This is the best moisturizer i have EVER used! this is perfect for my dry sensitive skin. aba/bha's dry me out as well (and therefore don't work as well) but if i use this moisturizer afterwards, my skin is glowing. i don't use retinols, but i imagine this would be perfect for their drying effect. i live in the high desert, and always need good moisturizer. HG HG! This beats out all the other H/E, $$$ creams i have tried, from la mer to la prairie! even eucerin. can't wait to repurchase
I was really excited to try this product, as I had a good experience at a local spa w/ a jurlique facial. I thought, compared to the price of the full size products, this was well priced kit. i have been using it for approx 3 wks. i have sensitive combo-dry skin. I really like the cleanser. I had been using philosophy purity w/ my clarisonic, and i like the replenishing cleanser much better. it doesn't dry out my skin at all. my skin feels cleeeean. The toner is nothing special. there is no lavender in the ingredients?!? my skin feels better w/ regular hydrosols as toners I think the herbal recover gel is ok. it is quite mattifying, and really dries out my skin. it does contain a LOT of alcohol - which is probably why my skin dries out. I'm not sure if it is really doing anything for my skin? I do want to try the soothing herbal recovery gel, as it contains no alcohol, BUT the amount of sichuan peppercorn extract is not appealing The daily exfoliating cream is crap. i get better results w/ my own mix of almond powder, oat flour, and sugar. the moisturizer is quite heavy - and contains no sunscreen. it makes a good night time cream. in general i love the cleanser and the moisturizer. i ordered this from sephora, and i wondered if it had been sitting in a non-climate controlled warehouse for sometime, because the scents seemed off. i would like to try the other cleansers and moisturizers in this line, and perhaps the soothing HRG, but other than that, this stuff was crap. big disappointment considering the price.
Eyeliner -Calvin Klein - Electric Edge Liquid Eyeliner Pen (ALL)
scheda 4/17/2009 8:00:00 PM
I thought this pen liner was very very easy to apply - unlike lorac's which was a piece of !@#$%. However, I bought the brown color, and it barely showed up on my nc 35 skin, so back it goes. took one lippy off for terrible color payoff, but it might be the liner for you light skinned beauties.
I bought this in the olive green color. I love the liner - beautiful color and great staying power, easy texture to apply. I could do without the mascara part of this. This is not that different from the Kat VonD Proud peacock color, and I might purchase that next time just because i feel like I wasted half my money since i don't use the mascara
I have to say, I found my HG foundation. I've been wearing this for two days, and I love it. After moisturizer, I apply w/ a foundation brush, and it melts into the skin after a few minutes. Looks *flawless* I use #5 Honey, and its the best color match ever - better than other bb foundations. msbb. It does have a slightly powdery, but still dewy finish. Not cakey at all. A little goes a loooooooong way. I normally don't use a primer or finishing powder, but for those below who say the foundation got greasy, I would recommend that you try a primer or powder with this.

i am so disappointed in this product. its such a lovely olive/khaki green. but the the pen doesn't %$%#@ work! I flipped the tip over and everything. it really tugs at the skin on my eyelids. I do believe it will stay on for days if I don't remove it. but i can't apply it to begin with. this is going back tomorrow :(
First, i gotta say, i'm not a mac person. But this is the best highlighter i've ever tried. it works great for my ggg skin. just the right amount of yellow, right amount of shimmer, right amount of gold. if you've been trying highlighters, and they just don't show up, try this one!

I agree with the poster below that said the color range does not suit asian skin - what a disappointment! this does smooth out my skin, but the color is off, and it makes me break out :(
CD/Books/Movies -Unlisted Brand - Get Positively Beautiful - Carmindy

I really like this book much better than the first one. Although there are still pictures of Carmindy everywhere, she goes through each face feature one by one, and has about 15 makeover photos of women of all ages and race. She spends the first two chapters talking about how important it is to feel good about yourself and accept yourself. Lots of good tips in here that are not in the first book at all. Would definitely recommend reading this book at least once, not sure if its a page turner.
Skincare - Face -DDF - Glycolic 10% Exfoliating Oil Control Gel

I have been using this for two weeks. i got a generous sample at sephora. i have to say, this did not work as well as ptr's 10% glycolic/2%salycilic. i used this two nights on and one night off since i have sensitive skin. the formula is sticker than ptr's and doens't absorb as well. i did not see any significant difference in scarring, blackheads, or breakouts. did nothing for my hormonal acne - which ptr's reduced. my skin wasn't any brighter. so I will not be repurchasing this.

I received this in a swap, and I think the colors really work on my medium olive skin tone - the shades make a fantastic highlighter. I tried to highlight my cheek bones with this also, and this made me get small millia on the cheeks. Also, i think its too shimmery for the cheeks, so I'll use this on eyes only. I am also curious about gold glow.

I have been using this product for about two weeks. I got a very generous sample from sephora. I have sensitive skin, so I use it two nights on and one night off. After applying at night, I let it set for about 20 min, then massage in a night moisturizer. This has really been a great skin brightener! My face is absolutely glowing. I am thinking of ditching foundation. my skin so much softer than before. I have also been using heavy duty sunscreen along with it, and have found no probs from sun exposure. This has also kept hormonal acne at bay and helped with scarring. My blackheads have reduced by 60%. My skin has never looked better. This is waaaaaaaaaaay better than bliss' sleeping peel serum (that burned like crazy, and did NOTHING!) I still want to try DDF's 10% glycolic/2% salycylic gel, which the SA said was the exact same, and probably better. So I will update after two weeks of using that. UPDATE: this works better than DDF's exact same formula.
I loved everything about this blush, except for the fact that it wore off after two hours! eek! I was so surprised that this actually looked great on my medium olive skin tone. Its like a whole new world of blush shades are now open for me. But I'm need it to last on my combo skin! This looks great, but failed in lasting power. :( I will have to find another blush.

Although I have medium olive skin, and this shade barely shows up, its a fantastic highlighter. I use it on my brow bone, inner corner of the eye, and top of the cheekbones to highlight. It highlights so well, that I hardly need any other make up! I love the way it lasts all day, doesn't get oily, doesn't break me out. I wouldn't be able to use this shade for anything else, but its hard to find a good highlight shade for my skin tone to begin with. This is it!
Blush -Bobbi Brown - Pot Rouge for Lips and Cheeks in Milk Chocolate
scheda 10/20/2008 4:07:00 PM
This is one of my first blushes ever. I have medium olive skin, and this looks so perfect on me. It doesn't look like a bronzer at all - it looks like my face is flush and healthy. I put a little on the apples of my cheeks with my fingers. It lasts forever, looks totally natural. I have a feeling the pot is going to last forever, because a little goes a long way! I really recommend this for medium olive skin tones, and it seems that most of the reviews on this support that.
