I purchased tamanu oil from mountain rose herbs to help my eczema on my hands and feet. It is not working as fast as some reviewers say but after a week I think the eczema is better. It did get rid of the itch almost instantly and dried it up in a day or 2. I decided to try it on my face even though I'm a dedicated Arcona user and very happy with all the products I use. One time I used it 2 nights in a row and my skin got a bit dry so I only use it every other night now. This is working out good. My skin has not had any breakouts either. It seems to give my skins nice glow. I've only used it 3-4 times so far, so I will update later. I also made myself a great over all body butter with it. Here is the recipe Tamanu body butter 2-4 Tablespoons melted Shea butter 1 tablespoon aloe Vera juice 3 Tablespoons Tamanu oil

Conditioner -Ouidad - Balancing Rinse

I can only wear my hair wavy when I use this conditioner along with the Ouidad shampoo and gel. I'm not sure if it conditions any better then other brands, but it does something to facilitate wavy/curly hair.

I think GC is the most effective over the counter retinol out there. I just wish they would not put FD&C yellow 5, red 40, blue 1 in there. All of my other skin care products are very natural (ARcona) but I make an exception for GC because it is that good! UPDATE: the arcona products have been so great for my skin that I no longer need to use this product.

Moisturizers -Arcona - Magic White Ice

I love this product!! I bought one of the sample kits after discussing my skin with an arcona rep at the department store and have not used any other products on my skin since! Having dry, sensitive, AND acne prone skin at the same time can be challenging finding a good moisturizer. Magic White ice is the perfect mosituizer for me. It mositurizes, does not irritate my skin, and does not break me out.

Misc Beauty Tools -Clarisonic - Mia

It may be the combo of the Arcona products that I'm using along with the mia, but my skin has never looked this good. Before using this, I could have probably extracted something from just about every pore on my face. Now, almost nothing! It is really amazing. I also had little small bumps on my forehead for years that nothing seemed to get rid of. Now, I can count 3 on my whole face! I lurked around reading reviews for months before buying this because I thought it was a bit expensive. I'm really glad I decided to make the investment because it really works! The product is well made, the charge lasts very long so it would be easy to take on a trip without even worrying about plugging it in, and it only takes about 30 seconds twice a day. I don't think it does anything for wrinkles, but it is great at unclogging poress and clearing up skin!

I ordered this along with the illuninare eyeliner brush. It goes on so nice and lasts all day. Comes off easy with eye make up remover. Great eyeliner.

Eye Primer -Senna - Totally Transforming Eyeshadow Base

Well, I'm amazed at the difference in opinions on this primer. I absolutely love it! I've been on a search for a good primer that does not dry out my lid or make me look older. This one is the right color for me (fair skin) and goes on nice and smooth. It keeps my eye shadow totally in place all day with no creases. You only need a little bit, so the tub with last a long time I think. I also love the fact that it has anti aging properties as well. I finally think my search for the prerfect primer is over!! UPDATE: I still love this primer, but I discovered that is does crease if it is worn alone for some reason. I have never had a creasing problem once I put the shadow over it, but when worn alone it does crease. Still my favorite primer. Update: although this is a great primer I realized that it contains petroleum which I try to avoid. I switched to using a mineral make up as a primer which works even better. Illuminare.

Cleansers -Arcona - Berry Fruit Bar

This bar smells good and comes in a nice little jar for storage. It does a great job of taking off my make up and cleaning out my pores without drying my skin or causing any sensitive reactions. I started out with the toner tea bar in the summer, but had to switch to this bar when winter hit because my skin gets very dry in the winter. I can't say enough about arcona products. My skin has never looked better. I do notice that the Berry fruit bar is a little bit softer then the Toner tea bar, so I have to be very careful not to close the lid on the jar when the bar is still wet. I like the idea of cutting the bar in half or quarters like some of the other reviewers wrote for it to last longer! I'm definately going to try that. This is a fantastic facial cleanser and definately worth the money.

Sunscreen -Arcona - Reozone SPF 40

Well, another amazing product from Arcona. I have not been able to wear any sunscreen for years because they all seem to make my skin itch, sting, burn, or break out. Arcona's reozone does none of those thing. I have been using it for a week and love it! The texture is like mousse and the tint works great for my skin tone. I wear a light mineral powder over top of it and my skin looks more even tone. I'm reallly happy I can finally wear a sunscreen again!

another great arcona product. when I first started using this product I did not use the gommage the morning after and was getting a little bit of dry skin. Sinse I added in the cranberry gommage my skin no longer dry at all. She said the 2 must be used together.

Cleansers -Arcona - Toner Tea Bar

I was a little nervous about using a bar with my sensitive skin that gets dry, but I am so glad I tried this. I use the toner tea bar, magic white ice, cranberry gommage, daily dew, and gentle solution. It gets rid of make up and cleans out the pores. I think the container is great too. I think it will last really long. (so far it has been about 5 weeks and it hardly looks like i made a dent in it. update: this bar worked great for me in the summer/fall but I had to switch to the Berry bar for sensitive skin when winter hit. My skin was just too dry after the weather changed. I may buy it again in the summer.

Skincare - Face -Arcona - The Basic Five

I bought the Toner tea bar and got samples of the rest of the "basic five" about a week ago at the suggestion of a sales associate where I get my eyebrows done. This is an amazing product line! I have sensitive, acne prone skin that gets dry in the winter. I have been on the look out for natural skin care products that won't break me out and I found that in this line. I'm 43 and no longer get big pimples, but I have really bad clogged pores and small bumps on my forehead and temple. The toner tea bar got rid of these bumps more in a week then proactiv did!! I"m really amazed. It also does not bother my sensitive skin. I do notice my skin feels a bit dry now that the weather is changing, so I think I will buy the kit for dry skin. I still can't believe that 4 new products have not bother my skin at all!! Not only that, my skin is really clearing up with no dry patches! UPDATE: STILL IN LOVE WITH ARCONA: I just updated my update because it has now been about 4-5 months using arcona. I still love this line. I use the berry bar for sensitive skin, hydrating serum, magic white ice, gentle solution, reozone 40, cranberry gommage, vitamin C serum (the one with retinol), and the peptide eye serum. I only use the gentle solution and cranberry gommage about 1 time a week and the vitamin C serum about 4 nights a week right now. My skin has never been clearer. Not only am I not getting breakouts, but the bumps on my forehead and temple are 90% gone. my pores are smaller looking on my nose, and I don't have so many clogged pores. My skin is still a bit on the dry side, but I just recently switched to the berry bar and i just started the retinol, so I"m hoping that will improve as well. The only arcona product that has not immediately achieved HG status is the peptide eye serum. It's nice, but I still feel like I need to search for something better.

Skincare - Face -Pro Activ - Renewing Cleanser

I used this years ago and had to stop because of irritation. Now that I am in my 40ies I really don't break out like I used to, but I do get clogged pores, black heads, and small bumps on my forehead and temple. So, I decided to try this again after not having luck with anything else. Amazing!!! After 4 days I would say my bumps and black heads are 75% gone! I remember how this became ineffective and irritating after a while in the past, so I plan on going down to 2 times a week once I get a bit clearer. Maybe even 1 time a week in the Winter when my skin is drier. The exfoliation is great. My skin is also looking a lot brighter. Edit: I stopped using this because it started irritating my skin. I also started using Arcona products and so far they are way more effective, are more natural, and don't irritate my skin.

I was initially a little irritated from another product when i started the stone crop serum and it made it a little worse. (mild itching around the sides of my nose/cheeks). However, during that time it made my blemishes all go away! I'm not sure how a moisturising product can get rid of acne and clogged pores but it did. I stopped using it and reintroduced it after my irritation when away and so far so good. I'm only using it every other day so far (was using it twice a day). I use the stone crop serum along with the Linden Calendula cream and I am so happy with the results. The stone crop serum did not seem all that mositurizing when I used it alone, but in combo with the Linden calendula cream, it is amazing. So much so that I have been able to start using one of my retinol creams again (green cream). I can't really comment on the lightening properties since I am started using other things at the same time. I will definately buy this product again. I have very sensitive, acne prone, dry dehydrated, pre rosacea skin and finally feel like I got the perfect conbo for my skin. I usually only use oil free mositurizers which was just not enough hydration for me. EDIT: I changed some of my ratings because I to stopped using this. I used up about half of it and I didn't really see any positive changes in my skin. in fact, I think my skin looked worse. I find the Linden Calendula cream much more moisturizing.

Treatments -Exuviance - Vespera Bionic Serum

I used this serum 3 times so far and, unfortunately my sensitive skin reacted to it. A couple small bumps on my forehead appeared and it worsened the sensitive area on my cheeks (mildly itchy and red). The other areas of my face look pretty good, so I think this would be a great product for anyone without sensitive skin. I'm also less dry which makes my face looks tons better with makeup. It's too bad because I was excited after reading the reviews. I think I may try some emminence products because I do better with organic products.
