Yum. This bath bomb makes my skin smell SO good. It isn't too orangy, but instead has a light, lemon-lime sort of smell. The marigold petals floating around in my bath water were a nice, subtle finish to this soothing bath. I would definitely purchase this again. Too bad I have to leave the US to buy it though!
So far, I have been very happy with the NARS shadows I've tried. This was no exception. Ondine is a slightly shimmery brown, with gold undertones. I didn't really see the plum in it, but I apply it very lightly. It is somewhat sheer to begin with. It is very similar to Bobbi Brown bronze shimmerwash, but it is not quite as sparkly. Overall, it is an excellent neutral shadow with a little shine.
Treatments -The Body Shop - brazil nut moisture mask
ruckygirl 5/29/2004 12:36:00 AM
This hair mask is supposed to "moisturize and improve manageability." I thought it did an okay job. You're supposed to get your hair wet, rub the mask in, let it sit for 15 minutes, and then shampoo it out. Although the stuff smells wonderful, I couldn't tell that i did anything more for my hair than regular conditioner. My hair didn't feel any softer and the effects (if there were any) were not long lasting. This hair mask isn't expensive ($12), but it doesn't really do anything except smell nice. Also, the tub is kind of a pain to deal with. A tube would me much handier.
Lip Gloss -Delux Beauty - Norris Lipgloss [DISCONTINUED]

When I first got this, I loved it. Now, I never reach for it. The color and consistency look great..for about a minute. This l/g has no staying power. The color is a pretty, very sheer red that looks good on anyone. However, I will stick with my "stickier" glosses for now.
Compared to my other conditioners, I can't tell that this does anything. Maybe I'm too impatient and rinse it out too quickly, but I really can't tell any difference in the texture and appearance of my hair.
Although I like this product, I don't think it is worth the price. I smooth it on after blow-drying my hair to keep flyaways at bay. It does the job, but there are enough similar products on the market now that I'll probably search for a cheaper alternative.
Lotions/ Creams -Bath and Body Works - Cucumber Melon Body Lotion
ruckygirl 5/8/2004 11:02:00 PM
I wasn't sure if I'd like it because every brand seems to have their own melon scented products out there. This surprised me though. I really liked the light scent and the texture of the lotion. It's not too thick and really moisturizes but is not greasy. I'll have to try out this lotion in some of the other many scents.
Gels/Soaps -Bath and Body Works - Cucumber Melon Creamy Body Wash
ruckygirl 5/8/2004 10:58:00 PM
I wasn't sure if I was going to like this, but I find myself reaching it for it every time I take a shower. The scent is pleasant but what really gets me is that a little goes a long way. I love how it lathers up instantly too. To finish it off, I slather on some of the cucumber melon body cream after I dry off. Both have that great spring scent that really wakes me up in the morning.
Although I've tried to like this bubble bath, I just can't. Maybe if I used it for a shower gel, it would work. The bottom line is that it smells good, but produces a miniscule amount of bubbles. Plus, the little bits of cream that float around in the tub are a bit annoying. I love the smell, but this is a silly product.
This is one of the few masks that actually did something for my skin. Although it burns slightly after it is applied, the results are worth it. I used it before bed last night and I woke up with super smooth skin this morning. Usually, the effects of a mask only last for a few hours after application, but this one truly made a difference in my skin's texture. Although I can't tell if my face "looks" smoother, it definitely feels softer.
I used this for about six months and I was constantly looking for a replacement eyeshadow base. This product is fine, but not worth the money. It is annoying to apply it - rubbing the stick on your lids over and over again only to reblend it with your fingertips. It doesn't always reduce creasing either. I got a cheap, drugstore cream shadow to use as a base and that has quickly replaced it. I don't recommend this product unless you must have the Origins version.
Treatments -Burt's Bees - Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream
ruckygirl 4/9/2004 2:34:00 AM
I keep this in my desk and use it daily. The lemony scent is just right - not overpowering at all. I got this in a swap and I don't even remember what came with it - this was the best of the bunch. I have the mini-tin and I am not even half-way through with it. My nails and fingers get very dry, so I usually apply a layer of this over my cuticles before slathering on my hand lotion. Now I just need one more tin of this for home and I'll be set.
Lipstick -Bobbi Brown - Treatment Lip Shine SPF 15 - Naked Pink
ruckygirl 4/9/2004 2:31:00 AM
This is my everyday lipcolor. My favorite thing about this is the texture - very light but not at all greasy or shiny. I wish it lasted a little bit longer on my lips, but other than that it is perfect. Sometimes I add a layer of clear gloss and it gives me that YLBB look I love. I have the toffee lipshine, but I needed something a little lighter for spring.
Eye Shadow -Bobbi Brown - Raisin Shimmer Wash Eye Shadow
ruckygirl 4/9/2004 2:28:00 AM
Although I'm not partial to plummy shades, this is a wonderfully versatile color. Like other shimmerwash eyeshadows, it is shimmery, not sparkly and the shadow does not end up on your cheeks like other glitter shadows. The raisin color perfectly complements my blue eyes and I think it would look especially good on any brown-eyed girl. I read somewhere that this pairs well with BB rose gold shadow and it does. This is my new quick shadow combo that looks great no matter how dressed up or dressed down I am.
This polish is a lovely silver with a tiny hint of gold. I know it sounds strange, but it appears silver when it goes on, but dries to a silvery gold. It is a subtle shimmer that is not flashy. I can wear this to work and not worry about it.
