Mascara -Maybelline - Volum' Express The Falsies Waterproof Mascara

I really like this mascara. For me, i'm asian so naturally my lashes are straight, short and stumpy. I wouldnt say that this is the best mascara that i've used in my entire life, but it is very good. The effect that i get from this is longer lashes and it really keeps the curl (i am a master at curling lashes!). It does make it look like i have false lashes on, but they are not very dramatic. All i get is length and no volume, which i guess is ok for me as i have a decent amount of lashes but with the name of this mascara i thought there would be more. They are really good for the everyday look, but for special occaisons i think i will keep searching for my HG.

Liquid -Chanel - Mat Lumiere Long Lasting Luminous Matte Fluid Makeup SPF 15

I got this when i was living in singapore when my dry skin was not to dry in the humid weather. and right now in the summer, there is a little bit for moisture in the air, my skin is coping well with it. The colour is absolutely perfect for me and it feels like it was made for me. The texture of this is really nice, its not to thick that i feel that it wont blend, but just thick enough to make to feel confident that it would cover. its supposed to be a medium to full coverage foundation and its exactly that. The finished look on me, it seems like its actually my skin, and when i wear it people ask me if ive wasnt wearing make-up for that day, which is a sure sign for HG status. the only thing keeping me from giving this a 5 is that im back in dry weather and its already showing signs of it being a bit to dry for me. It is the foundation for oily skin, which i do expect. Good foundation tho

So now that im livingin singapore now, my skin type has changed somewhat, its more normal rather than really dry. Before i wouldnt have dared to go near the tick foundation simply because i would be too scared it would cake on me too much, but now that my skin is better, i decided to give this a try, especially after hearing the raves about it from youtube. its very easy to apply, just three strokes on each cheek is enough to cover my face without looking to cakey and made up. it gives my skin that no-makeup look that ive spent my life searching for. the finish is even better when i rememeber to wet my spong to blend it out. I use a sponge to blend it out most of the times, ive never found myself useing my fingers. and for spot treatment, i used a concealer brush and its works equally as well as that. love it soo much. The only reason it didnt get 5/5 is because recently ive found that i cant use it on my t-zone, and making me break out in those areas, every where else is fine, luckily i dont neever coverage on my nose, just round the sides.

Masks -Laneige - Water Sleeping Pack
shaleelo 7/30/2009 7:57:00 PM
this saved my skin. before i started to use this my skin was dehydrated, flaky. i even went into the laneige counter while i was in hong kong, and i did a skin test.(i dont know why stores in the uk dont have these skin machines!!! they are sooo helpful!) anyway, they measured the hydration in my skin, it was 26.5, i think the average for healthy skin was something like 36. and the skin texture anaylizer thngy should the natural lines in my face(that are microscopic) were too flat or something, meaning that they are soo dry, it damaged the texture, and now even if i put good moisturizer on, it wouldnt absorb properly i got the cream, and this other thing aswell, but thats not the point, about after a week of intense masque-ing i went back and there was a noticeable difference in the hydration in my skin, i think it was like 32 when i went back! and the lines in my face were better. so yeah, its really good!

Treatments -Laneige - Laneige Strawberry Soft Peeling Gel
shaleelo 7/30/2009 7:56:00 PM
i dont like this as much as i would like. more like i got something that was better, that works in the same way really. its just a gel that you rub into your skin and it basically peels away the dead skin cells that sit on your face away, meaning it takes away the things that make your skin dull. it smells really nice, and i could smell it all day! the reason i dont like it as much is because the skin cells that come off my face comes off as a sort of paste, which i dont like. it sort of feels like my face is melting off, and its kinda scary. the other one that i have, its by japanese brand, it comes of in kinda lumps. also it wipes off my face when im finished easier that the laneige one. tho both work really well, its more personal preference. the woman at the counter also told me it would be better if you use the gel on your hands before so that when you come to massage your face its not the dead skin cells on your hands aswell that comes off.

Eyeliner -Urban Decay - 24-7 Liner in Gunmetal
shaleelo 7/30/2009 7:39:00 PM
I really like this one, better than zero actually. this the perfect eyeliner for the minimalistic smokey eye. i have black hair so combined with my natural lashline it looks like i have a faint smudged out black eyeliner when i use this. its amazing. the subtle metalic hints in this gives it extra oomph and i love it. it has become a part of my daily routine and im so glad that i got tempted by the free eye palette from urban decay which required you to buy 2 full priced products to get, this being one of them that i wanted to try. i would have never bought it in its own right otherwise! (if you are in bigger boots(UK) i think the offer is still on) yeah, must try it, its a great subtle way to eyeliner for the not so 'made up' requiring days :P will defo buy this again and agin, but i dont think i would be running out of this pretty soon tho

Eyeliner -Urban Decay - 24-7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Zero
shaleelo 7/30/2009 7:33:00 PM
this the eyeliner that use when im going for the "thick eyeliner" look. it goes on really well! and it does what it says, stays put all day! tho the only think that bugs me is that the line doesn't do the "thin precise" eyeliner for me, wouldnt take over the liquid liners in my book. so if i was going for the still made up look, but too lazy or no time i would go for this! i dont think i would get this again, because i can get the same look from my bobbi brown or illamaqua eyeliner and can vary the thickness. its more versatile really. but im glad i got this and would enjoy it while it lasts

Eyeliner -Illamasqua - Eye Liner Cake - Mislead
shaleelo 7/30/2009 7:23:00 PM
I bought this on a whim, my aim was the eyeliner brush that ive been hearing raves about (thats amazing aswell, will write a review about it when i can be bothered) anyway about the eyeliner, like the other review said, this is amazing! ive never touched a cake eyeliner before, and it feels like second nature to me to use this, and i dont know how i live without this before? when i got this, it came with the sealer, which is really good, one drop is a good amount to do both my eyes. and i can also alter the thickness of the eyeliner to how much i mx the sealer with the eyeliner. its great! even the £16.50 price tag isnt scaring me, i just want more! its sooo worth it!

Crème -Chanel - Teint Innocence Cream to Powder Compact Foundation
shaleelo 7/6/2009 10:01:00 PM
i was originally planning to get the liquid version of this, but for some reason, i said i wanted this. and i glad i went on that tangent. The creme feels very cooling when i put this on. i put it one with a MAC 138 brush, and it goes on like a dream. The consistency of this feels like and not really easy to overdo, which is missleading because when it goes wrong, it goes WRONG, but when you get it right, you start to sing at its awesomeness! i got the lightest shade there, i think it was faence or something, i dont have the foundation with me at the moment, which is perfect match for me. I it doesnt oxidise on me, which i dunno know if its normal if creams dont oxidise but whatever, im happy. will get this again

Crème -Shu Uemura - Face Architect

my liquid version of this was running out, so i thought i would buy another to back it up. the SA told me to get this as it offered more coverage. Of course, being a sucker for coverage i bought it. I have alot of foundations, so much that i could wear a different one for each day of the month, i kid you not! and this one is in my top 5. the coverage is about a medium to semi full, and it doesn't go on cakey or overly obvious that i have foundation on. The SA also told me that the cream would be better for my dry skin, which i did find was true. my skin didnt start to flake by the end of the day like the fluid version does. it lasts the day and i tend to go thro most of the day with a full face of makeup on, and foundation isnt one of the things that i have to touch up on. Its making me lazy really. i dunno if i would get this again....well not until i get through the rest of my foundations....:P

Powder -MAC - Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in Light Medium [DISCONTINUED]
shaleelo 7/6/2009 9:22:00 PM
I had this, and i lost it!!! but from what i remember, its a really good product, and i mainly use this as a setting powder rather than a mineral foundation. the coverage as a foundation is just to sheer for my liking, and i don't think i would get a good skin day for me to want to brave it :( this one was a bit too dark for me tho, im a NC20/NW15 so i think i shoulda gave it a bit for thought and realised that i should of got the light one instead. but ahwell. If i was to get round to getting another one, i would get the light one, but this is definitely a good powder, and i would defo buy this again, its just then matter of when :P

Mascara -Rimmel - Sexy Curves
shaleelo 7/6/2009 9:17:00 PM
i guess being asian, its a given that mascara is a big part of my make-up routine. my stubby lashes are a pain in the butt! and i would do anything for them to be long and have that natural curl in them! but for now i have mascara to help me with the job. anyhoo, back to the mascara, its great, but i find it annoying. The length that it gives my lashes, the hold that it has on the curls and the intensity of the black, its all good, but there just something that annoys me and makes me not want to use it and i cant put my finger on it. I love the design of the wand, its really cool and new, but the floppyness of it reminds me of maybelinne define a lash, and i hate that mascara! i wouldnt buy this again, purley because i dont reach for it as much as i would like, and that i have mascaras that i like more than this one and think are better in one way or another.

Liquid -Giorgio Armani - Luminous Silk Foundation
shaleelo 7/6/2009 9:09:00 PM
i bought this when i was traveling and i was sporting my deathly white face because of the planes and stuff. so the SA sold me no. 4 which i think is too light for me now. seeing as i was on my way on holiday i forgot to mention that i would get darker.....whoops. but anyhoo, the foundation itself is very good the coverage is very good, and the finish is exactly like the name suggests. My skin isnt the smoothest as i currently have congestion in my skin, (trying to figure that out) making most foundations not adhering to my skin as well, but this does a great job. the colour may be a bit on the light side, but im sure once winter roles around, it would be a great match as i go super pale during the winter months :P
