Cleansers -The Body Shop - Aloe Calming Facial Cleanser

I use this to remove my make up and then a separate facial wash to clean the skin. It's soft and pleasant smelling and doesn't cause any skin irritation. It could do with better packaging as it becomes difficult to squeeze out the bottle. I solve this minor problem by storing it upside down. The trick to this is to really massage it into the skin - really, really massage it! then wash off with warm water and a cotton wash cloth. Using cotton pads is simply hopeless.
Very natural colour and smells divine. Last well too! Without doubt the best bronzer I've tried.
The packing on this product is cheap and nasty. It's very difficult to prise open. The tweezers are utterly hopeless and found their way to the bin very quickly. The brushes are ok for applying the wax but a normal sized angled brush is better for daily use. The shadow is a good match to my very dark brown colouring and the wax holds errant hairs in place very well. It stays put well throughout the day. The product itself performs well but the shocking quality of the packaging make you feel you've been had. Benefit would need to re-package it, improve the cracker-quality tweezers, and substantially lower the price for me to consider re-purchasing.
Despite the hype, I was rather disappointed with these pallets. Though highly pigmented, I find they becone rather muddy when blended with a brush. They perform much better on a sponge applicator and pressed onto the lids over a higher quality base shadow. More matt shades please.
I read the reviews of this and went to purchase the medium tint. Well, all I can say is that it's fantastic. Cancels out my dark areas flawlessly. Creamy, melts into the skin and doesn't get greasy like many under-eye concealers. I apply with a brush and pat in with my finger tips. Very small amount required. Pretty expensive but is going to go on forever and ever...
Love this mascara. I have repurchased several times and will continue to do so. The wand provides quick, clump-free application. The formula is thin enough to define and separate the lashes beautifully. Having very long eyelashes, I find it hard to find a mascara that doesn't lengthen too much. It dries quickly so if you wanted to use multiple layers, you could end up in a bit of a mess. Two quick coats is enough and the job's done. This one is just the ticket.
While I like this when I first put it on, I find that it isn't very moisturising and can make my lips look a bit dull. I prefer a rather more glistening look - like you get with Palmers mint chocolate balm. Smells lovely and tingles a bit. Love the tin which never seems to cease up. This is often the reason why other tin based lip balms end up in the bin. That said, its a pretty good base under lipstick and definitely woks better if you warm it the palm of you hand before applying. I also suspect it causes the pores around my lips to block up a bit. I would buy it again as it is a handy size and easy to find in my handbag.
I went to the local counter to get a sample of this. A very generous sample! It lasted about two weeks. I apply it with a round foundation brush and find it really does give a great effect. Very buildable coverage and doesn't oxidise. Hurray! I lasts pretty well, except round the nose (where my annoying drippy nose needs regular blowing!) but this is easily touched up with a powder compact. Doesn't break me out and neither does it go oily throughout the day. A great find and a very natural colour. Bought a full sized bottle well before the sample ran out.
I bought this is 008 Sassy which is a metalic soft brown colour. I've read complaints about the texture of the product not being a mousse and see what they mean. Its rather more dense than than a mousse, a bit gel-like and a bit paint pot like. That said, I quite like the texture and you need such a tiny amount for a really deep colour. If it doesn't dry out, it will last for ages. Make sure that lid is tight! I apply it with a flat eyeshadow brush and it goes on easily, smoothly and doesn't budge all day. You need to move quickly though as it sets fast. It's great used with an angled brush as an eyeliner too. It's a thumbs up!
Eye Shadow -Rimmel - Color Rush Duo Eye Shadow in 514 Metallic Pearls

This eyeshadow duo is awful. Very little pigment meaning that all you get is a light sparkle on the eyes. The shadow is dry, difficult to blend and frankly rather pointless. This one's going in the bin. Very disappointing.
Beautifully pigmented shades that I can create lots of looks with. Great for a natural day look, smokey eye or dramatic evening look. The neutral colours mean that you can wear with any outfit. They blend easily and don't crease. Colour stays true and stays put all day. I don't like the applicators but then, I never do! I would re-purchase but as it seemingly lasts forever, it will be a while before I need to.
Mascara -Unlisted Brand - Une Casual Volume Mascara

I have very long lashes which should be a blessing. It can be a curse in today's world of fake lashes and volumising and lengthening mascaras. It's hard to find one that just plain, simple and black. I love this mascara. It goes on smoothly, doesn't clump and lasts all day. No annoying flakiness and claims to condition the lashes which It seems to do. No problem with smudging and it doesn't irritate my contact lenses. Comes off cleanly and easily with an oil free eye makeup removee.
Grrrhhh. Another annoyingly "sticky" gloss with very little pigment. Wears off quickly leaving lips dry and covered in mini glitter particles. Very unattractive.
Smells lovely and applies really well. I was really happy with the coverage and application. Packing is very hygienic. However, this product oxidised on my skin. I bought shade 53 and it turned quite orangey by lunchtime. I also developed quite a few unsightly whiteheads on my jawline after three or four days (only on one side though. Odd?) Not sure if it was the product or something else that caused it. Anyway, I won't repurchase. Shame. I really wanted to like this.
Lip Treatments -Palmers - Cocoa Butter Dark Chocolate & Peppermint Lip Butter

Smells absolutely divine and glides on beautifully. Not tested on animals. I keep this with me all day. It's great on its own with a bit of nude lip-liner and give a beautiful glossy look without the sticky feeling that I hate in lip glosses. I use it over lipstick too instead of gloss and, rather than re-apply the lippy, I just pop on more of the lip butter throughout the day. Love it. Absolutely the best lip balm I've tried.
