much thicker than it is in reality. It's quite slick upon application, but sinks into the lips in a nanosecond. It leaves my lips feeling quite puffy and plump, which is a welcome perk. Don't be detered by the relatively high price, there is ample amount of balm in the package (and only a small amount is needed with each application). I am a lip balm junkie, but this has instantly reached HG status for me.

Lip Treatments -Labello - Honey and Milk
rated 5 of 5
shannycgirl 5/10/2010 10:20:00 AM

I am a lip balm fiend. I own so many it's impossible to keep track of them. I normally gravitate towards more expensive balms simply because I feel they deliver better quality, even with the price tag. My favourites are the Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment and Biotherm Nutrisource Levres, both of which leave your lips silky smooth. Recently I had a bad irritation on my lips from a lip balm I'd tried (can't figure which one it was as I use 3-4 different ones on any given day). Nothing I tried would restore the moisture and color to my lips - from Blistex Lip Medex to any of my HG balms. I picked this up as a last resort, mostly because I love anything honey scented. This does not smell like honey in any way, but it does have an extremely pleasant and comforting scent. It glides on so smoothly and hydrates my lips better than anything I've tried. As it does not have SPF I will continue to use my Fresh Sugar when outdoors, but I will definitely re-purchase this when I've finished my current tube. For such an inexpensive product, I would definitely recommend - the quality is incomparable for the price!

Lip Treatments -Biotherm - Nutrisource Levres

I am only ever compelled to right a review for products which instantly become HG status for me or those which are so atrocious the world deserves to be informed. This little balm is genius. It's like cashmere on your lips; so luxurious and smooth. The taste is nice and minimal. The smell is also quite nice. I liken it somewhat to a creamy version of the Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment, without the lemon-y smell. Lasts forever, and since there is no flavour/tastes you aren't compelled to lick it off. The jar is top quality; and since I have no problem with using my finger for application, I think it's just dandy.

Blush -Bourjois - rose d'or
rated 5 of 5
shannycgirl 12/15/2009 10:12:00 AM

This shade of blush is gorgeous! I am a massive fan of the Bourjois brand, mostly of their powders. The smell of their products are so lady-like and rosey I can't understand why some people are turned off by it. The size of this blush is probably the only real gripe I have with the product. It's very small and like others have said, it's difficult for a normal-sized brush to absorb any of the product. Also, the brush that comes with it is absolute rubbish. Can't comment on the quality of the casing, however, I've had Bourjois powders before and have not had any problems with the product drying out. Drop it on the floor, however, and your pwder will be smashed into a trillion bits. The shade is very pink with a lovely dusting of gold shimmer. I'm extremely pale, but the shimmer doesn't actually overpower me at all. It gives me a healthy, "glowy" look when applied to the apple of my cheeks. If you're in the market for a girlish, true pink I highly recommend.

Sunscreen -La Roche Posay - Anthelios Face and Body High Protection UVA-UVB Creme SPF 45
rated 5 of 5
shannycgirl 12/14/2009 8:51:00 AM

I bought this as I am incredibly pale, something I am quite fond of and wish to preserve. I had read elsewhere that this particular cream gave a nice dewy finish when absorbed into the skin, so I figured I would kill two birds with one stone and use this as both a sun protectant and luminzing cream. It definitely is an A+ product! After applying I dust with Bourjois Mineral Radiance in 01 Rose Claire, and it looks healthy and natural. Also, works well when blended with foundation prior to application (goes on very evenly). I would definitely recommend!

Lip Treatments -Christian Dior - Addict Lip Glow Color Reviver Balm
rated 5 of 5
shannycgirl 12/10/2009 9:02:00 AM

Amazzzzzing. period. Sure it's an expensive lip treatment, but would you expect anything else from Dior? Truth of the matter is, there are only a small minority of Dior products that aren't worth the price tag, and this is definitely not one of them. It keeps my lips incredibly moisturized for at least a couple of hours, which is a long time for me. The hint of bubblegum pink color it adds to my lips is perfect alone or as a base under lipgloss or lipstick. It kind of reminds me of the color Benefit's PosieTint shows up on my extremely pale, cool-toned skin. Anyway, this product is really great and I highly recommend it to any lip balm junkie... it's a must for your collection!
