Powder -Bare Escentuals - Original SPF 15 Foundation

This is my new HG foundation. I'm not sure why I tried other mineral foundations, when I could have just bought BE. It seriously "melts" into your skin, creating a very even, natural, complexion. I pair the original formula powder with the oil control primer. Together, they lasted for 12 hours in 90 degree heat and humidity. I'm not sure that I could ask for more! (I would not go so far to say that this creates a flawless finish. But if you are looking for a even, natural, long-wearing foundation that does not accentuate fine lines, then this is it.)
This product is everything that Benefit's Erase Paste claims to be, but isn't. It covers dark circles wonderfully, and it has a creamy, even, consistency. Most importantly, this concealer does not accentuate fine lines and wrinkles. My advice: use a bit of powder to "set" the concealer and you will be good to go.
I purchased this product because I really love EDM's semi-matte foundation, and it had so many good reviews. I use it as directed to "set" my foundation. No matter what brush I use, how long I buff, or how light or heavy handed I am, this just looks awful. It sits on top of the foundation. Without foundation, it just sits on the skin. I have sensitive combo skin and use moisturizer day and night. This powder creates dry patches around my nose, and on my forehead. It also cakes on the side of my nose where I wear my sunglasses, and around my lips. I'm not sure why everyone has had great results. I will definitely never buy this product again.
Powder -Everyday Minerals - foundation semi-matte formula

At first, I really loved this foundation. PROS: There are tons of colors to choose from, and you can order samples galore. I found my perfect shade (Fairly Light Neutral) when I ordered the Fair sample kit. The kit was free (plus s+h) because I had ordered the Long Handled Kabuki -- great brushes, by the way. The semi-matte base has a light to medium, buildable coverage, and it stands up to a slightly oily t-zone better than the original glow base. (The matte and intensive were a bit cakey on me.) The ingredients (or lack thereof) are amazing. CONS: After 3 months of use, I noticed that the powder never really melted into my skin. It was always sitting just on top of my skin, which made it very noticeable. It does not feel as light as other mineral makeup powders, and it does not last. After 4 hours, my T-zone was oily. I also noticed oil in areas where I had never before seen oil. The longer I wore the powder, the faster it "melted" off my face. MY ADVICE: You get what you pay for.
Eye Shadow -BeneFit Cosmetics - Creaseless Cream Shadow/Liner-BIRTHDAY SUIT

LOVE, love, love, this eyeshadow. Lasts forever, and wears like a dream. "Birthday Suit" is the perfect light golden bronze summer shade. I wear it everyday. I even wore it for my August wedding.
I'm not sure why this mascara is toted as a #1 seller, and all-time favorite. It clumps, and smudges like crazy.
Liquid -Neutrogena - Healthy Skin Liquid Makeup SPF 20

The color selection was great for me, because I am very fair. My problem lies in the consistency, and wearability of the makeup. Even with a light application, the makeup looked heavy on my skin. It seemed to sit on top of my skin and melted off throughout the day (even with proper exfoliation, moisturizer, and primer.) The liquid took a very long time to dry, and if you set it with powder while it was still wet, the powder/liquid combo flaked off. Shockingly, it accentuated fine lines and wrinkles that I never knew I had, and created both dry patches, and isolated break outs.
The good: I purchased this in the lightest shade, Champagne. I used it for my summer wedding and it created a flawless, almost airbrushed look (note: this is the ONLY reason for 4 lippies.) The bad: The price is ridiculous for the amount of product. I "hit pan" after 6 months of on and off use (one application every other day or so.) The colors are limited, and the lightest color is too dark in the winter (either that, or it oxidized -- still not sure), so it was no longer a match for my fair skin. My advice: Although my wedding pictures are gorgeous, you can certainly find a better powder for the price.
I loved this polish in the bottle, but not on my nails. The formula is terrible -- thick/gloopy and then streaky once applied. It chipped after 2 days, even with an expensive base and top coat. Unfortunately, Im still searching for an Essie nail polish that I like.
This concealer works, but I have to be very careful to only use the least amount possible. I rub it between my ring fingers to create a lighter/creamier consistency, and then dab it onto my dark circles. If I set it with powder, or dab it near my fine lines, it settles, and adds about 10 years to my face. Application with a concealer brush only makes it worse.
Styling Products -Frederic Fekkai - Glossing Cream with Olive Oil

I really like this but you can't go more than one day without washing or rinsing your hair. You also have to use even less than the recommended amount or else your hair will be greasy. My hair is no longer frizzy or unmanageable. Instead, it is soft and shiny. Well worth the investment.
I'm torn. It's the first mineral makeup that tried. Although it made my skin super soft, I don't think it looked natural. The color selection is limited, and the ingredients are more mainstream than "good for your skin natural." My advice: wait until they have a two-for-one deal, and if you hate it, there's a money-back guarantee.
Used the pot, not the pump. Did not work well with my skin. I don't like the sticky sweet smell and the stickiness of the lotion. Additionally, my lotion became moldy after a month. Burt's replaced for free and said this had never happened to them before. However, after the second pot became moldy, I knew I would never use this again.
Moisturizers -Burt's Bees - Carrot Nutritive Day Creme

Love this moisturizer. I use it twice a day and also dab it around my eyes. The pure carrot oil kick starts skin cell growth. It's thick, so you have to watch how much you put on. If you use sparingly, you're face will not turn orange (like the other reviewers.) EDIT: After years of using the product, it has failed me. The consistency has changed in that it's thicker, and it just sits on top of my skin, making my MMU streaky. Sadly, I can no longer recommend this product.
