Eye Shadow -MAC - Naked Lunch

Pale girls beware! I wanted to like this eyeshadow so bad ... the formulation is really nice, and all the swatches online made the colour seem beautiful. But when I went and swatched it on my hand, the colour just looked terrible, and completely different than what I was expecting. For reference, I am extremely pale (MAC NW/NC15 is too dark for me), and on me naked lunch swatched as a darker goldish/ pinkish shade .... not at all what I was expecting. I gave the shade 3 lippies because on others it's a beautiful shade, and I loved the texture. Just maybe avoid this one if you are super fair and give Shroom a try instead.

I held off on buying the official beauty blender cleaner for a long time because I was convinced I could find something else that would keep my sponge clean for cheaper. After trying a bunch of different things (regular soap, face wash, baby shampoo, brush cleaner, etc), I broke down and bought the cleanser. I was looking for the liquid cleanser, but this is the only one they had at my sephora, so I decided to give it a shot. I actually can't believe how well it works ... the foundation stains on my sponge pretty much disappeared after one use, and it actually felt clean Pros: - lathers nicely - very travel friendly - does an amazing job at cleaning the beauty blender - quick, easy, and mess free to use Cons: - expensive for a simple cleanser - first few times you use it, also see some of the pink colouring from the sponge wash out in the dirty water Overall, I would recommend this in a heartbeat. It makes my sponge look and feel cleaner than any other cleanser i've tried, and it's gentle on the sponge.

I love love love my beauty blender. It's been the only thing that applies my MUFE Mat Velvet + foundation without it looking super heavy and streaky. I just wish the beauty blender was a little less expensive/ lasted longer. I just dab my foundation all over my face, and then stipple until everything blends in really nicely.

Primer/ Corrector -Urban Decay - All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray

I love this product! At first I was on the fence about it, but then I started using it on a daily basis. I spray it all over my face after I finish putting my makeup on. It takes away any cakiness that might happen if I put on too much power, and helps my makeup last all through a work day. Have yet to try this is the summer, but I imagine it will help makeup from sliding really well. I love the new packaging as well ... the new label looks much sleeker than the old one.

I love this colour as an overall wash on the lid. The texture is smooth, and for the price, it's really good quality. The colour isn't anything unique that you couldn't find in any other brand, but it is pretty good quality, and looks great on.

Primer/ Corrector -Quo - Foundation Primer

I really like this primer. It's about half the price of the Smashbox primer, and I actually like this one better. It doesn't feel as oily on your skin, and really helps your makeup last.

Highlighters -Revlon - ColorStay Mineral Finishing Powder - Brighten [DISCONTINUED]

This looks really pretty in the pan, and it works great to brighten up the face. I do wish the packaging was slightly more compact and travel friendly, but for the amount of product you get, I can't complain. I've had this for 4 months, and it doesn't even look like a dent has been made in the product. Overall, great highlighter, and I would recommend this to anyone with pale skin.

Pressed Powders -New York Color - Pressed Translucent Powder

This is a great pressed powder, and you can't beat the price. The powder might look chalky on those with darker skin tones, but on me it looks great, and works very well at setting undereye concealer.

Liquid -Revlon - PhotoReady Makeup

This is the greatest foundation I have ever used. I have it in shade 001 Ivory, and this is one of the few foundations that have a shade light enough to match my skin tone perfectly. It does have some glitter in it, but with a setting powder it is barely noticeable, and just makes your skin look like it's glowing. The only downside is that because of the glitter I would not recommend using this under your eyes, but apart from that, this foundation is amazing. It lasts all day over a primer without sliding, and the pump makes it very sanitary and travel friendly.

Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Blast Fusion

I used to use the original lash blast, but when this came out I thought I'd give it a shot. I'm happy to say that I like this a lot better! I have it in black-brown, which makes my lashes look amazing without being too intense. I've never experienced any migrating of the mascara either, which is something I've had problems with with other brands. The only complaint I have is that the formula seems to have changed slightly over the time I've had it, but I still love it, and will definitely re-purchase once my current tube is done.

Eye Shadow -Maybelline - Stylish Smokes in Natural Smokes

This is a great quad. I don't like heavy makeup looks, but with this quad you can create a nice smokey eye that isn't too intense. Also, with an eyeshadow base the colours last for hours with very little fallout, which is great considering how cheap the quad is.

This is my go - to every day eyeshadow quad! The colours blend well together, are not chalky, and with an eyeshadow base will last for hours. Also, the lid colour can double as a brow shade if you have brown or auburn hair, making this palette great for traveling. This is my favourite set out of all the eyeshadow Quads.

Eyeliner -Maybelline - Eye Studio Line Allure Liquid Eyeliner

This is a great drugstore alternative to the bobbi brown gel liner. I have this in brown, and although I find that you do have to layer this a few times to get a good colour, if you can find this on sale it is a decent price, and the product lasts for a long time (I've had mine for 4 months, and still have plenty left).

Mascara -Maybelline - Great Lash Clear

I use this as a brow gel instead of a mascara, but as a brow gel this is great. It doesn't last all day, but it keeps your eyebrow hairs in place fairly well, and it is a cheap alternative to the fancier brow gels. For the price, this product is great.

Cleansers -Aveeno - Ultra-Calming Foaming Cleanser

Overall, this is a pretty decent product. I have sensitive, acne - prone skin with mild rosea. I found the foaming cleanser to be gentle on my skin and made it feel soft and clean. If you notice that it seems to be drying your face out, try mixing the product with a little bit of water in your hand before you put it on your face. Using this every night tended to dry out my face a little, then I tried that method, and it made things much easier on my skin.
