I LOVE THIS PRODUCT! I've always had so many blackheads on my nose. A few months ago, I started using The Face Shop's Charcoal Pore Strips which worked wonders on my blackheads! It did not remove my blackheads 100%, but made a significant difference. I bought the silver powder to try it out. I put some powder in my hand, add a few drops of hot water, and then mix it. I put the mixture on my nose (after I wash my face) and wait about 10 minutes. I use Ole Henrikson's Grease Relief Toner on a cotton pad to remove, then use the pore strips with hot water. After about 25 minutes, I peel the pore strips off. The silver powder helps get rid of like 50% more blackheads than without! NOW I can say my nose is almost 100% clear of blackheads. I do this about once every two weeks. This tub will last me at least a year. This is such a good value. This is a must have product.

I love this! I love the smell. I love what it does for my hair! My hair is chemically straightened. After several straightenings over the years, my hair has gotten a bit dry and poofy. I use about a quarter sized drop of this on my wet hair after I shower. I let my hair air dry naturally and my hair has shine and moisture again!
Why all the negative reviews? I have been using this mascara every day for a month now. After 1 coat, my lashes are thicker, longer, and beautiful! This mascara definitely gives the "fake" lashes look, but it doesn't over do it! I love this mascara and will keep repurchasing!
AWFUL PRODUCT! I love Karen's blog. I was so excited about this lipglass. The color was okay. It was very sheer and streaky. I love sparkles and the sparkles were pretty. Based on this alone, I would give it a 3. However, I wore this lipglass to work for the first time. After a few hours, my lips felt really dry so I just put on some chapstick. When I came home from work, I realized that my lips had a red irritation all along the inside of my lips. My lips felt numb and burned. I have NEVER had an allergic reaction to any kind of makeup! I have been using MAC lipglass, dazzleglass, and lipsticks for 4 years and have NEVER had any type of reaction. Maybe I had a bad tube? But I am definitely not purchasing this again.

I love this body butter! This body butter sinks in very quickly and does not leave me feeling greasy. I love the smell, it's very light. The smell fades very fast soon after I apply it. I will repurchase!

My skin is very oily. Within an hour after moisturizing and makeup, my oil takes up an entire blot sheet. I also have many blackheads on my nose. I used to use pore strips every week to just help with the blackhead problem, but it wouldn't get rid of all of them. All the blackheads would just come back within a few days. Other than the oiliness and blackheads, I rarely get pimples or breakouts. I use this lotion after DDF Glycolic Toner every night. I don't use this in the daytime because I don't want to use a product with glycolic acid while out in the sun. The first night I used this lotion, it felt like my face was on FIRE. I wanted to wash my face immediately because it hurt so badly. I don't have sensitive skin and I've never had this type of reaction to anything before. I waited it out for a few minutes and eventually, the pain went away. The next day, my face was so ITCHY and it was so hard not to scratch myself. I had small red bumps all along my jawline and my cheeks. My skin has never had bumps before. My skin was also DRY on my cheeks and around my mouth. My skin has never been dry in my life. I've always known my skin to be super oily. I knew it was this lotion that was causing the itchiness, dryness, and bumps but I kept using it almost every night (since my skin was getting dry and flaky, I used a regular moisturizer instead some nights). I knew if I started using glycolic acid that my skin would need to go through some changes and get used to it. Well, it's three weeks later and my skin looks the best I've ever seen it. I don't get the burning sensation anymore. My face doesn't have any red bumps anymore (those lasted around a week). My face doesn't itch anymore (itchy for about a week). However, it does get a little dry on some parts now, but that's nothing a heavier moisturizer can't fix at those spots. Blackheads don't come back after using pore strips! My skin is still very oily, but I think this helped a little with the oil production. I didn't get any major breakouts (purging) from this lotion. I got 2 pimples from this, which isn't bad. I was kind of expecting worse. This lotion is amazing. I got this on sale for $5 and I would be willing to pay at least $50 for it. I will repurchase!
I have been using this product for 3 weeks. My skin is very oily. Within an hour after moisturizing and makeup, my oil takes up an entire blot sheet. I also have many blackheads on my nose. Before this toner, I used to use pore strips every week to just help with the blackhead problem, but it wouldn't get rid of all of them. All the blackheads would just come back within a few days. Other than the oiliness and blackheads, I rarely get pimples or breakout. Anyway, I use this toner at night after washing my face and before moisturizer. I don't want to use this in the daytime because of the glycolic acid. I don't want the sun to damage my skin. (I alternate between Clinique's Mild Clarifying Lotion and Ole Henrickson's Grease Relief Toner in the daytime.) I get a tingly feeling when using this toner. It doesn't sting that badly at all. With this toner, my blackheads don't come back! My skin is so much clearer! I am so happy I found this product. My skin does get a little dry sometimes, but I always moisturize after so it's not much of an issue. The price is a little steep, but this is worth it. I feel like a bottle will last me ~4 months maybe. I will repurchase.
My skin is extremely oily. I've recently been using DDF's Glycolic Toner which I LOVE, but I prefer not to use it in the daytime since it has glycolic acid. So I wanted a toner that I could use in the daytime and turned to MUA for answers. I also have been using Ole Henrickson's Grease Relief Toner for 2 years, but figure I try something new. Mild Clarifying Lotion is great! It is very mild and not drying at all. I also feel like it moisturizes a little bit. However, I don't feel as if it gets rid of all the extra dirt and whatnot off after cleansing. So for my daytime toner, I alternate between this and Ole Henrickson's Grease Relief. The price is amazing! I think it was around $12 at Sephora and this will last me a few months. I will repurchase.
Skincare - Face -Ole Henriksen - Grease Relief Toner

I've used this toner for 2 years. I've bought it over and over again. My skin is extremely oily. It helped with my oiliness a little bit. Not as much as I hoped though. But this is great for daily use. It gets rid of all the extra dirt and whatnot after cleansing. It is very mild and not drying at all. I alternate between this, DDF Glycolic Toner (which I LOVE but it can be harsh), and Clinique's Mild Clarifying Lotion.
For me, this is just a normal moisturizer. My skin is normal, not dry or itchy. This sinks in nicely and isn't greasy. I love the way this smells in the tub but after putting it on and letting it sit, after a few hours, the smell is just... well, I can't describe it. But it's not the fresh smell you smell in the tub before putting it on. I feel like any lotion can do the same as Dream Cream (in terms of moisturizing) and any lotion would smell better too. It's also pretty pricey for an okay product.
Lotions/ Creams -The Body Shop - Hemp Hand Protector

Great hand cream. Very moisturizing. It's greasy at first, but sinks in after a few minutes. I actually like the smell. It's very earthy and fresh. The tube is awful though. I don't even have to squeeze the tube and the cream still oozes out. I will repurchase though.
This product is amazing! It is well worth the $15. It will last a few months. After reading reviews, I decided to try this out. I didn't understand what people said when they said they could see/feel the dead skin just come off. When I tried this product, I finally understood! I used this all over my face and could literally see "stuff" coming off! This worked really well on my nose. I have a lot of blackheads and whiteheads. This scrub took off a bunch of them (not all, but I wasn't expecting it to do that). I followed up with TFS charcoal pore strips (also amazing!) and I'd say about 90% of my blackheads and whiteheads are gone. This scrub is gentle in my opinion, but has by far the best results of any other scrub/treatments i've tried. I did not experience any redness or dryness. It made my skin so soft and smooth!I will use this once a week and will repurchase!
Lotions/ Creams -The Body Shop - Coconut Shimmer Body Butter
rsantos2 5/10/2011 12:44:00 AM
I would never have bought this product if I didn't have a coupon for a free full-size tub. When I first smelled the tub, it smelled plastic-y. I put this body butter on after I showered. The shimmer is beautiful! Very pearly, and not glittery at all. This would look great on a summer day on someone's legs. Wash your hands if you don't want the shimmer to transfer onto other fabrics! After settling in my skin, there was no more plastic smell but a nice coconut smell. This felt very moisturizing when I was putting it on, but it was greasy. Even after an hour, the body butter never fully settled in and I'm greasy all over. I will finish my tub. It was nice to try, but I will not repurchase.
This product is fun. The smell is a bit medicine-y to me. The taste is very light. On me, the color changes into a natural pink color. It has a nice shine, but not extremely shiny like some other glosses. This is also very "slippery" rather than thick and sticky. I'd prefer it to be a little thicker, but that's okay. It's not a bad product, but there are a lot of glosses out there that are better. I bought this based on the gimmick, rather than the actual gloss itself. Do I regret it? No, it's fun. Will I repurchase when and if I finish my tube? No.
I don't use this on my face because it is so thick. My skin is very oily, so I don't need this for moisture. I use this on my feet because they get very dry. Before Skin Food, I would apply all kinds of lotions and creams on my feet but it would never do anything. Skin Food is different! Within a few days, my feet aren't dry anymore! This stuff is great. It is so expensive though! I got this for about $14 on Amazon because my local Target didn't have it. It's worth it though. I will repurchase, but will ration out what I have for as long as I can!
