Toners -Peter Thomas Roth - Glycolic Acid Clarifying Tonic

I used this toner with the PTR salicylic acid cleanser, and was very pleased with the results. During this time I had nearly flawless skin. My esthetician felt like it was drying me out too much, but my breakouts were close to never and my pores (finally!) seemed small. When the bottle was empty, which took several months since it's so large--like all PTR products, I didn't repurchase because Sephora no longer carried it. Ordering online every time seemed like a chore....switched to the DDR AHA toner....not good results. Would definitely repurchase if I found this locally.

Cleansers -Neutrogena - Deep Clean Sport On-the-Go Cleansing Wipes

I recently went on a lengthy backpacking trip and, having a mild breakout problem, didn't want things to get too out of control while in the wilderness. Not only was I pleased with the wipes sans mirror, I found my face clear and clean upon returning home. Could be the better environment, diet, and activity while on the trip, but I've continued to use them with great results. I am switching to the bottle to not waste so much packaging.

Cleansers -Peter Thomas Roth - Beta Hydroxy Acid 2% Acne Wash
shannongentene 1/13/2010 10:43:00 PM
Purchased this product two months ago, as my esthetician said my skin had gotten rather oily. I've been very happy with the results--less oil production, fewer breakouts, fewer blackheads--using this product with the PTR blemish buffing beads and glycolic acid toner. I've had some difficulty balancing 2-3 washes a day. I'm a compulsive bather and feel the need for intermittent washes, but this product is too harsh to use more than twice. Smell is very clinical and gel lathers quite a bit. Overall, I'm happy with this product and plan to repurchase if I ever get through the bottle--it's huge. Probably a 4 month supply.

Treatments -MD Skincare by Dr. Dennis Gross - All-Over Blemish Solution

I had run out of my Kate Somerville and decided to try out the MD Skincare line since it doesn't need to be special ordered. It has taken me months to feel like my skin is back to its orginal condition. This product gradually made my skin break out. Eventually, areas that weren't problem areas on my face became problem areas. I gave it several weeks, as the comments I had read made it sound like a gets worse before it gets better product. I would never recommend this product to anyone and will never give this a second chance. I've gone back to Kate Somerville.
