Eye Primer -Tarte - Lifted™ Natural Eye Primer with Firmitol™
roxy069 7/7/2010 2:35:00 PM
This is a pretty good primer, but it definitely does not last as long as Urban Decay Primer Potion. HOWEVER, I find that this has a way smoother application and it's easier to blend in eye shadow. I think this is perfect for someone who doesn't wear makeup for very long (so +6 hours) but it's not for me. For that reason and that reason only, I will not purchase this over Urban Decay PP.

Eyes -Make Up For Ever - Aqua Cream- #6 Fresh Pink
roxy069 7/7/2010 2:29:00 PM
I am loving the new Aqua Creams by MUFE! Fresh Pink (#6) is a beautiful bright pink with a very subtle golden sheen! You can't tell that it's got some golden sheen until you swatch it by the way... Anyways, I use it for my cheeks and lips. On the cheeks, it's very easy to blend, but it sets quickly so you gotta do it fast! It stays on forever. For the lips, it can be very drying but there is a very simple solution to this: wear balm underneath! If you do that, it's lovely, lasts forever, and leaves a beautiful stain if it fades on you. It was pricey ($25 USD I think?) but it seems like it'll last awhile. Also, I think as long as you cap the container tight, it won't dry out on you. I really want #5 now!

Fragrances -Cacharel - Noa Perfume
roxy069 1/15/2010 11:14:00 AM
This perfume is very strong (even if you barely spray it). The smell reminds me of comfortable elegance if there's such a thing. I've been told that it smells like coconut on me. The packaging is nice to look at (I love the little pearl like ball inside). Since it's so strong, the bottle will last you forever. The perfume turns yellow after some time but the smell stays the same.

Eye Shadow -Revlon - Matte Eyeshadow in Vintage Lace
roxy069 1/15/2010 11:07:00 AM
This is a cream, off white vanilla color. This shadow makes for a great highlight. It's smooth and creamy texture-wise. It's easy to blend and highly pigmented. It can be a little bit chalky, but if you blend it well, it's not a problem.

Eye Shadow -Revlon - Matte Eyeshadow Aubergine
roxy069 1/15/2010 11:05:00 AM
This is not very pigmented, which is ok because I use it to blend the harsh lines of a darker shadow (Oil slick by UD). The color itself is a dusty eggplant. On your skin it looks like a grayish purple. It's very smooth and definitely matte. It's easy to blend. The quality is good for a drugstore brand.

Shampoo -Ojon - Rub-Out
roxy069 1/15/2010 10:56:00 AM
The smell is horrible (it gave me a headache and nausea). If baby powder could rot, that's what it smells like. The nozzle clogged after a couple of uses. The product itself (if it even came out of the can) wasn't very effective: my hair still felt greasy. It weighed down my hair instead of giving me volume. Crap product all around.

Pressed Powders -MAC - Blot Powder - Medium/Dark
roxy069 1/15/2010 10:46:00 AM
This is a nice blotting powder that helps control oil throughout the day. It can get cakey if you put too much on, but other than that, it makes your skin look fresh and matte. The packaging is nice for throwing into a purse. This was the first thing I purchased from MAC, and I like the silky application and the oil control. The color match doesn't have to be perfect because the powder is so sheer.

Blush -NARS - Desire
roxy069 1/14/2010 3:56:00 PM
Holy hot pink, Batman! This is the brightest, hot pink ever. The color is so beautiful on your cheeks. It looks like a natural blush and it just makes you look awake and healthy. As always with NARS blushes, the quality and texture is excellent. It's so pigmented that unless you lightly tap your blush brush over it, you can look like a clown. I've been using it for 5+ months, and it looks like I've barely dented it. 25 USD is a lot, but it's a lot of product for your money. NARS's rubbery packaging is my favorite packaging out of every makeup line. This is my favorite blush in my collection.

Pressed Powders -MAC - Mineralize Skinfinish Natural - Medium
roxy069 1/14/2010 3:51:00 PM
I initially bought this because my old setting powder was too dark for my winter skin. I'm really glad I did because this is a wonderful powder. This is semi matte; it has the slightest shimmer to it, but it's virtually undetectable on your face. It gives you a healthy glow. I use an ample amount, but there's still a lot left. I think it's impossible to use too much because it gives such a natural finish. It doesn't have a lot of coverage on its own, but it is a really great setting powder.

Eye Shadow -Urban Decay - Freakshow
roxy069 1/14/2010 3:45:00 PM
When I first saw the swatch on Temptalia.com, I knew I had to check this out at Sephora. This is the best purple eye shadow ever. This eye shadow came out at the same time as Frigid, but Frigid is a blue-based purple while this is a more unique red-based purple. This is a true purple color unlike most purple shades which are too blue. It's velvety smooth, easy to blend, very pigmented, and they give you a lot of product for your money. It's two more USDs than UD's regular shadows but they give you 1 more gram. The packaging is super cute and as you may all know, all of UD's deluxe eye shadows have a custom made picture in the front (this one is cute). It also comes with a decent sized mirror which is great. If you're looking for a purple, you should check this shade out.

Powder -Cargo - Wet/Dry Powder Foundation
roxy069 1/14/2010 3:38:00 PM
I got this half off because Cargo is leaving Sephora so I got a great deal (I really can't see myself paying 32 USD for this product). The packaging is really cute; it's sliver and has a mirror that separates the puffie and the product. I think it's great to throw in your purse and looks expensive. As for the product itself, it's a little powdery so when you swipe your brush on the powder, there is a bit of fallout so you should tap instead of swiping with your brush. There aren't that many shades offered, but it blends so well that they can get away with that. I wouldn't recommend this to people with dry skin because it would just accentuate the dryness. This powder has very light coverage. I use it to set my MUFE Mat Velvet +, and it works well. It provides a matte finish. I like the product, but I wouldn't repurchase since there are so many other nice powders out there.

Eye Shadow -Victoria's Secret - Royalty by Christian Siriano
roxy069 1/14/2010 3:30:00 PM
I'm so sad that this is a limited edition product. Although it seems like it'll last me forever, I'll be sad when I run out. I always looked for an eye shadow that was matte and a super dark brown, and I found it. Royalty is a very dark, red-based brown. It's very smooth in application, easy to blend, and has decent staying power over UDPP. I really like the packaging with resembles a gold pyramid. It looks expensive (price wasn't that bad), and I love how he added a decent sized mirror. I would definitely buy this product again; I hope Christian makes another line for VS because he did a great job.

Eye Shadow -Urban Decay - Oil Slick Eyeshadow
roxy069 1/14/2010 3:26:00 PM
I'm already on my second one. My first one lasted me about a year (use it daily). I usually don't like sparkly eye shadows, but for black shadows, matte looks too dull and flat. Oil slick looks like it has a lot of glitter initially, and when you swatch it on your hand, it looks too glittery; however, when you put it on your eyes, it's subtle. It's never gray like some other "black" eye shadows are. It's pretty much the blackest black eye shadow I've ever seen. Not even Black Tied from MAC comes close. The texture seems like it'd be gritty because of the glitter, but it's smooth. The packaging is Urban Decay's subway token case, and I love it. Also, it's really pigmented. One swipe will give you all you need. My HD eye shadow.

Lipstick -Revlon - Matte Lipstick - Pink About It [DISCONTINUED]
roxy069 1/14/2010 3:19:00 PM
Favorite lipstick in the world. I love how it's matte, creamy, and stays on for a long time. I'm glad that Revlon made the matte line a permanent one so I can use this forever. I hate nude lipsticks, and I'm always going for a bold lip but I can always tone this color down. It's so versatile. I heard around the grapevine that it only costs 2 USD to produce most lipsticks so I would never pay for a YSL lipstick that costs 32 USD. This is affordable and available in pretty much all drugstores. The color is pretty much a corally hot pink but once blended on your lips, it's not cheesy Barbie hot pink. It's surprisingly wearable.

Primer/ Corrector -Make Up For Ever - HD Microperfecting Primer in 0 Neutral
roxy069 1/14/2010 2:05:00 PM
I got this from the best of MUFE kit, and it's decent. It doesn't last all day for me (keep the oil at bay, prevent my makeup from sliding), but it does a good job for ~6 hours of the day. It feels like a nice smooth lotion when you put it on, and I actually like the smell (although I do enjoy the orange scent of NARS primer more). Maybe I'm putting too little on but it doesn't seem to hide fine lines/ shrink pores like it did for other people.
