Conditioner -L'Occitane - Repairing Conditioner (Dry & Damaged Hair)

This is the first time I have used a shampoo and conditioner from this range and I love both of them. Personally for me the scent is divine, not overpowering in the slightest and leaves my hair smelling fresh and clean. Althought the product is a little on the runny side thats not a negative things as it is easily distributed. The first time I used it I thought because it was quite runny that it would not provide the necessary moisture that my coloured long hair needs but I was quite wrong. It was easy to comb through and when rinsed and dried I was left with really glossy hair.... Fantastic.... Only downside is it comes in a smaller container than the shampoo which as another poster pointed out meant I ran out of it before I had finished the shampoo, but as I have bought more Im sure thing will balance out.

Lip Treatments -Burt's Bees - Honey Lip Balm
rated 5 of 5

Great lip balm although as others have mentioned it does have a rather strong smell which is tolerable for me but not the best. I find the Honey Lip Balm to be far more moisturising than the original in the tin, but I still like that one for its cooling sensation and the smell is fresher. Also I have tried the Pomegranate lip balm and that too has a very strong smell and less moisturising abilities than the Honey one. All in all this is a great Balm .... in my opinion even better than the coverted Nuxe Reve de Miel (which I also have) because of its natural ingredients and its so cheap its unbelievable.

Cleansers -DHC - Deep Cleansing Oil
rated 5 of 5

This is my first time using an oil based cleanser so was'nt sure what to expect. After reading the many reviews on there I decided to give it a try along with the mild soap. The dispenser bottle was easy to use and allowed just the right amount 1-2 pumps to be applied to a dry face. I massage it over my make up and then use warm water to rinse away. As advised by the company I then follow with the mild soap to remove any residue, not that there is any but at least I know my face is clean. I only use the oil in the evenings and in the morning I use the soap on its own. The first couple of days my skin did feel somewhat dry but I have to say that I am glad that I continued with the routine as my skin is now clear and soft with no hint of dryness. So for me it works and I will continue to use until I am temped to indulge my PJ again.

Conditioner -Nexxus - Humectress Conditioner
rated 4 of 5

This conditioner has now been reformulated and is called Humectin, a previous reviewer has said that the new formulation contains silicones..... this is not true! However the Keraphix which is excellent has also been reformulated and is now called Enphuse has got 2 difficult to remove silicones in it. This and also the new version are both fantastic - great smell too.

Moisturizers -Decleor - Aromessence Essentiel Balm
rated 5 of 5

I just love the scent of this balm - as soon as I open the pot I inhale deeply - its so relaxing and calming. The texture is quite solid and thick but once warmed between the fingers it glides onto my skin beautifully. I find that when I use this balm I wake up with plumped, satin soft skin. Lines appear diminished and overall I have very happy skin. I dont use this every night as it is a very nourishing balm but for when my skins need a pick me up I reach for this.

Fragrances -Philosophy - Inner Grace EDP
rated 5 of 5

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this perfume. I have most of the Philosophy fragrances except Baby and The Fragrance and I have to say that this perfume ties at the top with Amazing Grace. It is a wonderful light, delicate smell but clean and fresh at the same time. Like all Philosophy fragrances it is subtle and not overpowering - I have even been known to wear this one when I go to bed as I love the soothing smell. I used to use very heavy scents D&G, Gucci, Cartier and Prada and now I am truely converted to the Philosophy way of scenting - a much more understated fragrance and not one that shouts from 150 paces "HELLO I'm HERE!!!

Polishes -Essie - millionails
rated 2 of 5
sallycat337 7/5/2007 5:05:00 PM

I have used OPI Nail Envy for a while and although I thought the product was good it caused my nails get a yellow like stain to them - not attractive as it looks like I have smoked 100 cigarettes a day, so I thought I would try Essie Millionails as this also has great reviews. I must say however that this product was much worse. After using it for only 2 weeks my nails look terrible, very badly stained with a yellow almost orange tint. After doing a bit of research this is apparently due to the product containg FORMALDEHYDE. This ingredient has possible cancer links and it actually dries the nail plate so it is something not to be used for an extended period of time and it appears that most nail hardeners contain this ingredient not just Essie Millionails, OPI Nail Envy has it in too. It appears that this problem does not affect everybody but I would advise anyone to do a search on Formaldehyde before putting it on their nails as the damage may not just be to their nails. For me now the search is on for a good nail strengthener that is free of Formaldehyde, Toluene and Nitrocellulose.
