I use CILS Booster enhancing base with Définicils mascara in black. I use one coat of booster and one coat of Définicils to achieve a very dramatic look. My lashes don’t feel as stiff and crunchy with the CILS booster. They feel hydrated and flexible. I’ve also noticed an improvement in the overall quality of my natural lashes. When I remove my makeup, my lashes seem softer and have minimal damage. Mascara removal also seems to go easier using the CILS. I used to use one cotton ball for each eye, and now I only need to use one. I wear contact lens and have never had any irritation or discomfort from these products. CILS booster has become an everyday staple in my cosmetic routine. It’s like conditioner for your lashes. You want a good conditioner and good products for you hair that won’t cause damage and dryness … why not give you eyelashes the same attention?
I use this mascara with the CILS Booster enhancing base. It's fantastic! No clumping or flaking. I have had people ask me if my lashes were real. I just tell them my secret is really good mascara! The brush easily coats lashes thoroughly without having to back over a second time. I use the booster, so I only do one coat of booster and one coat of Définicils. It gives long-lasting length and separation. I wear contact lens and have never had any irritation or discomfort from this mascara. The outside ends of my eyelashes are very curly, and occasionally the wand will clump slightly in that area. So if you have curly lashes, you may need to keep a lash comb handy. After a few tries, I mastered the wand when coating that area of my lashes in order to avoid clumps. In the beginning this was my going-out or special occasion mascara because of the price, but it has become an everyday staple in my cosmetic routine. The results are fully worth the investment.
Lip Treatments -Burt's Bees - Replenishing Lip Balm with Pomegranate Oil

I THOUGHT I was a devoted fan of the original because I love the refreshing, minty tingle. But this replenishing balm hydrates so much better! I find that I don't have to apply the replenishing balm as often as I did the original. Previously, I tried the honey balm and hated the texture and the smell, so I was VERY hesitant to purchase this one. I didn't want another disappointment. But the smell of this is light and fruity. It glides on easily and leaves your lips super moist and shiny! I feel like I'm cheating on my original! I'm definitely trading up the replenishing for now ... at least through the winter. Maybe in the summer I can revisit the cooling effects of the original.
Lip Gloss -Physicians Formula - Plump Potion - Nude Potion
sdmiller 11/26/2007 5:17:00 PM
Yes, it smells. I think everyone agrees that this product has an unpleasant scent. I don't know the specific ingredient, but I used to have some tanning bed lotion that had a "tingle" ingredient that was supposed to increase blood circulation near the skin. I'm assuming this gloss contains either the same or a similar ingredient because the smell is spot-on and it does make my lips tingle. IF you can deal with the smell ... the results are surprisingly fantastic. I own Nude and Clear and they really do produce results. It isn't super dramatic, but I feel an increase in circulation and my lips appear fuller and smooth. The fullness seems to wear away in about 45 minutes, but the shine and sheer color last much longer, making it a good product even if you don't get the plastic-surgery effects you expect. It gets a little sticky and gummy after a while, particularly if you are drinking or eating anything. But I say it is worth it for the results! The color selection and variety are all appealing. I think my next purchase will be testing the Pink because it appears to be similar to the Nude. I haven't had any problems with my applicator yet, but I am also very meticulous about application and keeping my wands and brushes in good shape. This is definitely not something I throw on really fast ... I carefully paint the inside of my lips. I think it might actually irritate the skin around the lips if you happened to apply it in a hurry.
There was no way I was going to shell out $40 for a product that I didn't try first, and I'm glad that I did because the results were disappointing. I really didn't like the color my lips turned. I was hoping for a natural flush, but instead they looked very unnatural and irritated. They felt hydrated and smooth, and there were no feelings of irritation or stinging. But I just can't deal with the color it made my lips. I would never buy product in that shade, so why would I want a product like this that makes my lips naturally appear an unflattering shade? Also, I have average-sized lips and did not notice any change in the volume, just the color. It would be a great waste of money for only .28 oz of product that does nothing for me. I have no doubt that this product works for some people, but I think it greately depends on the size and color of your lips. I advise anyone interested in this product to try before you buy.
Lip Gloss -Flirt - Squeeze Me Super Shiny Lipgloss

I have this gloss in Nectar Fizz and Zippy Zinger. The colors are nice, and the entire line has a large variety to choose from. I enjoy the way they smell, and they have a slight sweet taste. However, they don't last quite as long by themselves as I had hoped. I use them for layering over lipstick and seem to get more wear with that method. Nectar Fizz blends especially well with most shades of lipstick. The consistency is nice and smooth, not sticky. I will more than likely purchase another, but stick with the lighter shades to add shimmer over lipstick.
I am a diehard fan of the Burt's Bees original beeswax lip balm, and this doesn't even come close. Where is the minty-fresh tingle? I expected the same tingle from the original with a hint of honey. The honey balm doesn't seem as smooth as the original, and it stinks! It smells like baby powder, which isn't really a bad smell. But it becomes a bad smell when it feels like you are wearing a baby's bottom on your lips! I was just totally disappointed with this balm. I will definitely stick to the original.
If you look around my purse, apartment, desk at work and my car, you will probably find 10 to 15 tubes of Burt's Bees original beeswax balm! It is fantastic! I love the mint-like tingle. I know a lot of people who do not like this balm because they don't like the tingling sensation on their lips, so if you don't like the tingle that you get from Blistex or Carmex, I recommend trying something else. However, if you are a fan of the tingle, you have to try this lip balm. It leaves lips soft and hydrated. I slather on a large does before bed and wake up with silky lips. I traded in Blistex and Carmex, which use ingredients such as camphor and menthol, for Burt's, which uses much more natural ingredients, including peppermint oil.
The color is very nice and sheer (I have Flirtini), and the consistency is ideal. But I can't stand the smell. The scent is too strong and too perfume-like for me. It appears to even taste a little like perfume, but they may be psychological from the smell. Although the color and texture is nice, I can find the same qualities in many other glosses at a much more reasonable price. It just doesn't seem worth the high price for me to purchase again.
Skincare - Body -Earth Therapeutics - Tea Tree Oil Foot Repair Balm

This is a great multi-purpose moisturizer. I use it on my feet, hands, elbows, knees and legs. For severe dry and cracked feet, slather the lotion on generously and place socks on your feet. You will wake up with smoother, softer feet. The smell isn't too strong and the lotion has a cooling sensation on the skin. I use this lotion in combination with Earth Therapeutics Tea Tree foot spray. The end result is soft, cool, minty-fresh feet!

What a wonderful product! This spray has a long-lasting peppermint scent that can help combat the worst foot odor. It also gives feet a cool, tingling sensation that helps moisturize and rejuvenate the skin. I spray this on my feet, as well as the inside of my shoes. My boyfriend tried this on his feet one day, and ended up stealing it from me! It really does wonders for stinky feet. And the sensation for tired, aching feet is just unbeatable.
Lipstick -Clinique - Different Lipstick - Surprise

This was received as a GWP several years ago, and I've been purchasing the same color since. Seriously, this is one of the few things in my makeup bag that I just can't let go. The color is just stunning and looks great on everyone. It looks very dark and coppery-brown in the tube, but it is so sheer and beautiful upon application. You can use a light application to get a shimmer of color, or layer it for a deeper, richer tone. I've used this color on several friends and it has a variety of appearances on different people ... but always compliments everyone and looks beautiful. Color aside, Clinique's Different Lipstick is just a trusty stand-by. It is light, smooth and gives great, lasting color.
I had been searching for a maroon or deep wine colored mascara for a while (had one years ago from Revlon, but it was discontinued). My friend had the Almay i-color volumizing mascara for green eyes in "Raisin Quartz" and intended to purchase it for me as a gift. However, she grabbed the "Emerald Green" lengthening mascara instead. I really enjoy experimenting with color, so I was excited to give it a go. But I was quickly disappointed. The mascara is very heavy and clumped going on the lashes. I'm not particularly fond of the brush, as it got extremely gunky after only two applications. Perhaps the most disappointing factor was the color. The "Emerald Green" looks more like a moss green in the tube, and it doesn't show very well on my lashes. I applied several coats, but still didn't achieve a desirable hue.
I will only purchase this product again because it comes in such a variety of vivid colors and I like to experiment on special occasions with brighter pigment combinations. I will more than likely purchase the teal and violet shades. As an everyday mascara, though, this product falls short. I bought the product in "black wink." It flaked a lot during the day, and has an odd smell. Not a bad smell, but I was a little weirded out that I could smell my lashes all day. However, the mascara did deliver the appearance of thicker, fuller lashes. Clumps were minimal and the application is smooth. I can find the same results though for a cheaper price ... without the flakes or the smell.
Blush -Neutrogena - Healthy Skin Blends Sheer Highlighting Blush

"Fresh 20" has to be one of the most flattering shades. Looking at this product in the package, I initially thought that it was way too pink. But I was pleasantly surprised to see the results. I have used this shade on many people with different skin tones, and it looks great on everyone. The color is so sheer that you can use a light application for a very natural look, or you can layer it for more color. It blends well on the skin and mixes very nice with other highlighters to give a very fresh "pop" of color.
