Fragrances -Victoria's Secret - Good Day Sunshine Sheer Fragrance Mist
saygrace 3/20/2013 11:17:00 AM
I really like this! Not love, though as I feel like it's not a very unique one. This smells like warm sunshine if that could smell like anything. I like that this is just a teensy bit fruity. It's more powdery-floral I think. This reminds me of BBW Forever Sunshine but I slightly prefer that one because of the citrusy smell. Nevertheless, I still really really like this! I would've given this a 4 but one thing I really hate about this is it doesn't stay long! Does that have anything to do with being a "sheer fragrance". I still don't get what those are, by the way. I said I won't buy this product again but it doesn't mean I don't like the smell of it. Just, what's the point if it doesn't last? I don't regret my bottle, though cause I got it at a discount. I'll just stick to BBW Forever Sunshine after I finish my current bottle :)
Would I buy this product again? A thousand times yes! Just a disclaimer, I'm from the Philippines and this is a Filipino product but that doesn't mean I'm promoting this for some other reason that because I 100% believe in this product. Pros: - 100% natural, yay! - smells nice - moisturizes well - doesn't break me out - I wake up with smooth skin Cons: - none at all Human Heart Nature also has a day moisturizer and I use that as well and that one has a con for me for it doesn't have spf. Since this is a night time moisturizer, I don't really need spf. Both their moisturizers are such HG products for me I'm kind of afraid they'll discontinue them as they did this with a lot of their old products :( If you're looking for an all-natural moisturizer that does the job and is soooo affordable, you should try this. I think they sell to the US and other countries through their website.
BEST MOISTURIZER EVER! Pros: - 100% Natural, no silicones and other nasty ingredients - smells nice - moisturizes really well - no breakouts! Cons: - no spf (but it's fine by me since I use a bb cream with spf anyway) I'm from the Philippines and this is a Filipino product but I swear I won't give it 5 lippies if it didn't deserve it. You should definitely give it a try. It's cheap too! Those in US and other countries can purchase their products on their website. *note: I have read reviews on their website and a few people say their face sweats upon applying this. I do get that but just sometimes when it's hot. I live in a relatively cool area so this isn't really a problem to me :)
Cleansers -Skinfood - Green Tea Milk Cleansing Gel
saygrace 3/19/2013 12:06:00 PM
I bought this thinking it was a facial wash kinda gel. Apparently not. Like the previous reviewer said, this is more like a pre-cleansing cleanser / makeup remover. Totally do not need this. I remove makeup using sunflower or grapeseed oil and they're very effective. However, it's great for when I'm too tired to wash my face at night but I need to remove the minimal makeup I wear/just clean my face. I put some on a cotton ball, wipe and leave it on! Doesn't dry my face out, no breakouts either. Overall, great to have a product like this around
BB Cream -Skinfood - Peach Sake Pore BB Cream SPF20 PA+ (Shade 02)
saygrace 3/19/2013 11:37:00 AM
I've been using shade no. 2 for years now. I'm sure it's not the best bb cream out there but this doesn't break me out and I'm afraid to try something different that would. PROS: - smells nice - light coverage - oxidizes to my natural skin tone - does not break me out/ irritate my skin - it doubles as my sunblock CONS: - doesn't help with oil control - light coverage (a problem when I have something to cover up) It's just a strictly OK bb cream. No high praises, no miraculous claims. I gave it a 4 because it has what I look for. It gives me that natural look. Other bb creams make me look so white/there are no shades that match. Also, the main thing I look for, like I said earlier, is that it doesn't break me out. Minus 1 lippie for the non oil control.
Fragrances -Bath and Body Works - P.S. I Love You Spring Fling

Smells ok. I feel like I've smelled something like this before. Very generic floral. Kinda strong, Very forgettable. It's a decent floral, though. And since it's discontinued, I'm sure those looking for an affordable, everyday aquatic floral scent can benefit from when BBW puts this up on sale. A reviewer below mentioned smelling something plastic. You do get that upon spraying but it goes away later on. I bought this with gap grass and I tried layering it with that... grass first and then this on top, and it smelled better! I also tried spraying this on one hand and gap grass on the other and I smelled like a garden. Really, I like this one but only 3 stars as it's so common and I can find better florals out there.
Aaaah... this smells great! It doesn't just smell of grass, though. It smells of soil and bananas as well. Not complaining! I can't believe I have just came across gap grass just now. I loooove it so much I can't stop smelling myself! I bought this online along with PS I Love You Spring Fling from Bath and Body Works and I tried layering them on today and it was amazing! Grass first then Spring Fling. Another time, I sprayed this on one wrist and Spring Fling on the other and I just smell like a garden :)
I'm not exactly a fan of celeb perfumes, nor of Katy Perry, nor of cats, nor of coconut smells but... Surprise! Surprise! I love this! For some reason, the repulsion I feel for that dreaded fruit was not felt when I got a sample of this. Pretty simple smell, not very unique as I've smelled similar ones before. But I do love it. It's warm and sexy but not in a trying-to-be-sexy kinda way. Cute bottle as well! Overall, pleasantly surprised!
Wow, this is as floral as you can get! I get why this was named "Marry Me!". I picture wedding day, flowers everywhere, excitement, love in the air, that sort of stuff. This smells great! It's really nice and romantic. But romantic in a we're-out-on-a-daytime-date-in-public kinda thing. Not the we've-been-together-for-a-while-cuddle-cuddle kind. However, This is my mom's new perfume. Ha! At 60, she has no business wearing something that says, "Marry Me!" But she loves it and I love it on her. I think the name might pose limitations on potential buyers since I think this can be for a lady of any age :) She came upon this because of me and I'm looking forward to the day she buys this on her own and the cashier person looks at her in a weird way. :P I have to say, though, that even if I think the name is limiting, it had the opposite effect on me as some of the people below. Got me curious. :)
Looks like I'm in the minority here but I have to say this smells cheap, synthetic and sour. Like alcohol + floral notes + citrus fruits that have gone bad. Some of you might say, "Well, that's what you get for buying from Victoria's Secret!" But come on, they do have decent ones. This is just not one of them. Now, there are perfumes you don't like on yourself but like on others. Well, this isn't one of those either :P
Because of winterberry, Like VS Merry Merry Pink, I have a love-hate relationship with this one. I know I'm in the minority here but I don't love this. I don't hate it, though because there are days when I actually like it. I guess I'm just really not a big fan of winterberry. I don't get the vanilla that some people smell in this. But others are right on when they said it's very light and powdery. I picture a young lady, quiet, shy, very feminine, mild-mannered, and simple. So yeah, not really me. I won't get rid of my bottle, it's pretty. :) Plus, I have tried layering it with VS Pink Pretty & Pure and they actually balance out nicely!
Just got this one as a gift! According to the bottle, the notes are vanilla and musk. From the bottle, the product smells great! I thought it reminded me of VS Sweet Craving. Upon initial spray, the product kinda smelled somewhat offensive. But then after a minute, it settled into a lovely warmer and sexier version of the whiff from the bottle. So yeah, I love it. I also searched for my bottle of Sweet Craving just to check if I was right with the association, but then it smelled distinctly different. Sweet Craving is more sweet and gourmand. But both are complementing scents and the other still reminds me of the other. I still couldn't shake off the feeling that I've had a similar scent before. I rummaged through my closet to find the one and it came close to A LOT of them. That's when realized that this scent, although great-smelling, is an indistinguishable and somehow common one so I had to take a lippie off. Nevertheless, I LOVE IT. Considering this is a body mist, sillage and Longevity are pretty good and are actually longer compared to other VS scents. I'll definitely buy when I run out if it's still available.
Fragrances -Victoria's Secret - PINK with a Splash- Soft and Dreamy
saygrace 11/8/2012 11:54:00 PM
I don't think it smells like BBW Cherry Blossom even a little. Had that, hated that. Soft & Dreamy smells so great, sometimes I even spray this on a piece of tissue and I keep smelling the tissue like an idiot. The scent makes me feel like I'm entering a bakeshop! At first spray, you kinda smell the alcohol but it goes away after around 8 seconds and it settles into something sweet, cozy, home-y, kinda like VS Warm & Cozy. I love both fragrances. I think the difference is this is slightly more sugary sweet than Warm & Cozy. But still, about 90% similar. I prefer Warm & Cozy, though. But only by a slight margin. I also noticed that after a while, the meringue is more prominent. Lasting power isn't that great with this one. Then again, I only have the body mist version :)
Lotions/ Creams -Bath and Body Works - Plumeria Moisture-Rich Body Lotion
saygrace 11/8/2012 10:46:00 PM
Smell is too strong, goes funky during hot weather or when sweating. Consistency is too heavy and sticky. overall, there are better lotions out there. I like the smell, though when first applied, but not long after the initial whiff, you get something sickly sweet. I know this is one of their old ones and is I think discontinued now (at least in the stores). I heard BBW has improved their lotions now.
I agree with flyingfish below that this is how a vampire would smell like. Don't get me wrong. I like it. I think it's sexy in a slightly morbid kind of way. Kinda like a bottle straight out of Morticia Adams' wardrobe. I think the people who like this scent might be best friends with people who like Demeter Funeral Home. :) I want to but I don't think I'm brave enough to use this. This honestly scares the bejesus out of me whenever I smell it. I always feel like there's a vampire coming or the ghost of my dead relative is just right behind me. I'm not even exaggerating when I say that my heart races when I smell this. I watch too many movies. I won't throw away mine, though. I'll keep it for when I need to channel my inner Morticia. Well, since it's Halloween, it's in season I guess :)
