Styling Products -Got 2 Be - POWDER'ful Volumizing Styling Powder

Volumizes and texturizes. It transforms my layered bob. I wouldn't be without it. Price depends on where I purchase it, but it's worth it. I wish I could see through the container to know when I'm running out. Otherwise, I'm more than satisfied.

Styling Products -TRESemme - Instant Heat Tamer Spray
sassymck 11/12/2012 11:12:00 AM
It smells okay. It sprays all over my face and my bathroom floor though. Everyone's feet are sliding all over because of it. It has no alcohol and leaves my hair smooth after heat styling. My hair is not weighed down and not crunchy as with some others. It is priced comparably. I spray some before blow drying and again before flat ironing. It does dampen my hair a bit, so I need to wait a few minutes before straightening. I'd have to say that of the drug store products I've tried, it's one of the best, if not the best. The only thing I hate about it is how it sprays everywhere.

Treatments -Moroccanoil - Morrocan Oil Treatment
sassymck 11/12/2012 11:06:00 AM
Reduces greatly amount of hair lost during combing, blow drying, and straightening. Smells good. Does not weigh down my fine, healthy hair. Absorbs instantly. Smoothes hair. The pump makes for easy dispensing. I use it daily on towel dried hair before styling to keep it healthy. No pulling when I use the flat iron. It is costly, but you hardly use any. I use one or two pea-sized drops for hair just above my shoulders. John Frieda serum is just as expensive and doesn't work nearly as well. People say beware of silicones. I am careful not to overuse them because I have such fine hair, but if I go silicone free, my hair looks and feels a mess. Whatever ingredients they have combined in this oil is a mixture my hair loves.

Conditioner -Nexxus - Sublime Volume
sassymck 10/18/2012 11:59:00 AM
It's my new HG. It gives me great volume while detangling and smoothing. It's not heavy yet does deliver weightless moisture. I have new hairs that are unruly; it tames them without leaving my hair greasy. It's a very light conditioner, so I don't know how it would be for damaged hair. My hair can be dry as it is curly, yet this is ample. I just have to make sure not to scrimp too much on the amount I use. It's not as expensive as other salon products I use, and I can find it in my drug store which is nice. It smells pleasant--not overpowering at all even on my migraines. I will never use anything else!!!

Conditioner -TRESemme - Smooth and Silky Vitamin H and Silk Proteins

This would be great for thick, dry, course, or damaged hair. It weighs down my fine, dense hair. It does make it smooth and silky though, but the ends flip all over from being too heavy. I also have mixed feelings about all the silicone in it even if I did have the right hair type. I would say it delivers its promise if you have the right hair type. I'd likely buy it again then. I switched to a volumizing shampoo of the salon type and have finally had success. It's not for me but might be for you. Just make sure it's what your hair needs and isn't too much. It's very heavy--but not greasy. If there's such a thing, this made my hair too soft. It wouldn't hold my style.

Conditioner -Schwarzkopf - Bonacure repair conditioner

This stuff is loaded with silicone oils which result in greasy hair after a few uses. It will weigh your hair down and coat it in these oils. My hair would not even dry after several uses of it. It smells awful too--overpowering. Maybe good for severely damaged hair that is thick but no good for my dry but fine, thin, curly hair. I have found it is better to condition with natural ingredients, like shea. After my hair began to turn out terrible, I Googled these oils and learned that my experience with them is typical. You really need the right kind of hair to use this product. Pump is nice, and that is all that I find good about it. It's going on my shelf of never-to-use again products.

Styling Products -Aussie - Instant Freeze spray
sassymck 7/4/2012 1:34:00 PM
This makes my hair stick to my clothes and pulls out the curl that way. My hair is full of knots and as dry as hay after I wash it the next morning. Smells nice and is inexpensive but won't be using it again. The volumizing spray is better--a bit less hold but not so full of alcohol that it kills your hair.

Styling Products -TiGi - Curlesque Catwalk Curl Collection Curls Rock Amplifier: Cream to define & separate

I was at first in love with the silicones, but then my hair dried out badly and got greasy and weighed down. It wouldn't even dry. It felt coated in wax. I have abandoned silicones. Macademia Curl Cream is all natural and healthy for my hair. I've switched. This product is going on the shelf for a time of desperation.
