Styling Products -Frederic Fekkai - Glossing Cream with Olive Oil

Wonderful product that leaves styled hair smooth and free of flyaways. I use a little (pea sized amount) before I blow dry and then the same amount when I am done. It distributes better than any serum on the market and smells nice and light. Some finishing creams just smell so strong...like the popular one in an orange bottle. Whewww! Also this lasts a long time. A little goes a long way. If you want true shine you should look to a finishing shine spray...this is a GLOSS not a shine! Different.

Treatments -StriVectin - SD by Klein-Becker

Ok...I actually used this for my stretch marks and have noticed a great change in the texture and color. My stretch marks are over 16 years old and on my hips and are long and thin in nature. I have tried many different things and with StriVectin I have noticed a nice quick difference. IT IS REALLY $$$$ but I have to say that it has made a big difference. They are not gone and I know they will never be gone but the color is now not that shiny color and the texture is much smoother than it was. I am using it in combination with Biotherms stretch mark cream and it works great. It also smells better than most SM creams. I have not tried it on my face and don't plan to. The smell on my face would give me a headache!

Treatments -Juvena - Juvedical Serum

I have this product and like it but have not seen a dramatic change in my skin. I have sensitive skin so the BIG pluses are that it did not break me out at all and I could apply it day and night with no residue. From what I have read it was developed out of treatment given to burn victims. I think if you have tried every other serum out there and all seem to hurt your skin more than help it...then this is for you! If not...stick with a cheaper line.

Mascara -Maybelline - Lash Stylist Mascara ] [DISCONTINUED]
rated 5 of 5

Ok...I bought this because I loved Awakes mascara with the similar wand...it looks like a comb instead of a brush. This is similar with two combs next to each other and the mascara sits in the middle when you pull out the applicator. I LOVED IT. The first time I used it I looked like I had false eyelashes. It does give your lashes a very defined look so if you are into a natural look then you will want to pass on this and stick with the brush tips. I got brownish black and it is very black. I usually buy the blackest color available but this color is very deep and rich and might offset the defined lashes more. The combs are sharp so be careful! Especially on lower lashes...I recommend doing your top lashes first and then use the little bit of mascara left on the comb for the bottom. Another great thing about this mascara is you do not have to keep loading the wand with mascara. Once you open up the tube you have enough for both eyes and top and bottom lashes! Again I LOVE IT and it is much cheaper than my former fave Awake.

Skincare - Body -Ahava - Dermud Intensive nourishing hand cream
rated 4 of 5
schluh 2/23/2006 11:21:00 AM

The DerMud version of Ahava hand cream is far superior to the ordinary hand cream by the Ahava line. I work with paper products all day and this is the hand cream I turn to when my hands get very dry and full of paper cuts. The only reason I keep from giving it a 5 is due to the fragrance. I have sensitive skin and wish that companies would stop putting fragrances in these kind of products! There is no need for a hand cream to have a smell. I also wish it was cheaper...oh well!

Treatments (Eye) -Juvena - Vital Eye Q10 Plus Energy Complex
rated 3 of 5

I think this is a great general eye cream but the packaging and the thickness will keep me away from it. I hate eye greams that you have to dip your finger in. So unhygenic! PS I can't spell! Also I have very oily skin and noticed little hard white heads on my UPPER lid after using this in my crease. They eventually had to be removed by my derm. Not fun. I did work on my wrinkles a bit but had to stop using it because of the break out. Also left it open for 1 hour and it turned to glue! Oops.

Other -Boscia - Fresh Blotting Linens
rated 5 of 5
schluh 7/27/2005 4:09:00 PM

These come in four varietis...fresh, green tea, lavender and rose. The fresh is not scented at all and probably the best over all. Great for men too. They are linen paper and really soak that oil up. The dispenser is great too. It is like pop up tissues and they hardly ever get bunched up. Stays neat in a crazy purse. The green tea is supposed to be for oilier skin and the lavander is for dryer skin but I just liked the smell of them. The rose was is new and a portion of the proceeds go to breast cancer research so these are the ones I buy the most. A little more expensive but so cute and pink and they smell wonderful for anyone who likes roses...it is a must. You get 100 for about 7 to 10 bucks. Not too bad considering othe brands give you 25 or so! Such nice little pick me up in the day!

Self Tanners -Biotherm - Sunfitness - Self Tanner - Leg Shaping Gel
rated 5 of 5
schluh 7/8/2005 6:27:00 PM

A bit pricey but not horrible. Goes on with a shimmery tint that tells you where you are putting it (for the tan) and also gives a good color that you can wear that day. Not a bad smell (it does smell but not bad or strong) and gives your legs a refreshing feel. Prob just peppermint oil or similar but nice. I do wish there was more in the bottle. Only about 5 applications per bottle.

Treatments -Barielle - Rebuilding Nail Repair

Great product by a great company. I love this item. It brightened my yellow nails and whitened my nail tips. Does not chip just kinda fades into nails after time (I am bad at not taking off nail items). :)

Lotions/ Creams -BeneFit Cosmetics - Bathina Body So Fine
rated 3 of 5
schluh 7/8/2005 6:07:00 PM

I was looking for something protable to take on trips that I would never have to worry about leaking. Well that was the best thing about this product. The scent was ok but the application was cumbersome and did not feel good on unshaved legs. It did provide a nice sparkle but not very moisterizing. I felt like I needed a ton of it to even break the surface of my dry legs. If you love the scent go for it...if not pass on by Bathina!

Styling Products -Aveda - Hang Straight [DISCONTINUED]
rated 2 of 5

Not much good stuff to say about this one. 1. Smell is strange and strong. 2. Cap would often get clogged and I would have to run warm water just to get it unclogged. 3. God help you if you put too much in. Your hair ain't never gonna look right ;) Unless you like that greasy wet look. Overall a bust and too expensive anyway!

Lotions/ Creams -Ahava - Advanced Hand Cream
rated 5 of 5
schluh 7/8/2005 5:43:00 PM

Truthfully the ugliest packaging in my collection but a great line and a great product. At my previous job I had access to MANY hand lotions and this is the one that all the girls used. Great for guys due to the basic smell and love the quick absorbtion but soothing affect. Only for really problematic hands but if you are at the end of your chain choose this. The only way to improve would be to add sunscreen!

Eye Makeup Remover -Ahava - Advanced eye make up remover
rated 4 of 5
schluh 7/8/2005 5:40:00 PM

I had been using Mary Kay's EMUR but switched to this due to finding it on sale and the irritation I got from Mary Kay. This is not oily at all (a must for me) and really got the semi-water resistant mascara I wear off quick. It is a bit runny which is why I only gave it a 4. For the price you don't want it to guzzle out of your bottle onto the cotton ball. But no bad fragrance and no residue...will look for it onsale again!

Brows -Awake - Stardom Eye Brow
rated 5 of 5
schluh 7/8/2005 5:38:00 PM

Not sure if this is the same product everyone else has but mine is a typical brow pencil with a pipe cleaner like wand on the other end. I use mine in blonde but it comes in brown and abergine (redish brown) too. I LOVE the color since it is the only blonde I have found that looks natural even under my sparse areas. The wand also helps if you got a little crazy by acting as a blender, brush and eraser! This line is pricy but so is having bad brows.
