Lip Liners -NARS - Velvet Matte Lip Pencil - Damned

This is my number one favorite go-to lip product ever. I wear it almost every single day. I originally purchased it solely because of the beautiful color. It is a color that works year round which I love, and you can build it up from a medium berry color to a pretty deep berry color (not really vampy at all, still acceptable for an everyday lip color). The color works year round because in spring and summer, you have that nice stand outish pink lip color, but in winter and fall you can get that deep berry color which I love. Now after owning this for a few months, I am completely in love with the formula and texture. It is the only lipstick I have found that feels "perfect" on my lips. No clumping, drying, feathering, and it stays put. It feels very light and nice on my lips. After wearing it for a whole day it will fade a little bit but only on the inner part of your lips. It creates a bit of an ombre look actually, which I happen to not mind :) Better then looking patchy due to fading! The texture of this stuff alone makes me want to purchase every single color and never buy any other brand of lipstick again. It's a little pricey, but worth it. And did I mention how much I adore matte lips? Perfect!

Lipstick -New York Color - Ultra Moist Lip Wear in Mahogany

Oh I LOVE this lipstick! I bought it for 93 cents at Walmart. LESS THEN A DOLLAR! I am mad at myself for not discovering this beautiful color and lipstick earlier in the winter, since now mid-January the spring trends are already creeping in [boo :(] This is a great deeeeep burgundy-wine color. Very cool toned. I have very pale skin, brown eyes & hair; and this color makes my face glow and my eyes look brighter. It feels nice and light while wearing it, not heavy or clumpy. Even when the color wears off a little bit, it's not a huge deal since the original color of this lipstick is quite dark. It wears off throughout the day to a deep berry color. I like to wear this with mascara only, or a thin winged out line of liquid liner (I also love NYC's liquid liner). Paired with a pale gold eyeshadow, this can make an effortless but totally made up and beautiful look! All I really wear on a daily basis is mascara, so this lipstick totally seals the deal on days when I want a little more. My only complaint is that I prefer completely matte lipsticks, and this has a slight sheen to it. Not really a shine, it just looks moisturizing- if that makes sense? But hey that is what this lipstick is for, so I wasnt expecting it to be matte.. and for 93 cents, I am amazed! I wish my walmart had more colors in stock of this, I am very excited to try more NYC lipsticks.

Cleansers -Clean & Clear - Advantage Acne Cleanser

I am actually really surprised at the negative reviews. If I were to look at the makeupalley reviews before purchasing this face wash (like I usually do), I would not have purchased it - since I only try to purchase products higher then 3.5 stars at least. My skin is sensitive, and if i run my fingers over my skin, I used to be able to feel little bumps. Barely visible, but if you look really closely, they were there. Skin colored, and not really a problem - but an annoyance. I normally try to use a more natural and gentle face wash like Burt's Bees, etc. I discovered this face wash because I was at my friend's house and I spent the night. I forgot to bring my face wash with me, and this was all that she had. I was actually scared to use it because I have sensitive skin and redness, and I figured that all this cleanser would do was irritate my skin. Considering I don't have actual acne. I was so wrong. While cleansing my face, I was pleasantly surprised that it did not foam up much. Cleansers that foam up too much dry out my skin. After I rinsed it off, my face just looked very bright and "glowy". It took off my mascara as well which is a must. I figured I'd purchase this since it is such a reasonable price, and now it is a complete HG product for me. The little tiny bumps on my face are 100% gone, and my skin is always very smooth and bright looking from this cleanser. Maybe its just the salicylic acid? I'm not too sure, but regardless this cleanser has worked wonders on my skin. It also doesn't flare up my redness, it actually disperses it if anything. I use this cleanser once a day even though I don't have acne, and it keeps my skin SO clear. I havent even gotten the occasional pimple since I started using it. Highly recommended!

Lips -Revlon - Colorburst Lip Butter in Red Velvet

I love this product! Such a nice everyday lip color for the fall and winter. (Although I do rock red lips in the summertime too, heheh). I am so happy that I discovered this while browsing through walmart. I was actually so desperate to buy it, that I purchased the last one even though the seal was broken, since I started reading raving reviews of it online from my phone while debating on whether to buy it or not. :x I have pale skin, brown eyes and hair. Bright cherry reds do not look good on me, so I have been searching for a noticeable red that I could wear and this is it. It's not over-the-top or anything, just a beautiful deep neutral red. I am in love with it. One light swipe will give you beautiful but subtle rosy red lips. Adding multiple layers will give you that retro , classy, genuine, deep-ish red color. I normally prefer matte lip colors, but this is slightly glossy and hydrating looking - which I do not mind at all in this product. It's easy to throw on before work. I expected this lip color to feather on my lips since the formula is so creamy, but it stayed put. I recommend this product to anyone! Although I probably will try and find this exact color in a matte lipstick for days where I'd prefer a matte lip (I hear black cherry by NYX is a more matte alternative very similar in color). I highly recommend red velvet to anyone.

HOLY GRAIL. it's now august 19th, and i started using lilash on june 5th. before using this my eyelashes were never short to begin with, pretty medium lengthed.. a little on the longer side even. once in awhile people would compliment my eyelashes, but rarely. mascara is the only makeup i use, and i adore the look of long fluttery lashes. so i figured might as well splurge on this product. worth every penny. ever since using lilash, i literally get compliments on my lashes EVERY SINGLE DAY. i am just now after a little over two months of using lilash, starting to realize how long they truly are. i knew within 2-3 weeks they absolutely looked longer, but only i could really notice it. now everyone notices my lashes. i wanted to write this review, because just today at work i had five or more people (mix of co-workers and customers), ask me if i was wearing false lashes. they couldn't believe it when i said no. one of my co-workers actually took me around the store and showed my lashes off to everyone else in our department saying "look at her eyelashes!!" everyone's reply: what brand are they? this stuff is incredible and genuinely works. i am going to add a before and after picture once i find two good photos of my lashes. i recommend ordering from lilash's official website. although its more expensive, they do have a money back guarantee. so if it doesnt work for you, you can at least get your money back. also you know it'll be the legit product. Only side effects I have experienced: The only time it burned a tiny bit, was the very first time that I applied this product. The second time didn't bother me at all. Sometimes if I apply too much it feels a little irritated, but nothing bad at all. Most of the time it feels just as if I'm applying a makeup or water to my lid. I do have a bit of a plum colored line right above my lashes where I apply the serum. And my eyelids are a bit dicolored, a very light brownish color..only a little bit off from my skin tone. It might sound bad, but no one even notices until I point it out and my eyelids are small anyway. The side effects are 100% worth it. I went away for two nights and forgot to bring my lilash with me, and the discoloration was practically gone by the time I got home. So its only temporary.

Lipstick -Lancome - L’Absolu Nu Lipstick - all shades

Just bought this in the new shade for fall 2012, "Rouge Resille" and I really wish I hadnt. Don't get me wrong, the color is very pretty and works for both summer and fall. It's not as deep as I thought it would be, but its just a Pinkish Red color. It's flattering. The issue I have with this lipstick is that it is so smudgy and feathery. I have never seen a lipstick feather out of my lip line so bad in my life. I feel like maybe the matching lip liner would help keep it in place, but I'm more of a one step kind of person. For $30 this is very expensive, I don't want to purchase the lip liner also. I wouldnt mind the price if it was absolutely amazing and worth it, since the only makeup that I wear is mascara and lipstick... I dont mind splurging on those.This lipstick also fades extremely quick without even eating or drinking and just always feels very smudgy on my lips, also dries them out a bit. I bought it on impulse after trying on the color and loving it at the Lancome counter. Regret it. Gave it two stars for the lovely color, but honestly I could probably find a similar color in the drugstore that would be a much better lipstick too.

HOLY GRAIL! I absolutely love this lip product. I bought this in "all day cherry" which is a super flattering red on my pale skin and brown hair and eyes. It's not too bam in your face red, but it's definitely noticeable and fun and can be used for an every day signature look! For 10 bucks this stuff is a little expensive but so worth the money. I am kicking myself for spending $30 on a Lancome lipstick just the day before. Anyway, I put this stuff on at about 4:00pm. Application was a little messy, but if you're able to carefully do it you can really make your lips look very cleanly lined with the applicator. This stuff looked vibrant and it looked JUST as it did when I first put it on for a good 3 hours after applying it. I then went to the movies and to dinner with friends. Did a lot of eating and drinking and this stuff did not budge. It seemed to turn to a less bright, deeper looking red color as the night went on. A bit faded by the end of the night, close to midnight probably. But definitely 100% still noticeable on my lips. This stuff really stains your lips, because I felt like I didn't have any product on my lips yet it was very much there. I actually had trouble removing what was left of it when I got home. This is perfect to put on before work, knowing that it will last my whole shift without having to worry about it smudging or clumping or fading. I'm so happy to have this product, I really think this may be the only lip product that I will purchase from now on.

Mascara -Bonne Bell - eyestyle in black

HG mascara! Finally! And for three bucks at walmart, who would have known I really do have a mascara obsession. Lol. I buy a mascara, find it to work nice, but buy another mascara within a week because I know that I can find a better one. Needless to say, I have spent way too much money on mascara and I have so many mascaras laying around that I've used just once. Plus, I work in a cosmetics section of a department store and am constantly receiving samples of all types of high end mascaras. I have used everything from Lancome to Covergirl. I've been on the hunt for a very light and feathery looking mascara. My lashes are already decently long, and thick. I also have a good amount of lashes. Everytime I use a mascara that claims to look natural, it still just looks like I put on a very good mascara. Finally, this mascara really just looks like my eyelashes.. but better. With one coat, it darkens them, lengthens a bit, and just makes it look like I have amazing eyelashes naturally. They look soft and beautiful. If I really want my lashes to stand out, I can apply a good 4 coats of this stuff and get not one clump. It does flake a bit if you do apply multiple coats. On a daily basis I apply just one coat. I finally have people complimenting my eyelashes saying "you have beautiful eyelashes" rather then "what type of mascara do you use?"

Brows -Anastasia Of Beverly Hills - tinted Brow gel in Espresso

Lovelovelove this! I just recently gained an eyebrow obsession (lol) and now I can't leave the house without putting this on. I have medium brown hair, on the darker side, and the color Espresso is absolutely perfect. I love having perfectly arched brows, and this product really defines and fills them in amazingly; and it looks so natural. The brush is a bit big, but I just apply this carefully with a very light hand. It's amazing the difference this has made even in my overall face, my brows now bring out my features a lot more and I really love it. Especially in photographs. Normally my brows are very blah in pictures, but now they really stand out and look great. A bit pricey, but I feel like this tube will last me a long time and it's very worth repurchasing. Edit: I also added a picture of my eyebrow after applying this product so hopefully some of you can get a better idea of the color. I don't have a "before" picture, but my eyebrows are definitely more sparse before putting this on (especially after trimming a few of the hairs a little too short).

I had an awful experience with this perfume. I work in the mall and I was a bit early to work, so I decided to go into Macy's to test out some perfumes. I don't fully understand how I managed to get this stuff on my hand while looking at the bottle, but I got it all over my fingers before even smelling a test strip of this stuff. Quite possibly one of the most sickening scents that I have ever smelled. I have never felt physically ill from a scent, until this stuff. The only way that I could describe it to my friends, it was as if I smelled a corpse. Harsh, but it just smelled like death to me. The smell would NOT leave my hand throughout my whole shift. I must have washed my hands over ten times, and used hand sanitizer even more. I kept on getting whiffs of it throughout my shift and it turned my stomach each time. I didn't know it was possible to hate a smell so much, but WOW.

Finally, something that works for my hair! My hair has been so dry, fried looking, frizzy, curly, and crazy lately. Actually it's been giving me major issues for probably the past year now. I say curly, because when my hair is more damaged and dry, it get so much wavier then it should be (not pretty waves either. dry, crunchy, unhealthy looking waves). My hair is not supposed to be that way. When it is healthy..my hair consists of very loose, silky looking waves. I have been purchasing at least 3 new EXPENSIVE hair conditioners per month, trying to find something that will make my hair just at least manageable.. so I don't have to wear it up every single day. I just decided to pick up this conditioner to use while on the hunt for another high-end conditioner, since I ran out of my Redken conditioner. I washed my hair this morning, and I am amazed. The first thing that I noticed is that when my hair was drying in it's bun (I always bun it to dry), the coarse hairs around my hairline and temples were laying flat and not making me look like a dandelion head. When my hair was about half dry, I decided to take it down expecting to see the usual crunchy waves starting to form. Wrong! My hair was smooth, bouncy, shiny, and it was drying much straighter then it normally does. My hair is so dry and frizzy on days when I wash it, that I normally don't even bother attempting to wear it down until the second day. I've been wearing my hair down all day and I could not be happier. My hair is so smooth, and it's actually beginning to feel and look like MY hair again. I am beyond excited about this conditioner, complete holy grail status!
