Smells like a conglomeration of every scent offered by Sephora. A mess of weak woods and florals that made me feel vaguely queasy from the first synthetic top notes to the bland dry-down.

Fragrances -Gucci - Flora eau fraiche

Flora Eau Fraiche is a rather unique sweet-floral clean scent with excellent longevity. As other reviewers have mentioned, it does have a strong soap flair (which I actually like), but it's tempered by bright florals, a touch of herbal green, and a subtle warmth. It actually reminds me of the older Herbal Essences scents from the '90s, before they all became sickeningly fruity. For an EDT, Flora Eau Fraiche has impressive lasting power and sillage (though not overwhelming). I spray the inside of my elbow once, press gently to my other arm, and can smell it easily for 10+ hours.

I want to love this, but I can't quite move past just really liking it. This is unusual and unquestionably beautiful - woodsy, slightly powdery, elegant yet not obnoxiously chic - but some component that would make it magical is missing (at least for me). Still rated as a buy-again as it is a pleasure to wear.

Crème -Revlon - ColorStay Whipped Creme Makeup
rated 4 of 5

This is the longest-lasting yet easiest to apply foundation I have tried. I've been loyal to Revlon's "regular" liquid CS for years (the oily/combo version), and I think I like this better. I bought the same shade I've used in the liquid, Buff, and the color match was great (for reference, I'm blonde and blue-eyed but my undertone is neutral, borderline warm). No over-orange, nor too much pink - just right! It blends very easily onto my skin and there is no odd "too-even" cast like I experience sometimes with the liquid. It lasts longer than the liquid too - I would say 7-8 hours of very good coverage, which is pretty much unheard of on my oily skin! Even after that, it still looks good to fair for the rest of the day. My only complaint is that it does make my skin feel quite oily after a few hours; I think the whipped creme formula is a little too moisturizing for me. I usually use oil absorbing sheets around lunch time and the issue is solved. To be fair, I have never found a foundation that doesn't make me a little more oily, and I almost always wear this with sunscreen underneath. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase and will definitely be buying again (though I'll be hunting for sales since this a pricier drugstore foundation).

Eyeliner -Wet 'n' Wild - Mega Eyes Creme Eyeliner - Black
rated 5 of 5
sexygirl999 9/1/2012 1:28:00 PM

This is a great buy. Highly pigmented, does not budge, and you can't beat the price. The downsides are almost that it's *too good* - once it's on, it dries very quickly and is hard to smudge to soften, and it is very difficult to take off. The other gel/creme eyeliners I have tried include Bobbi Brown, Physician's Formula, and Maybelline - so far this is the longest lasting for me. I do use eyelid primer, which increases the durability, but this is great on its own too. I had stopped using this for a few months because I was using BB's gel liner in Espresso Ink, but I pulled it out recently, craving a true black. Despite the flimsy top others have mentioned, it had not dried up at all and was still fully usable. I should mention I don't use the brush included with this product (though I do use it with other eyeliners); I have found that BB's Ultra Thin Brush and the PF brush work best. Overall, highly recommended :)

Cleansers -Clean & Clear - Foaming Facial Cleanser - Sensitive Skin
rated 5 of 5

Very good gentle but thorough cleanser. I find it removes even Revlon CS foundation and (almost all) waterproof mascara. I also use it to clean my makeup brushes since it's so inexpensive. I'm worried it's been discontinued, though - I can't find it except in stores with very low turnover :(

On paper, this sounded right up my alley. In reality, this is one of the most unappealing fragrances I've tried. While I can smell the soft lavender and vanilla, they are overridden by an overwhelming SWAMP note that does not go away! It smells like getting too close to a toad and trying to cover it up by spraying him in room fragrance.

Fragrances -Stella McCartney - L.I.L.Y.

I am really, really enjoying the sample I ordered, though I'm not blown away. Soft, clean, and warm without any glaring notes (at least not to my admittedly still-learning nose); it stays close to the skin with a scent that reminds me of an expensive body lotion. I haven't smelled a lot like it, though it does remind me a bit of DKNY Pure Verbena with it's soft, simple structure and herbal-touched clean scent. I'll probably purchase a bottle once it becomes available in the U.S. - this would be ideal for an every-occasion, all-season fragrance.

Makeup Brushes -Bobbi Brown - Ultra Fine Eye liner brush
rated 4 of 5
sexygirl999 4/13/2012 8:21:00 PM

I've been using gel/creme eyeliner almost exclusively for about a year and have tried about 7 or 8 brushes so far. This my favorite, without question. I can draw so much more neatly than with any of the others I've tried (most notable probably being Sephora's Pro Angled Eyeliner Brush). I always have had trouble making the outer edge of my gel eyeliner stay close to my lashline, but this brush makes it so easy! I think this brush is great for a natural look. FYI I did remove 1 lippe because it was expensive and I can't yet attest to how well it maintains its shape over time.

Eyeliner -Milani - Liquif'eye Metallic eye liner pencil -black

I'm impressed with the richness of color, ease of use, and staying power of this product. I wore this (over eyelid primer) and it stayed almost completely on for around 15 hours. That said, I don't know if I'll buy again due to the weird blueish gray undertone. After I apply eyeliner, I usually smudge it (slightly) with a cotton swab to soften the line - I found the smudged area to be a medium blue color, which looked awful with my skin tone and kind of betrayed the look I wanted. If you tend to use more eyeshadow than I do (or know how to use eyeliner better than me!), you might love this product.

Sunscreen -Neutrogena - Clear Face Break-Out Free Liquid- Lotion Sunblock SPF 30
rated 4 of 5
sexygirl999 4/12/2012 8:28:00 PM

I've been using this for about 3 weeks now and am really pleased! I've never been an everyday user of sunscreen, but I tend to sit outside for about an hour everyday for my lunch break, so I thought it was time to find something. This really does NOT cause breakouts and sinks in without causing greasy sheen on my skin. The texture is fairly watery, which I like because I can smoothe it into my skin easily. It seems that most of the concerns in negative reviews are about stinging - I did not experience this at all, though I would not classify my skin as particularly sensitive. If you have acne prone, oily skin that is not too sensitive, give this a try.

Fragrances -Donna Karan - DKNY Pure - Pure Verbena
rated 4 of 5
sexygirl999 12/1/2011 9:21:00 PM

A crisp but absolutely lovely scent. The lasting power is poor, thus the missing lippie, but this is the kind of soft and fresh scent that seems purposefully fleeting. There are so many scents out now that could also be described as soft and fresh, but they all seem to have sweetness and fruitiness, neither of which I like, and Pure Drop of Verbena manages to stay away from both. There is a definite basil note, or even something kind of earthy-dirt like, that stands out once in a while that gives this scent a hint of an edge. If you're looking for clean without any fruit - give this a sniff!

Fragrances -Donna Karan - DKNY Golden Delicious
rated 3 of 5
sexygirl999 8/21/2011 8:13:00 PM

I smelled this in a magazine and kept opening the magazine just to take deep breaths of it...based on that alone, I bought a bottle from Sephora. I'm regretting that now. I really do love the scent, but I don't think it works well as a perfume. I find it doesn't mesh into the skin at all, and just "sits" on top like a very bright, fruity, clean swatch of scent. I also totally agree with the shampoo vibe - on certain whiffs, it smells almost exactly like Finesse did maybe 10 years ago. I actually loved that scent, but it's much better as a shampoo than a perfume.

Fragrances -Stella McCartney - Stella Eau de Parfum Roll-On
rated 3 of 5
sexygirl999 5/3/2011 9:42:00 PM

I wanted to love this scent, and I can imagine it working wonderfully on the right person, but I always get overwhelming whiffs of bug spray :( It is a very obvious rose scent, which I do not really care for. High marks for the roller ball, though - it never leaks, is affordable, and the metal ball holds up well.

Cleansers -Neutrogena - Neutrogena Deep Clean Cleanser Cream
rated 4 of 5
sexygirl999 4/24/2011 8:38:00 PM

This is not a miracle cleanser, but I think it does a very good job at cleansing and refreshing, so I keep coming back to it! I've also noticed that my acne fades in irritation and redness with regular use of this product. I also love the not-too-intense but noticable tingle, and the scent is pleasant, too. It's not too drying, so I can use a topical treatment if I wish. To get the most thorough clean, I use with a washcloth or the scrublet from L'Oreal's 360 Clean line. I find myself craving the fresh, clean feeling I get from using this cleanser :)
