Tinted Moisturizer -Smashbox - Sheer Focus Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15
rated 5 of 5

I have this in the luminous, oil free, spf 15. It is lovely. I have dry skin but this is just right and gives me a luminous glow, not too frosty or shiny looking. Most foundations look thick and heavy on me, tinted moisturizers are either greasy or chalky looking. This one is perfect. It feels cool on the skin and great staying power.

Lip Gloss -Clinique - Superbalm Moisturizing Gloss in Ginger
rated 2 of 5

The color on this gloss is beautiful. It is a natural rosy brown. The texture is thick and feels heavy on your lips, but the gloss does not stay on your lips. The taste of this gloss is one of the worst ever. It is a toss up between vaseline and some kind of goo for your husbands tools or car. It is horrific. Do not buy it because of the taste

Palettes -Pixi - Lumi Lux Lip Palette
rated 3 of 5
sabrina112 11/23/2010 6:14:00 PM

I bought the palette in Rosewood. There is a warm side with 10 shadows and a cool side with 10 shadows. They are all very frosty with no matt shades. It was $36.00 and definitely not worth the money. The palette is also very combersome to carry around. It is about 6 inches long and 2 1/2 inches wide and about 1 inch thick. It has a magnetic closure. I do like some of the tiny Pixi palettes but this one is not worth the money.

Blush -NYX - Cafe
rated 3 of 5

NYX Blushes are usually good blushes with nice color, and staying power. This is an ok color, looks like coffee with cream and a little mauve thrown in. But I have very fair skin and it looks kind of a muted warm reddish brown, rather muddy. I think someone with medium to darker skin could wear it as a bronzer or blush. The color would probably be beautiful. The texture is a creamy power.

Eye Shadow -Revlon - Colorstay 12-Hour Eyeshadow Quad "In the Buff"
rated 2 of 5
sabrina112 11/23/2010 5:57:00 PM

If you want a totally nude look with no color pay off, this is the shadow for you. It looks like nice nudes in the pan but is a little chalky and your eyes look like you have put nothing on them. The top two colors might be ok for a highlight, one is a light nude yellow tone, the other a nude pink tone. I would not waste my money on this palette.

Lip Gloss -Revlon - Colorstay Mineral Lipglaze in 512 Timeless Nude
rated 1 of 5

This lip gloss is sticky, opaque looking, and very drying to the lips. There is no staying power. The color is a lighter nude than it appears in the wand. I did waste my money on this product.

Lipstick -Revlon - Super Lustrous Sandalwood Beige
rated 5 of 5
sabrina112 9/19/2010 3:52:00 PM

This is a beautiful warm peachy, pink neutral. It is creamy, not drying, and has a good staying power without being drying. It is matt with a soft sheen, not opaque. It is a lovely lipstick and is half the price of a MAC lipstick. If you are very fair, with warm undertones, like myself, it appears to brighten the face and looks very natural.

Blush -Milani - Minerals Blush - 203 - Mai Tai [DISCONTINUED]
rated 1 of 5
sabrina112 9/19/2010 3:42:00 PM

This blush is ok. The color in the pan is beautiful, a peachy, pink that is soft and matt looking. I am very fair and it looks like a clown on me when applied. I am sure that it would be gorgeous on a darker complexion. The texture is a little powdery and seems to get into the pores. There is also fall out. To summarize, the color in the pan looks good, it is soft to the touch, but when it is applied, the poor texture shows. At least it does on my fair skin tone. I must admit I am having a hard time finding the perfect inexpensive blush. Blush on me is usually too light to even see, appears ashy mauve/brown, or looks like a clown face. I like cream blushes but the inexpensive ones do not stay on or get into the pores. I will keep searching!

Bronzers -New York Color - Smooth Skin Bronzing Face Powder in Sunny 720
rated 1 of 5
sabrina112 9/19/2010 3:28:00 PM

I have this bronzer in Sunny. Although it is matt, the consistency is grainey. It goes on streaky and appears chalky. It also settles in fine lines. I think it is very drying as well. I do not like this product at all.

Eye Shadow -Maybelline - Stylish Smokes in Natural Smokes
rated 5 of 5
sabrina112 7/14/2010 4:27:00 PM

Very nice eye shadow quad! The color pay off is very good, not chalky or powdery. The lid color is a dupe for MAC Satin Taupe. The dark brown is a lovely liner that stays in place. The highlighter is a dupe for Bobbi Brown, Bone, and the crease color is a nice warm deep copper. The packaging is fine because it is small, thin, and will slip in your makeup bag, purse, cell phone case, or even pocket! I am tiring of the expensive brands, as they are getting poorer and poorer in quality, I am assuming because of costs I am also concerned about the products made in China. I have done a lot of research on the quality control measures in China for US drugs, makeup, etc. They may say that they are made by US standards but there are very few inspectors from the US sent to monitor the manufacturing processes. This is because of cutbacks in the FDA. The cosmetic company may send inspectors but it is costly and they are not disclosing their review process. This quad is made in America and I trust the practices here before I trust the dyes, and fillers from China! I have seen documentaries on television and news articles about the operational practices in China and what they are putting in our products! Beware about your cosmetics! Your skin is porous and whatever you put on your eyes, skin, lips, etc. is absorbed right into the tissue and bloodstream. Beware of those pencils used for the waterline. Buy American!

Blush -Wet 'n' Wild - Color Icon Blush - Berry Shimmer
rated 2 of 5
sabrina112 7/12/2010 4:18:00 PM

This blush is way to dark for fair skin. It is a reddish color with a glow in appearance. The application is a little streaky and uneven because the powder is grainey. I am sure it would be lovely on darker complexions but I did not like it. It is inexpensive but I have tried 2 of the color icon blushes and one is muddy in color and the other is this one, both unflattering to fair skin. The other I tried was a mauve color. The sheen is nice, not too frosty. It is better than the Milani Mai Tai Blush which is too matt and chalky but they are both too bright for my fair skin. I do like other Wet and Wild products but not this one!

Blush -Cover Girl - Cheekers Blush in Golden Pink
rated 1 of 5
sabrina112 7/12/2010 4:11:00 PM

I had high hopes for this product after listening to reviews on Youtube, but I was very disappointed. It is streaky and the color is not for fair skin. It also appears to look very orangey. It does not blend well when applied and the pigmentation is uneven. If you are fair, don't waste money on this product. I am looking for alternatives to high end brands but this is not it.
