Mascara -Maybelline - Great Lash Mascara
sameenelahi821 9/16/2012 1:37:00 AM
This mascara has zero separation power. Your lashes will be glued together, and by the end of the day, people will probably be asking you if you slept the night before thanks to the glorious dark circles it'll put under your eyes. Really not worth it at all unless you want to look like a fourth grader who did their makeup in the dark. Easily the worst mascara I ever tried.

Treatments -Aussie - 3 Minute Miracle
sameenelahi821 9/16/2012 1:19:00 AM
I use this once a week on my fine hair. I shampoo, wring out my hair, and apply it halfway down my hair to the ends, thoroughly coating it. Then I twist it into a low bun and wait about ten minutes, then rinse it out with cold water. Overall, I'm really pleased with the results - I read on here that it truly was a miracle product as long as you use it for longer than three minutes and such, and that was absolutely true. Don't waste your time using it for three minutes. You have to really leave it in. I've heard of people leaving it in overnight in a shower cap, something I'm planning to do soon. This product isn't going to keep your hair fantastic forever, and some people may need to use it more than once a week, but I think I've figured out my routine pretty well with it. The trick is to just figure out how often you need to use it and how long you need to use it for. The thing is, I tend to use a lot of it at a time because I like to really saturate my hair, so it's running out pretty quickly. On the other hand, it's pretty cheap, so I don't mind too much. I think it's a great alternative for high-end deep conditioners, considering the ones I tried really didn't have the same great effect this one does. Definitely recommended!

Lip Treatments -Nivea - A Kiss of Moisture
sameenelahi821 1/30/2012 3:11:00 PM
This lip balm is incredibly moisturizing, but Ireally didn't appreciate how greasy the consistency was. It seemed great at first but after a while it just feels like a layer of grease. Since I have oily skin, I did not like the feeling the balm gave me

Highlighters -Physicians Formula - Virtual Face Powder in Translucent Pearl
sameenelahi821 1/29/2012 11:30:00 PM
I have sort of tawny skin, and especially in the summer I simply cannot get this to give me any sort of highlight or glow. I just don't see how it works! No matter how much I wipe at the pan with my brush or my face with my brush I just can't get the pretty, shiny glow the color of the makeup suggests. Maybe I'm using it wrong or my skin is just the wrong color, but I'm pretty sure I've tried everything. I'm going to have to keep trying, though, because the price was ridiculous and I'm determined not to have wasted my money. The packaging also sucked. The plastic top of the compact literally just broke off. The brush it came with was also more or less useless. Never buying again. /:

Concealers -Revlon - PhotoReady Concealer SPF 20
sameenelahi821 1/29/2012 11:20:00 PM
This concealer provides pretty decent coverage for skin that isn't too acne-prone and blends well. I wouldn't recommend it to my twelve-year-old self, however - it's absolutely not for people with a huge amount of blemishes. It's creamy and you only need to use a little to cover up acne scars, redness, mild acne, whatever! It lasts fairly long, and doesn't result in obnoxious oily patches like some cheaper concealers. I think I'll be buying this for a long time to come. It matches my PhotoReady foundation perfectly as well, so I never have to worry about someone pointing at my face and being like, "Dude, what's on your face?!" It's great. (: I don't really like using it as an under-eye concealer though, it makes me look pretty cake-faced. Maybe that's because my under-eye circles aren't as bad as I think? Otherwise, I'm pretty sure I'm turning into a junkie for this concealer. Excellent for people who are more or less happy with their skin and just need some touch-ups to their complexion.

Moisturizers -Neutrogena - Combination Skin Moisture Oil Free
sameenelahi821 1/29/2012 11:15:00 PM
Absolutely perfect for my combination skin - keeps the dry parts well-moisturized and doesn't feel like I'm rubbing glue into the oily parts. My only objection is that it's hard to find and is $10. But I don't think I'll ever switch moisturizers because the product is honestly worth every penny. I use this every morning after Clean & Clean Morning Burst facial cleanser, and it leaves my skin feeling lovely. A price cut would be appreciated though!

Eye Makeup Remover -Wet 'n' Wild - eye make-up remover
sameenelahi821 1/29/2012 11:12:00 PM
Though I sort of liked the smell, it's got an oily, hard-to-remove consistency and it hurt my eyes. I mean you shouldn't have to try to *remove* your eye makeup *remover*, and at that, you shouldn't have to do it in tears. Not recommended. /:

Lip Gloss -L'Oreal - Le Gloss- Saucy Mauve #155
sameenelahi821 1/29/2012 11:00:00 PM
I'm not a fan of lip gloss and don't wear it often, but when I do bother I don't think I'd wear anything but this one. It's not sticky at all and instead of feeling like I've got a layer of glue on my lips, it makes my lips feel soft and comfortable. However, I wouldn't recommend using it on dry lips OR if you've just applied lip balm. Just somewhere in the middle, otherwise it looks glassy and unnatural.

Cleansers -Clean & Clear - Morning Burst Facial Cleanser
sameenelahi821 1/29/2012 10:56:00 PM
This is what I use in the morning to remove my anti-acne product and any oil from when I was sleeping. I'm really groggy in the morning and I must say, it doesn't do much to improve my morning or wake me up, but it does clean my face off and without it I highly doubt I'd be comfortable putting makeup on or even leaving the house. It's great for just starting off the day with clean, refreshed skin. It also improves my complexion and leaves me with a light tingly feeling. I do need to use an oil-free moisturizer right after, but the combination of the two products leaves me feeling wonderful. Alone, however, I think my skin would feel like paper for a while and get significantly more oily than usual throughout the day.

Scrubs -Clean & Clear - Deep Action Exfoliating Scrub - Oil-Free
sameenelahi821 1/29/2012 10:53:00 PM
Absolutely perfect for anyone with insanely oily skin! I don't care how oily your skin is, after using this you will feel like you were born again!! It's perfect. It's got these little exfoliating beads that leave absolutely NOTHING on your face, and it gives you a cool, tingly feeling that really makes you feel refreshed. I use this before bed to take off makeup and if you apply an acne-clearing product after it and wash it off in the morning, I absolutely guarantee that your skin will look a hundred times better in no time. If anyone is on the fence between this cleanser and the cream version - DO NOT buy the cream one! This one knocks the cream out of the park. It will forever be my nighttime skin cleansing product.

Cleansers -Clean & Clear - Deep Action Cream Cleanser
sameenelahi821 1/29/2012 10:49:00 PM
I have oily skin, and figured the "Deep Cleansing" properties advertised would help me out. Turns out buying this was a huge mistake. It left some weird residue on my face and I never felt clean no matter how much I used it. The consistency is terrible and it just feels like I'm rubbing more oil on my face. Definitely not a good choice for oily skin. If you have sensitive, dry skin, maybe this is a better choice for you, but for those of you with oily or combination skin - absolutely not worth it.

Bronzers -Milani - Baked Bronzer in Soleil
sameenelahi821 1/29/2012 10:42:00 PM
I started using this bronzer recently and I've noticed a few things - one, it highlights my cheekbones beautifully. Two - it will probably never run out since there is just so MUCH in this package. However, there are a few things that really annoy me about it. 1. The glitter. There aren't necessarily chunks of glitter anywhere, but there are a few shiny bits that make it seem like I showered in craft glitter and it just looks ridiculous. 2. The packaging. A five year old kid managed to grab the bronzer out of my purse and drop it on the ground from two feet up, which resulted in the bed of the bronzer completely breaking off the compact. It's incredibly annoying to travel with now because it breaks into pieces in my makeup bag. Very irritating. 3. It doesn't blend well. The color tone is fantastic and I would absolutely love it if it just wasn't so shiny! The color is the reason why I keep using it, but next time I buy bronzer I will be looking for a color equivalent without so many sparkles. It's just too awkward when someone points out a shiny bit on my face, thinking it must be a craft accident.

Shampoo -Garnier - Body Boost
sameenelahi821 1/29/2012 10:30:00 PM
I've been using this shampoo for a while now and I have to say it's the first shampoo I've been 100% comfortable with. I have really oily roots and dry ends, and fine hair that's prone to tangling. It's not a good combination, but this shampoo does a great job of cleaning out my roots with a little lathering. If i just let it rinse off my ends, everything is totally clean and not only that, but it smells great and leaves a slight scent on my hair. Combined with a Garnier fortifying conditioner, my hair is manageable and light all day. The thing is, this shampoo isn't really a "Body Booster". It doesn't make my hair ANY more voluminous, and if I want body I use a spray gel or mousse. DO NOT by this with the desire to have huge hair after a day, week, month, or even a year of use. It won't happen. The advertising is basically a scam, but the shampoo is great if you just need something to wash out oily hair or product residue. PROS: - Vigorously cleans oily roots without a ton of scrubbing - Comes in a huge bottle that lasts a while - Hair feels lighter after drying CONS: - Need to use a bunch of it for my length. With a daily shampoo for my oily hair, it can run out quickly. - Can't scrub up ends because it will probably dry out - Doesn't really add "body" like the packaging says
