Foundations -Chanel - Lift Lumiere Fluid

I love this foundation and alternate between this one and the MUFE hd one. I can do one light layer of this foundation or 2 or even 3 layers (for evening) My skin is a little bad recently due to IVF treatments (its usually very smooth/clear) so at the moment i do like a heavier coverage and what I love about this i can do 2-3 layers and it still looks great- slight glow, not too heavy and covers everything. I am always self tanning though and find shade 50 natural slightly orange in the day, although i can def get away with it at night. I have had to buy the shade beige 40 and mix it with the 50, so i do wish there were more shades.with the chanel pressed powder this stays on all day really love it

Primer/ Corrector -Chanel - Le Blanc de Chanel - Sheer Illuminating Base

I am obviously in the minority here but I absolutely hated this and chucked it out into the bin after a few times. I like a glowy, fresh complexion and after my usual serum and moisturiser I applied this but thought it was horrible. It's pure white like tip ex and I have to rub it in quite well to get the whiteness to disperse, by which my glowy fresh skin was now dull, paler and lifeless. I didn't like how foundation went over it either. I do a lot of self tanning and last thing I want is to look paler in the face when I'm self tanning the night before. And I just thought my foundation looks much much better without it or my HG illamasqua primer (which is also white just NOTHING like this one!!) the bottle is very chic but that's all the good I can say on it

Moisturizers -NARS - Aqua Gel Luminous Oil free moisturiser
rated 5 of 5
sexysylvia1211 3/29/2013 7:25:00 AM

I have the luminous face mask from this line also, and I have to say I cant wait to get more products! The mask is amazing. This cream is also. I have combination skin, oily t-zone and dry dehdyrated forehead and chin/cheeks. I cant use moisturisers that are creams unless they are really light but then they dont seem to give enough moisture. This gel is amazing. Goes on very quickly and smooth (not rubbing/blending in for ages like some products), sinks in quickly and most importantly acts as a great base for foundation. Weve all been there- bought a great moisturiser and then go on to apply foundation and it goes on horribly. This isnt the case here at all which is grew. Really happy with this cream. Its great for the oiler areas on my face AND the dehydrated areas equally. £40 in the UK

Masks -NARS - Aqua Gel Luminous Mask
rated 5 of 5
sexysylvia1211 3/29/2013 7:17:00 AM

I have combination skin that is sometimes quite dull and lifeless, although clear. This mask is so amazing and I am generally very fussy with skincare and have never got on with the more expensive skin care from Creme de la mer or la praire. This mask goes on so smoothly, its a thin white lotion. I leave it on for 15 min and get the softest most glowy skin ive ever had with any mask. I just love the glow. This mask would be absolutley amazing to use before a party, special event or even like me, just some mornings i have some extra time and my skin is looking crap- i know this mask out of all my masks is the one i reach for as it makes the most noticeable difference. Its not really one of those 'heavy duty' masks like the clay ones that will unplog pores or do anything big, but it leaves skin super smooth and beautifully glow-y. Now and then (if i feel I really need it!!) ill use a clay mask first and then this after. I also that the aqua moisture gel cream from this same line and its light and amazing too! Will get more from this line as really love it!

Bronzers -Bobbi Brown - Illuminating Bronzing Powder in Aruba
rated 5 of 5
sexysylvia1211 3/7/2013 6:54:00 AM

I got this very randomly but i love it! I have been tanning a lot recently so number 128 in mufe hd foundation/nc40 are my best matches and sometimes when im so tanned i dont want to on top over do the bronzer...in this harsh winter uk light it just isnt flattering and will make me look awful and too muddy to put any type of ''full bronzer'' on. By ''full bronzer'' i mean the normal standard bronzers, this to me is a ''light'' version of a bronzer. It gives subtle colour (golden) with shimmer that leaves a beautiful glow and sheen. What i love about subtle bronzers (and theyre not as easy to find as you'd first think!) is that you can layer and layer IF YOU WANT. You dont need to be super careful applying it, like most bronzers. I love it x

Masks -Rodial - 5 Minute Facial

I think I have to agree 100% with the previous reviewer!! This was an ok product, that I too dont regret buying...but wouldnt necessarily re purchase. I bought this on a whim, I'm generally a fan of Rodial products so thought i couldnt HATE this...And yes, its a nice mask but my skin looks nicer and smoother with others. Its ok, average. Definitely nothing amazingly special

Liquid -Bobbi Brown - Long Wear Even Finish Foundation Spf 15

I haven't done a review on here for ages even though i used to be addicted! But I just HAD to go on here now, as this is honestly in the top 5 worst foundations ive ever got. I am all for the full coverage look, i really am, that whole kim k perfect flawless skin look (which we all know cannot be achieved with a light foundation in reality!!) I am not a fan of EL DW but i know it is no where near as bad as this. This is sooooo heavy and whats worse, it LOOKS incredibly heavy. Literally like a mask. Thats without piling it on, just a 'normal' application. It was drying and sticky, i couldnt blend properly it was such hard work!! I spent ages trying to get a nice application as i didnt wanna chuck it in the bin after 30 secs, i wanted it to work, like another reviewer said u really do fall for all the BB hype. It looked so crap on my face. Every pore showed up (i get facials every 2 weeks so i know my pores dont look like that!) every dry patch, every crappy 'flaw' that i have never noticed before. Of course...by then ive been applying and trying tirelessly to blend for around 15 min TRYING to make it look half decent. But I cant, so i applied another layer of the foundation to even things out. Terrible. I mean, some what better but by then it looked like i had a massive amount of foundation and im not exagerating when i saw my normal clear skin (with the odd blemish/redness around the nose) looked terrible. and i had aged by a good few years. That heavy make up look really doesnt do anyone any favours. All in all disguisting foundation

Self Tanners -St.Tropez - Wash Off Instant Glow Body Lotion
rated 1 of 5
sexysylvia1211 8/19/2012 1:13:00 PM

I use sun beds occasionally, as well as take holidays on the beach so I am pretty dark already...I just wanted something to even out my skintone, something similar to the sally hansen airbrush legs spray. This i found impossible to blend in it was terrible. I just used it on my legs and however much i blended i had streaks all day. It looked like a fake tan that had gone wrong. The front of my legs blended a bit better and then yes, u do have a nice glow, but it took ages of blending...definitely too much hassle! Will be throwing this out

Liquid -Shiseido - The Makeup Lifting Foundation SPF 16
rated 5 of 5
sexysylvia1211 3/26/2012 12:41:00 PM

This is a really amazing foundation!! I, like many women, are SO hard to please when it comes to foundations- i am combo- oily skinned, light tan nc35-37 in studio fix fluid. I hate mac's colouring though- im somewhere inbetween nc35 and 40 but thye are SO orange, and i need a full coverage foundation as i love that flawless look!! I have this in 060, perfect shade although i could do with an 080 if it existed...which i dont think it does. I personally love that its thick, over moisturised skin it just glides on and covers everything and as long as u know how to apply foundation, blending it out and applying in natural light i dont see how this foundation gives a 'mask' effect or looks 'obvious'. I think MAC studio fix fluid looks much worse in real life (In photos its nice) Im considering using this for my wedding but i dont know how it photographs?? Otherwise really amazing foundation that i always go back to and know i can rely on

Pressed Powders -Fresh - Face Luster
rated 3 of 5
sexysylvia1211 3/25/2012 4:59:00 AM

I dont like the overly matte look at all. But i also have quite oily skin, so if I pair this with a 'dewy' foundation, i will look too greasy and shiny too quickly. So I like to use it with foundations such as mac's studio fix fluid. If you like a soft subtle glow, but are not finding your foundation does that, this powder is amazing to add on top instead of the usual powders. Its very very pretty. I have the fresh bronzer and blush which are also glowy, and i use all products if i want that soft j lo look :) Its not the best powder for oiliness but it wont look cakey or powdery...for the day time its perfect, im just deliberating whether to use it on my wedding day as it comes out lovely in photos but not sure for a full wedding day if i should use something more...stronger/mattifying.. i use shade sandy lane its perfect for my light tan nc35 skin- 40 skin (fake tan :)) )

Primer/ Corrector -NARS - Pore Refining Primer - Oil Free
rated 2 of 5
sexysylvia1211 3/25/2012 4:52:00 AM

This is a 'nice' product, but i wont finish it before chucking it/finding something better. I have oily skin, around my nose is the worst, the usual t zone. The only foundations that seem to work well on me are these long lasting ones- such as mac's studio fix fluid or EL DW...which i dont really like to wear during the days as they are so full coverage. I like to have the option of wearing lighter, dewier foundations and set out to look for a matte primer. I dont like the smashbox typical 'silicone' primers, that feel greasy on your fingers before you have even put on your face. This one is not like that at all. Its looks like a thin white lotion. No greasiness at all. My make up does smooth on much nicer, and look nice over it, but...it doesnt do a thing for my oily skin at all...as in at all. I dont see any difference. Im still oily within a few hours and shiny. The best so far i have found is illamasqua matte primer, which i will prob go back to

Concealers -Bourjois - Healthy Mix Correcting Concealer
rated 2 of 5
sexysylvia1211 2/1/2012 9:15:00 AM

I love the foundation, but the concealer not so much. Im nc35ish right now give or take depending how much ive been tanning, and i like my under eye concealer to always look much brighter and a little lighter then the rest of my face. I bought this in 'dark radiance' which is NOT AT ALL dark dont be fooled by the name :) I liked the colour, yellow toned, but it almost disappears once i start to blend it under my eyes! the coverage was quite light and if u like that immaculate under eye smooth look u wont get it with this. I also thought it looked a bit dry and well...like a d/s product really! However i loved the tube packaging and your thinking this product worked similar to you too u def need to check out shiseido concealer its called natural finish cream concealer and has sililar tube to this one (but shorter and thicker) its AMAZING its everything this concealer should be its my HG...very creamy but amazing coverage which this one lacks :( I dont think it would apply to blemishes either i think this is very much an under eye concealer, i also found the texture not as smooth as the shiseido version.

Loose Powders -Illamasqua - Loose Powder LP 200
rated 5 of 5
sexysylvia1211 1/18/2012 11:22:00 AM

Im not really a fan of any powders loose or pressed, as i hate that matte powdery look, and love glowy dewy foundations, however my t zone is oily so i thought id give this a try. Its actually so nice and this is coming from someone who hates powders! It is very light and fluffy but it also does depend on which brush you use. I have found the most amazing brush by shiseido, better than mac or nars. Its the softest brush you will ever feel, its called the powder brush but i use it for everything from highlighter to blush to powder. It gives such a sheer application. You really cannot tell im even wearing powder. I also didnt want a translucent powder like every SA kept recommending as i wanted something that would match my face colour/foundation shade and i always feel these white ''translucent'' powders look ashy and white on my skin tone and i think in photos it also shows. This powder is really great, the other illamasqua stuff is a bit intense for me the colourings etc so this subtle light powder is a really nice suprise.

Concealers -Cle de Peau - Concealer - ochre
rated 2 of 5
sexysylvia1211 1/18/2012 11:10:00 AM

Im from the UK and we dont have this brand here so when I was going to NY over xmas i couldnt wait to get this. But now i have it im so disappointed. Firstly, the shade i got and that i really thought looked the best for my nc35-37 skintone (depending how much ive been tanning that day) was ocre, and although this is perfect for blemishes and around my nose it doesnt really do much for my under eye area, like another lady said further down on the reviews, that it did nothing to brighten up the under eye which i love, you know how kim k always goes lighter under her eyes...well this didnt do that. But that was down to my colour choice and i should have gone for something lighter. However, the colour choice wasnt the only problem. I actually found this to be too creamy- as in it was so easily smudged, it moved around my face like butter...its very silky and slippery...it doesnt just stay put. I found it settled into lines under my eyes, and i dont particularly have lines there (im 27). If i touched my face where i had applied this it would instantly be on my finger nails or fingers however lightly i touched, but that never happens with my usual foundation (any LM/estee lauder double wear light) It was just too slippery for me, and i just need something to stay put once its on not move and slide around..lasting power wasnt great i had to re apply a few times..overall very disappointing as i had such high hopes for this concealer...so far becca compact concealer has been the best for blemishes/spots and shiseido natural finish concealer for under eye area or mufe. This one is also too thin texture for me. I did like the nice compact pen style packaging though.
