Lipstick -Maybelline - Color Sensational - Totally Toffee
rated 4 of 5

Maybelline Color Sensational lipsticks aren't really my favorite drugstore lipsticks. The Playdoh scent is a nuisance and most of what I own are drying on the lips. The only thing that draws me into the line are the nude shades. With that said, Totally Toffee is a gorgeous warm, brown nude creamy lipstick for my NC30 skintone. It's not zombie pale and it's not 90s dark brown. No shimmers and no frost. It's a bit sheer and semi-glossy, similar to a Lustre finish by MAC. Oddly enough, this particular one didn't dry my lips out like the others in the line. If you find Revlon's Soft Nude a bit too pale, try this.

Eye Shadow -NYX - Rust

This is the quintessential fall eyeshadow for me. I am around NC30 with strong yellow undertones, and this looks amazing with a matte dark brown/black eyeshadow on the crease, black eyeliner, and numerous coats of mascara. NYX eyeshadows are hit or miss for me formula wise, but they nailed it with this one. It's creamy, metallic, and blends well. I always use UDPP, so I can't say much in terms of longevity. Tip: If you want to intensify the color a bit more, use Maybelline's Color Tattoo in Pomegranate Punk as a base.

Lipstick -Revlon - Revlon Super Lustrous in Fire and Ice
rated 5 of 5

I purchased this at CVS for around $6 since they were having a sale. To be honest, when this was first repromoted with the vintage packaging, I wasn't so thrilled as the others were. Mostly because from the tube and the many swatches I saw online, it seemed like a fire engine, orange-based red that looks awfully garish on me (think Ronald McDonalds or smearing hot sauce all over my mouth). So it took a few months and a bit of courage for me to finally try it since I'm looking for a new shade of red to wear this fall/winter season (I usually go for deeper reds like, Maybelline's Red Revival or berry reds like, Revlon's Cherries In the Snow). To my surprise when I put it on, it's not garish at all. There is definitely an orange/coral undertone, but it also has sort of a berry red undertone, making it a bit cool toned against my warm, olive skin. The red shade reminds me of poppies! Just gorgeous. It is bright when worn opaque, but my favorite way to wear it is by using my fingers to dab it on, creating a tinted balm/stain effect. The formula is creamy, but not as creamy as the Colorburst lipsticks. It doesn't dry my lips out either, although I do wear it over a lip balm. It also leaves a stained effect even as the color fades. It typically lasts me 2-3 hours with eating. It is utterly gorgeous and it's my new holy grail red lipstick that goes with just about any makeup looks I do (smokey eye, neutral eye, or just plain ole mascara). Definitely try it, and if it doesn't suit you, you can always return it.

Mascara -L'Oreal - Telescopic in Carbon Black
rated 4 of 5

Note: I have straight Asian lashes that are neither thick nor long. I don't use waterproof mascaras. What makes this mascara one of my HG products (along with CG Lash Blast and Maybelline Volume Express: Colossal) is the wand. The skinny applicator combined with the short bristles that aren't too close together makes Telescopic a really good lengthening and defining mascara. Though it doesn't volumize as much as Lash Blast and Colossal, it definitely lengthens a bit more. The Carbon Black formula adds to the drama and makes up for the lack of volume. As opposed to L'oreal Voluminous, Telescopic neither smudge nor flake. It holds my curl fairly well throughout the day (8-12 hours).

Lipstick -NYX - Harmonica

I don't know what possessed me to buy this shade, but since I only got it for $2 I'm not complaining. Its a VERY frosty baby pink. The formula is creamy and pigmented as all the NYX round lipsticks I've tried, but the shade just does not suit my olive skin tone. However, top it off with a TINY bit of NYX's Mega Shine lip gloss in Natural, and you get yourself a very wearable neutral pink.

Lip Treatments -eos - Lip Balm Sphere - Summer Fruit

I paid more for the packaging and the scent (Peachy-O's)/flavor. Dried out my lips, which went totally went against what it's marketed for. Probably the worst lip balm I've tried. The packaging is cute and convenient, but save your money for a Nivea Kiss of Moisture instead.

Lipstick -Maybelline - Color Sensational - Fuchsia Fever

If Barbie was a lipstick shade, this would be it. It's a very cool toned, vibrant pink. It does remind me a lot of Mac's Candy Yum Yum, but less vibrant. The texture is smooth and easy to apply. The finish is satin, although I wish it'd me more of a cream or a semi-matte since the color is so vibrant. But you can't really complain for the pigmentation and the price!

Lipstick -Cover Girl - lip perfection/heavenly
rated 4 of 5

Heavenly is a lighter version of Fairytale. Heavenly is nearly an exact dupe for NYX Tea Rose, but Heavenly is a tad more sheer. Personally, I prefer NYX's formula better, but I like the softer version of Heavenly. Overall, I find the the CG Lip Perfection to have a wide variety of colors that beats out Maybelline's Color Sensational and Revlon's Colorburst. Many of the colors are more pigmented than either of the two, but I still prefer Revlon's Super Lustrous lipsticks for the formula and the shade selection. But packaging wise, Cover Girl tops all drugstore lipsticks. I also find that the formula tends to leave a stain on my lips, which can be a good/bad thing for many.

I recently purchased two colors: Fairytale and Heavenly. Fairytale is a beautiful coral pink that is brighter than I thought. Polishes -Sally Hansen - Diamond Strength Fairy Tale Ivory

I am not one to like frosty nail polish (or lipsticks, for that matter), but this nude frost color is so subtle and beautiful on naked nails. It is pretty sheer, which means that it's a versatile product. I've used this over nude cremes and it gives it a nice feminine sheen. This can also be a nice alternative to the usual french pink polish. This wears a long time on me (about 4-5 days) without chipping.

Fragrances -Bath and Body Works - Dark Kiss
rated 4 of 5

I agree with the comment below that it smells very, very similar to Britney Spears's Midnight Fantasy perfume, which is what drew me into the product because I love that scent so much (a musky, sweet scent without being overly fruity). I love that it works perfectly with the perfume. So, if you like/love/have the Midnight Fantasy perfume, definitely get the body lotion and shower gel!
