Mascara -Jordana - Best Lash Extreme Volumizing Mascara
shamcd 1/20/2012 2:59:00 PM
Cheap, smooth, buildable, and HOLDS A CURL. This is the best drugstore mascara I have ever used, and I will buy it as long as they continue to make it. The brush is nice and plush, the formula doesn't clump, and I love it as much as everyone else here seems to. Two thumbs up.
Fragrances -Victoria's Secret - Pink with a Splash FRESH & CLEAN
shamcd 12/2/2011 12:16:00 PM
Oh, how I LOVE this scent! My friend wore it one day and I instantly fell in love with it. It's exactly as named, fresh and clean smelling. Whenever I wear it, I feel like I've just stepped out of the shower. It's the only one of the Pink with a splash scents that I like; the rest are way too sweet and/or fruity. But this one is a lifelong keeper for me...I'll buy it as long as they produce it.
Eye Shadow -Wet 'n' Wild - Color Icon Single - Kitten 257A
shamcd 9/16/2011 12:27:00 PM
Wow, not much love here for Kitten. I actually had a great experience with it, but the key is PRIMER. I swatched it on a dry hand and I couldn't see any color, just gold shimmer. But when I put it on over my primer this morning, it looks GREAT! It's a nice, opaque lavender with gold shimmer that can be buffed down if it's too much. I paired this with Sugar and it looks stunning on brown eyes. Very blendable, smooth, and pretty. Guess I got lucky with it.
This conditioner left my hair dry and somewhat frizzy. There's not much slip, even while working it into wet hair, much less as it dries. The smell is nice, but it doesn't make up for the lack of performance of the product. Will not re-buy.
Shampoo -Organix - Renewing Moroccan Argan Oil shampoo

The shampoo and conditioner both left my hair dry and somewhat frizzy. The smell is nice, but it doesn't make up for the lack of performance of the product. Will not re-buy.
This is my first LUSH purchase ever, and I am hooked! The scent is like milk and honey, with a light touch of mint or eucalyptus. When this stuff hits your skin, it melts right in. My husband actually picked this out, since he's always looking for ways to get me to rub his back more often (he's a big guy...and I have weak hands, lol!), and it made the massage session much easier. The smell was wonderful, and the product didn't sink in to the skin immediately, making it last quite a long time. The taste, however, was quite bland. Not good, not bad, just bland. But I'd still repurchase any day of the week. I put some on my upper arms to see how it would handle my KP, and it made my skin noticeably softer for quite a few hours. Love it!
Powder -Neutrogena - mineral sheers mineral powder foundation-fair to light
shamcd 5/31/2011 9:55:00 AM
Wow...terrible reviews here, and I can understand. I've had this stashed in my cabinet for over a year, put there out of the same packaging frustration that everyone else has had. I decided to give it another shot and I'm pleasantly surprised. I pumped the guide up and down 5-6 times, turned it upside down and patted it on my hand until the product started to come out, then swirled it onto my face. I actually like the coverage and smoothness it imparts, but the brush was pretty scratchy. I blended it with my E.L.F. Studio powder brush and am really enjoying the glow of the foundation. A year ago, I'd have given it one lippie, but since I like the actual powder inside the crappy packaging, I'm giving it three.
LOVE LOVE LOVE this color! It's creamy, quite opaque, and applies smoothly. I only needed two coats of this and I absolutely adore the cutesy, perfect Smurf blue shade of this polish. I can see wearing this all summer long. Definitely gonna try a gradient nail using this as the tip color.
Eye Makeup Remover -Wet 'n' Wild - eye make-up remover

Smells like citrus fruit. Feels just like it too if you get it in your eye. Beware...
Misc Beauty Tools -Unlisted Brand - Salux Nylon Japanese Bath Towel
shamcd 3/29/2011 9:49:00 AM
ONE.USE. That's all it took for me to fall in love with this cloth, since it's so friggin' amazing! I have keratosis pilaris on my upper arms, and after using it for the first time this morning, I have tossed away my bath pouf and loofahs. My skin has to be at least 75% softer after my shower this morning. I have tried so many different scrubs and caustic lotions under the sun that either didn't work, were too painful, broke me out, or were just crap. Who would've thought this little nylon and polyester cloth would make such an immediate difference? Three snaps in a Z formation!!
Love this stuff! Like many other posters here, I also have very dark, genetic circles that wont' go away no matter what I do. I also have some crepiness and dryness under my eyes, so finding something thick enough to cover, yet not settle into the lines was nearly impossible. I don't know what's in it or what kind of magic Garnier has worked, but this formula is excellent! Good coverage, blends like a dream, and doesn't settle into my lines....we have a winner! I'm only on day 2 and I'm already in love.
Eye Shadow -E.L.F. - Brightening Eye Color-Nouveau Neutrals
shamcd 3/14/2011 2:34:00 PM
Total crap. I generally like most of E.L.F.'s shadow quads, but the colors in this set are terrible. They're not pigmented, they're way too sheer, and the only thing that you really get out of this quad is massive glitter fall out on your cheeks. I'm also fair complected and they STILL don't show up! I've used foundation, eye primer, concealer, and Pixie Epoxy; nothing helps. The only color that I may use again is the green...it's not too bad, but the rest of the shades are a glittery mess. Boo, E.L.F., boo!
Lip Gloss -Hard Candy - Mouthing Off Sheer Lip Shine
shamcd 2/21/2011 5:14:00 PM
I have this in 214/Scoop, which is a nice, sheer beige-nude. It's probably the most neutral nude gloss I own and it smells great! Reminds me of vanilla cupcakes. It is quite sheer, as the name denotes, but applies smooth & creamy. Looks great by itself but even better layered over a nude lipstick.
Highlighters -Hard Candy - Moon Glow Luminizing Powder
shamcd 2/21/2011 12:30:00 PM
I have to agree with the majority...there are definitely large glitter particles in this powder that make it very difficult to wear (unless you're under the cloak or darkness or at a club). It's unfortunate because I really like the smoothness of the product, just not the obvious gold glitter. I do love the packaging though; it's quite sturdy, and I like the flip mirror/sponge compartment. I have repurposed this as an all over wash of nearly-there color for my eyes. It's actually quite beautiful and angelic on my lids.
Eye Shadow -Wet 'n' Wild - Color Icon Trio - Silent Treatment
shamcd 2/15/2011 11:55:00 AM
I've found my new, everyday look! This set of shadows is nothing short of excellent. I adored WnW to begin with, but it seems like they may have reformulated and somehow managed to make their already-creamy shadows even creamier with these new trios. The taupe is PERFECT, the chocolate brown has just enough sparkle, and the peach highlight shade imparts a subtle, pretty sheen. I usually like bolder colors, but this set is so pretty and versatile, you can easily make a dramatic, smoky eye with it too. I'm in love!
