I purchased this a few weeks ago in NC15 and in white. I got the NC15 for everyday and the white for a dress up party in which I was going as Snow White. At first I found it difficult to blend. I tried using a wet beauty blender sponge, but somehow this method didn't "gel" with my skin, making it look patchy. However, I tried it with my Dior full coverage liquid foundation brush, and it blends like a dream using this method. I dip my finger into the pan, swipe it onto several areas of my skin, then blend in circular motion across my face. On most days, one layer is good enough to cover acne scars, but if I have a break out on my cheeks, I will use it also as a concealer on those spots, and it is perfect. You definitely do need to play around with this product though to find a way to blend it that suits you.

Blush -Christian Dior - Rosy Glow Awakening Blush

This is a lovely, natural pink blush that when applied to your cheeks adapts to your own skin color. It definately lives up to its claims. When applied to mine, it gives me a perfect pink flush, like I've just gone for a brisk walk on a cool, winters day. However, my problem is its longevity. Within two hours its faded to nothing! That being said, the color is so lovely, I don't mind having to reapply it.

Shampoo -Moroccanoil - Moisture Repair Shampoo

I started using this last year when my salon ran out of my Loreal absolut repair (Which is better than this and if I recall correctly a tad cheaper!) I love the scent of this shampoo. It lathers well, leaves my hair soft and clean, even without using the masque afterward. It is a good shampoo, however, I prefer Loreal absolut repair because, it is cheaper and leaves my hair feeling softer and cleaner for longer, without going greasy. However, I prefer the Morrocan oil masque to the loreal absolut repair one!

Loose Powders -L'Oreal - Translucide

Overall, this is a good powder given it's cheap cost (about $42 NZD). I use it over my Dior Capture Totale liquid foundation. It mattifies shine and I have no need to touch up during the day. There are two colours available in New Zealand, light and medium. I use it in light...It is slightly peachy, no shimmer, just pure powder. I have acne prone but also dry skin...This did tend to accentuate my dry patches but not as much as other powders (er erm Smashbox Halo or Dior capture totale powder!) This was a good powder overall but I will attempt to find one that doesn't accentuate my dry patches before repurchasing.

Shampoo -L'Oreal - Professionnel Absolut Repair shampoo

This is an amazing shampoo. About 8 months ago I dyed my hair from black to platinum blonde. What a mistake to make! My once super shiny, thick and long black hair transformed to a heap of mess with straggly ends, brittle, and absolutely no shine. YUCK! I re dyed my hair back to black, and got the hairdresser to cut off the rat matt tails. She recommended this to help repair my hair. I have never looked back. In fact my hair looks better now than pre dye (except for the short length.) It is more glossy and soft. I use this in conjunction with the accompanying masque and I love it. Plus, the scent is divine-floral like. It isn’t that expensive either. I have the 500 ml bottle and masque and its lasted for 3 months…Not sure how much is left but that seems pretty good!

Cleansers -MD Formulations - Facial Cleanser

I hate that I LOVE this product....It is so expensive, but I justify it by saying that I am caring for my skin at the basic level rather than splurging on expensive foundation that only disguises problem skin rather than addressing it, which is what this does. Mine was $92 NZD from a shop here but you may find it cheaper to purchase online. I have acne prone skin that tends to be dry and oily on different areas of my face (generally dry areas are where I have attacked my acne with drying acne products). I also wear a lot of make up so I actually have lots of little bumps (not pimples, but skin colored) protrusions that show through my make up. I have been using this for a week, and unlike most cleansers that either clean too well (leaving skin dry) or not cleaning enough (making skin too oily/dirty feeling), this doesn't give either feeling, which is surprising as it also acts as an exfoliant with glycolic compound as one of its main ingredients. After a week of use, it has not flared up my acne (somehow my acne seems less angry, but I am reluctant to say that this has much to do with it). My non-pimple bumps under the skin have reduced in size and number. Also my skin feels super soft... Try applying to one half of the face and see what I mean. For those reviewers who haven't been taken with this product, you are probably doing something wrong... Take your make up off first and then using your fingers apply on dry skin...Leave for 2 minutes and then rinse off using either water or sponge (I prefer my dermalogica "the cloth"). After cleansing, I apply my priori eye cream and avst moisturiser...Both of which I highly recommend. Packaging is not that great, I prefer pump dispenser rather than pour but oh well!!

Moisturizers -Weleda - Wild Rose Face Oil Capsules

This definitely is a luxurious, "pamper me" oil treatment for the facial skin. I have skin that is acne prone with areas that are dry and others (like my nose and forehead) that are oily. I paid about $42 NZD for this, which I find expensive for just 30 applications, never the less, I loved this oil and would most certainly repurchase. Firstly, unlike a lot of oils, this did not break me out. In fact quite the opposite happened...I applied it at night on a cleansed face (no creams on top so that it fully absorbed)...In the morning my face felt super soft, no greasy residue and in fact my face seemed to glow through my make up (which almost never happens). I used all 30 capsules for an intensive one month treatment and it was amazingly effective. At the end of the month my skin seemed much smoother and fine lines around my eyes and lips appeared much finer. The only downside is the size of the capsules (super tiny, like the tip of your index finger)...The packaging says you can apply it on your face and neck, but there is only enough product to spread on your face... However, this is a great product and I highly recommend it.

Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Silica

I purchased the qsilica brand of tablets 4 months ago and have taken two a day religiously since...My skin is acne prone and unfortunately this didn't help clear it up...However it didn't break me out either, so that's a plus. This product did do wonders for my hair, lashes and nails. Firstly, my hair looked so much healthier...I dyed it blond last year from black and then back again and it was in a dreadful condition-dry, dull, brittle...Within a month of taking these my hair was shiny and growing at a healthy rate (Note, the hair on the ends are weak and brittle, but the new hair growing is thick and glossy looking, which I can only put down to this). Also, my lashes were short after a few years of continual artificial eyelash extensions (the glue to apply eyelash extensions rip out your lashes). However, since taking these my lashes look much longer and thicker. Lastly, my nails, which are weak and peeling after 4 years of continual artificial nail application seem very strong and growing without peeling, so much so that I no longer need artificial nails (I hate short nails). Honestly, I was skeptical at first, but I really think this helps. My sister actually asked if I had had botox because my skin looked "tight" (good tight!) I won't repurchase for a while because I am trying to get my acne sorted so I don't want to use this while on antibiotics. But as soon as that has cleared then I will certainly repurchase:)

Pressed Powders -Napoleon Perdis - Camera Finish

I have this is in the new formula (gold packaging). I have skin that depending on the day can be dry, oily or normal. I also am acne prone. Depending on my skin type on a particular day this powder can be classed as good or awful. Firstly, when my skin is dry or normal, this powder is great... I use this over my Diorskin sculpt foundation (in 020) or Napoleon Perdis stick foundation (in number 3). It mattifies and removes "moisturizer shine" (i.e shine that peeps through foundation from your moisturizer). I find it does not have much coverage, but that does not bother me as my liquid/stick foundation provides that...However, if you were using this purely for a foundation powder I don't think I would recommend it even for medium coverage powder foundation. I only needed to touch up with this powder to reduce "moisturizer shine" once, when my skin was dry/normal. However, if your skin even tends to oily, I would not recommend this. When my skin was in its oily stage, this powder didn't mattify and no matter how many layers I put on with my kabuki brush, shine still peeped through...1 hour later and I was like a grease ball...Skin so shiny and blotchy! Therefore, I do recommend this as a finishing powder for normal/dry skin, and highly recommend against for oily skin. For reference, I am NC20-25 and use G1, in the new formula. I won't repurchase, as I agree with another reviewer who said below that you can get a drugstore product that does the same thing for a fraction of the cost. (Personally I found the Maybelline Dream Matte mousse powder to be similar to this in terms of coverage and staying power). I paid about $74 NZD for this

Palettes -Bobbi Brown - Burnt Sugar Metallics

I love this eyeshadow color. Firstly, I used to steer clear of Bobbi Brown products after a disastrous fling with their foundations (warning, her foundations are horrible for acne-prone skin). However, I really love her blushes and eye shadows as they are highly pigmented and glide onto the skin like silk. Burnt sugar is no exception. Just one swipe of this color on your lids and you are good to go. I don't know why this is named metallic...So misleading. Yes, in the pan it looks a little shimmery but on your eyes the shimmer is transformed into a very slightly shiny sheen. As for the color, the name says it all... a light-medium yet buildable brown. For daytime wear I just use one layer, for a nighttime smoky look I use two-three layers on my lids and contour with Bobbi Brown eyeshadow in sable on my crease (another great, versatile colour). Oh and seriously, this makes blue eyes pop, like no other shadow has done for me. I used to use Dior eye shadows religiously... not any more, they are awful with hardly any pigment whatsoever in them. The cost is expensive, but I have had mine for a year, use it every day and still can not see the bottom of the pan, so well worth the investment, in my opinion. The packaging is sleek and slim so ideal for traveling or handbag carriage! I gave it a 4 rather than a 5 as I prefer my eye shadows in kits with other colours so its easier to carry and co ordinate contour/crease, base colours etc...however this is just a minor grievance and I am sure if you go to the BB counter and ask for eye shadows that can be colour coordinated for this purpose, they will help. For reference I am NC20-25

Concealers -Christian Dior - Skinflash Radiance Booster Pen

I had such high hopes for this product and usually I absolutely adore Christian Dior (look at my other reviews!). But unfortunately, this is a dissapointment. I got this pen in 001, which the sales rep said would cover my dark circles and brighten/add radiance to my undereye area. She said 001 would be a better colour for my NC20-25 skincolour than 002, as 002 is skin coloured and would only act as a concealor, whereas 001 would act as a concealor and highlighter. Well, firstly, the texture of this product is quite thick and hard to spread evenly especially on the delicate undereye skin. I am twenty, and this stuff creased underneath my eyes so badly, and made wrinkles magically APPEAR, so that instead of looking 20 I ended up looking 50... I definately would not reccomend this. I ended up purchasing Smashbox Photo Op undereye brightener, and it does all what this should do at a lesser cost. On the plus side, I will use this as a highlighter on other areas of my face like my cupids bow.

Eyeliner -Napoleon Perdis - Eye Pencil

Overall, I am dissapointed in Napoleon Perdis's eyeliner...I purchased this in the gold colour, and applied it to my bottom inner rim. Firstly, the pigment is awful, it takes a lot of pressure and warming up for the color to show (barely)... Secondly, when it does finally sho, the lasting power is only about 1 hour. Probably won't repurchase if I find a replacement gold eyeliner.

Highlighters -Smashbox - EYE BEAM DOUBLE-ENDED BRIGHTENER

I purchased this just for the nude eyeliner end not the brow highlighter...as I have plenty of brow highlighters that work better than this one. However both work well and because its a two in one product, it is light to carry during the day for touch ups or for travelling. The nude eyeliner is great for widening the eyes if you put it on your bottom inner rim and place the eyebrow highlighter (the thicker end of the pencil) underneath your eyebrow arch and in the inner corners of your eyes, for a bright eyed look. I like the nude eyeliner but I prefer other highlighting products in preferance to this one...however this one is adequate and I will use it when I am travelling/in my bag for touch ups due to its convenience. I wish Smashbox had the nude eyeliner in a seperate pencil because that is all I really want from this product but they don't (not in NZ anyway). Chanel did bring out a nude eyeliner called claire in their eyeliner KOHL range a few years ago but discontinued it...It was similar in quality to this smashbox eyeliner. But they discontinued it, so I am back to smashbox. Smashbox, if you are reading this, please bring out a seperate eyeliner which is this nude colour (ie without the highlighter end!) Otherwise, I love the versatility of this product

Lipstick -Chanel - Rouge Coco # 23 Rouge Orage

On a whim, I bought several Rouge Coco lipsticks...Taffetas Rose (#16), Orchidee (#17), Rouge Orage (#23), Perle (), and Mademoiselle (). Of all of them, my overall favourite, wear with anything anywhere colour is orchidee (see my review...it's a stunning colour). This is my second favourite with Tafettas Rose coming in a close 3rd. Rouge Orage has the best staying power lasting about 3 hours and then leaving an ever so pretty reddish-pink stain on the lips. The color itself is not a true red, but a red that veers toward brown but with a lot of pink. It's not an obnoxious color and can be worn as a neutral but with a lot of depth on my skin tone (NC25). As with all Chanel products it is pricey, but the packaging and colors are not in my opinion dupe-able. Overall I won't buy again as I find orchidee is an overall better neutral for my skintone and age (I'm 20 and it has more pink in it)...But maybe when I get older (aaaargh...) this might be a good age appropriate colour (with more browns)
