Self Tanners -Nivea - Sun Kissed Radiant Skin Fair to Medium

if this actually worked, i might forgive the smell. i'm NC25; i only use this on my legs b/c the rest of me somehow manages to get color in the sun. due to the smell i can only stand to apply this 2-3 times a week, always after exfoliating/shaving. haven't noticed any color change, which i guess is better than orange/streaky, but not worth paying $ for. it's also not especially moisturizing, but i have dry skin + live in the desert. the previous reviewer mentioned covering the smell w/another scented moisturizer, but i typically don't like scented moisturizers, so that doesn't work for me. the smell starts off chemically fruity and ends up just plain chemically. no one else has commented on it (not that ppl sniff my legs that often), but it's enough to distract me at work.
this seems slightly darker than how i picture a nice camel coat, but it's a slightly pink lt beige creme. i'm NC 20/25; when i tried this in the winter it looked awful on my hands, corpse-like, but i tried it again in may after i'd gotten some sun, and i like it so much more. streaky gloppy application, but maybe i just don't know how to apply creams.
nice for refreshing my hairstyle (tousled, styled messy), but i don't like how it makes my hair sticky.

ok let me kill this lemming for you right now: this adds zero texture to my short hair. maybe it'd be better for long hair? but i might as well be spraying scented water on my hair. also, salt is pretty far down on its ingredients list, so i don't know what's supposed to be making the texture. pros: light scent, doesn't last; spray bottle sprays a wide, fine mist- so wide + fine that i can't tell how much of it is landing on my head and how much on my bathroom tiles. BB salt spray is still the gold standard for me.
not crazy about this. i have short spiky hair + am hunting for a great wax. pros: medium hold doesn't make hair look stiff cons: 1. smell is kind of floral chemical, but not overpowering; 2. the dispenser is so weird! you push up from the bottom of the bottle, then press a button on top that dispenses the paste. the first few times i ended up w/way too much product on my fingers b/c i pressed too hard or pushed the bottom too far up or something; 3. takes a while to emulsify on fingers + can leave white streaks in your hair, which go away when worked in, but that means more minutes spent on hair.
Cleansers -L'Occitane - Extra-Gentle Cleansing Water

this doesn't do anything for me. it's definitely not a m/u remover; doesn't take off my eye m/u but smears it around my skin nicely. i also don't notice any toning; it might as well just be tap water. i don't notice a scent, which is good for me.
on the hunt for a correcting concealer. at this point (i'm 35) i get zits 1-2x a month, but when i do, they're giant red pulsing monsters. this one does not shrink anything magically for me, but it seems to match my skin well enough, **edit: i've decided this is a shade light on my skin, so i just try to apply a super light layer + blend in. wish there was a shade between light + medium.** NC25 olive asian skin (can't believe they only make 2 shades!). lasts a few hours and slides off in sweat. i'll use it up because it's an ok concealer and i can pretend it's helping my acne, but the search continues.
this does nothing for my nails. i started using it as a base coat after my nails started flaking, but it does not make a difference (maybe it keeps it from getting worse?). i don't notice a yellow tint, though it is yellow in the bottle.
i've always had dry skin, but i've been able to manage without thick, heavy creams. then i moved to the desert, and i was having to reapply throughout the day, all over my body, which is annoying. i was hoping to find a cream that would keep me moisturized for 24 hours, but this one does not do that; i still have to reapply twice a day. i like that it is fragrance-free, but it is very greasy and sticky, which i'd be fine with if i didn't have to reapply it.
Lotions/ Creams -Philosophy - Amazing Grace Firming Body Emulsion

i don't believe this has any firming properties, but the scent actually lasts longer on my skin than the edp.
Lip Treatments -Fresh - Sugar Rose Lip Treatment SPF 15

Whoever is in charge for marketing for Fresh should get a gold medal. I find their products consistently average at best, yet I'm still drawn to the packaging. I love the metal tubes of lip gloss, but the packaging is the best feature. The rose doesn't show up on my pigmented lips and it's not especially more moisturizing than Nivea lip balm. Save your $$ for something else, if you can resist the packaging :)
this is too harsh to use as an all-over toner for my combo/dry skin, so i use it just on my nose + chin, a few times a week. i find when i used it on more areas of my face, i'd end up feeling oilier later. would not repurchase. **edit: added a star because as a spot treatment, my skin seems to have gotten used to it and doesn't seem extra oily as before. not a staple, but i think it helps a little in combination w/other products.**
this works great for me as a night time spot treatment! i haven't found it to be overly drying, but like i said, i don't apply all over my face. i started getting big zits in my 20's (why??) but since i started using this, i haven't had anything truly hideous. i only use it on my nose, chin + anywhere a pimple seems to be forming. too bad i can't use it during the day b/c it can dry into a light white powder that balls up under other products. would buy again, except this will last me years as a spot treatment.
Surprised by the high ratings. I wanted to use this as a primer, but my e/l slid under my eyes. When I use the same e/l w/my Lumene primer, I did not have this problem. I also did not notice any improvement in e/s color on top of this product. Too pricey to be a mediocre primer. Wheat was a good match for my NC25 skin.
I'm returning this. It's basically just hair perfume, and I don't like the scent- too floral for me, and it's really strong. It doesn't add texture to my fine/medium chin length hair, though the SA in the store swears by it, but her hair is gorgeous to begin with.
