I love some of Tom Ford's other scents, so wanted to give this a try, too. This perfume did not smell good on me at all. From initial sniff to final dry down, it was a very strong, powdery, vintage 1950's-type floral. Loved the packaging, but little else.
Fragrances -Unlisted Brand - Ciel Luscious Apricot

Ciel Luscious Apricot smells like fresh apricots but has a tinge of skin musk or maybe a touch of leather--sometimes the fresh fruit has these same notes. I like this on its own, and it also has great potential for layering with other perfumes.
Fragrances -Unlisted Brand - 13 Gypsies - Day of The Dead

Frankincense, marigold and sugar are the listed notes in this perfume oil from 13 Gypsies. I smell light liturgical incense plus fresh flower petals from the marigold, with a tiny bit of violin bow rosin. The flowers don't smell sweet or have a strong odor, but lend more of a fresh plant smell to the blend, lifting up the resin incense and lightening it.
Fragrances -Estee Lauder - Sensuous Velvet Body Creme

Love, love, love this body creme! I like Sensuous anyway, but the body creme texture is wonderful, and in this product you can smell more of the tangerine topnote which hangs around longer.
I was disappointed with this new Sensuous flanker. The top note is all lily of the valley, then as the perfume dried down, I smelled a mild skin musk with a bit of sandalwood--it was the perfume equivalent of bland beige. It is not awful, just without a lot of personality. I much prefer the original Sensuous and to a lesser degree, the second flanker, Sensuous Noir. Nude is inoffensive, but I want more from a perfume than that.
I thought I would really like Futur, as I am fond of green florals, but it smells old-fashioned in a dated way. I'm not sure if it is heavy on aldehydes, but it has a distinctly perfume-y, chemical type odor that I find off-putting.
I just started using the Nu-Derm line and I'm pretty skeptical at this point. All I've gotten so far is redness, irritation and terrible breakouts to a degree I haven't had since high school. I can't stand the texture of the Clear and Blender--they're occlusive and heavy. I think this was a mistake. . . .
While waiting in line at a car rental place in San Francisco last spring, I stood behind a guy wearing this. I could have smelled him all day! Grapefruit, mineral, woody, fantastic. I don't think there are any scents by the great J-C Ellena that I haven't liked, except for the Kelly one. Have purchased this for myself, as Masculine / Feminine categories for scents are just silly: wear what you like that smells good!
Clair de Musc is a lovely, soft skin musk with some initial floral overtones. It quickly dried down on me to a powdery white musk. I got this as a free sample, and can't imagine purchasing a full bottle, not because it isn't a very pretty fragrance, but because it just doesn't stand out in the crowd: for the kind of money that Serge Lutens fragrances cost, I want something that is unusual. This isn't it--I'll stick with Alyssa Ashley White Musk to satisfy my soft musk jones, and spend the serious money on other Lutens scents, such as Daim Blond or Arabie.
I like this perfume, but on me it does not smell fresh nor green AT ALL; instead on my skin Stargazer is dark fruits (plums, cherries, pomegranates) with a mildly licorice undercurrent. Very different, and nice for winter.
A happy junior high school girl perfume--fresh and fruity, but doesn't last long, and is a bit too juvenile in my advanced age (>40).
I hate this as a lip treatment, but love it as a perfume oil: it is a very earthy green but floral scent.
I've purchased several oils from The Fragrance Shop, and the quality is very good. I particularly like that I can buy a big sample of anything they sell before committing to a full-sized bottle. I love their True Gardenia. Their versions of favorites such as Creed Spring Flowers, YSL Baby Doll and Annick Goutal Eau d'Hadrien are fantastic.

This surprised me--it is such a green rose. Very fresh!
I like this tuberose scent better than any I've tried except for the hard-to-find Annick Goutal Tubereuse, which is my absolute favorite. The DSH perfume is very creamy due to the mimosa and beeswax notes. It's a subtle sexy scent.
