Shampoo -LUSH - I Love Juicy
rated 4 of 5

I guess I am one of the few who looooves the scent of this shampoo. It smells like skittles and starburst to me and I don't want to rinse it out. I feel like when I use it my hair has more body because it gets out all the gunk build-up. As others said though I wouldn't use it everyday since it gets drying.

Eyeliner -Revlon - Beyond Natural Defining Eye Pencil

I really love this pencil when i'm doing a quick look, usually with a shimmery cream eyeshadow. I haven't had problems with it smudging or fading when I put it over a shadow I've put on the lid. I have the plumberry color which is very flattering on me, does not look bruise-y. I just bought the buff color today.

Masks -LUSH - Cupcake Mask
rated 1 of 5

I tend to breakout often, so I thought this mask would help with that. I had used BB Seaweed and Mask of Magnaminty before using this one (and had liked those two). Cupcake was by far my least favorite. The smell was really cloying and nasty. Usually I am not sensitive to the smells of products (I use Herbalism daily and THAT smells) but this I could not stand. It also was super duper drying and made me breakout more, it seems. No good.

Cleansers -LUSH - Herbalism
rated 5 of 5

This has done so much for my skin. I use it in the morning and at night and I do not get pimples anymore (whereas I used to have cystic acne around my chin & lower jaw). It is a bit more time consuming since you have to add water to spread/massage it on, but it's worth it. The smell is something you get used to, I think it just smells like spices. I used to use Proactiv and it started failing so I switched to Cetaphil, which worked but did nothing for oiliness. Tried some others too like Exposed and Aveda Gel Cleanser. Finally I discovered Herbalism which cleared up my skin AND helped with oil production and redness.

Lipstick -L'Oreal - ColourJuice Stick in Berry Spritzer
rated 5 of 5

This color is really flattering. I stole it from my mom who also uses the color but has olive-y undertones. I absolutely do not, I'm very fair with pink undertones. I like to wear this when my eye make-up is light, to accentuate the lip color.

Shampoo -LUSH - The Blonde
rated 5 of 5
salt4yourwounds 9/29/2008 11:56:00 PM

I cut this bar up into 4 pieces, so it's easier to manage in the shower. When I first bought it, I didn't like that it made my hair feel squeaky clean after rinsing out (my conclusion was it was too drying). I stopped using it for quite some time. During that time, I switched between a couple shampoos like aveda's smooth infusion and paul mitchell's instant moisture. I found my hair getting more and more weighed down and a bit greasy. I tried switching up styling product since I thought that was the cause, but nothing fixed it. Finally I switched back to the LUSH bar. It's great at getting all the residue and product cleaned out of the hair, and my hair is bouncy and bright again.

Mascara -Rimmel - Glam Eyes

LOVED this mascara... everything about it. Volumizing, lengthening, does not make my lashes hard and stiff. Doesn't clump. I don't understand the nightmare reviews. Goes on nicely and fast since the wand makes it more error-proof.

Blush -L'Oreal - Bare Naturale Blush - Pinched Pink
rated 5 of 5
salt4yourwounds 9/25/2008 7:36:00 PM

Really really like this blush -- looks really good on my pink undertone skin. It looks very natural and it blends well. I don't know how I'm going to use it all since a use barely makes a dent in it. The one picture that I have uploaded in this account, I'm wearing it, and I think it shows nicely.

Liquid -Cargo - Foundation - Oil Free
rated 3 of 5
salt4yourwounds 9/25/2008 7:20:00 PM

I bought this product since I was looking for a new liquid foundation (my Prescriptives Virtual Skin was old old), for the days I want to look a little more "finished." I wanted to find something that was oil-free and wouldn't make me too shiny (which the Virtual Skin did a bit). Went to Sephora, the colors looked more yellow-based but the F-20 blended right in so I bought it. Right away in my first application I could tell the color and/or finish was not that flattering. Made my skin look dull, though it does blend in. My skin has pink undertones, sooo I would imagine it would not dull the skin of someone with yellow undertones. It also did not help with my oiliness, I get oilier with this than the Virtual Skin. Even my Prescriptives AnyWear Compact (which is used when I have no time) makes me look nicer than the Cargo Oil-Free. Basically, if you have yellow undertones and normal or dry skin, this would probably work well. But I'm going to go for Prescriptives Virtual Matte.

Styling Products -Paul Mitchell - Gloss Drops
rated 4 of 5

Just bought this stuff -- really like it. It DOES weigh your hair down some, but I wanted that. I have course, thick hair that likes to go frizzy and is a bit dry, this stuff makes it feels really smooth and soft.

Concealers -BeneFit Cosmetics - Lyin Eyes Concealer [DISCONTINUED]
rated 2 of 5
salt4yourwounds 12/26/2007 5:12:00 PM

I found the consistency of the concealer to be too thin to improve on my dark circles (and I'm only 21-- isn't it only going to get worse from here?) I kinda liked the packaging, but that in no way will get me to keep using it. I use Prescriptives Flawless Skin concealer now instead; works much better.

Eyeliner -Smashbox - Creme liner in Scout
rated 5 of 5
salt4yourwounds 9/27/2007 3:44:00 PM

I really really love this, only because I found a really great look to use it with. The color comes out even a little bit teal on me for some reason. I like to buff it all over my lid and onto the outer corner of the lower lashline, then I apply MAC sultress e/s to the outer V, MAC rose blanc e/s to my inside corners and along the inner lower lashline, and UD rust e/s to the middle of my lid. THEN line the upper and lower lashes using Scout again. use BE socialite loose dust to blend it all. Altogether it gives this money-green/gold glow.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Veluxe - Silly Goose
rated 4 of 5
salt4yourwounds 8/31/2007 4:03:00 PM

Okay, so you have to try a little bit with this eyeshadow. I did not know what to pair it with at first and you do have to pack it a bit to get it to show up. I found a suggestion online to try Silly Goose with Shale (never would have thought of it) and now I am in love, but not before I found that combination. Then again I think every color of eyeshadow CAN work if it's layered/blended with the right stuff. You just have to try and try again.

Best powder blush I've tried, I usually use cremes (MAC). I use the pinched pink.

Eye Shadow -Bare Escentuals - socialite glimmer

Had never bought anything BE before this and I'm impressed. It wasn't ultra expensive and it's beautiful and smoky. I wore it with MAC Club e/s, MAC Shade fluidline, and MAC Delphic fluidline (really goes great with those). You do have to blend, blend, blend though.
