Polishes -Wet 'n' Wild - Nail Color in Sparked / # 435F

So let me just begin with that I am just barely hopping on the glitter train ( I didn't want to in the beginning but I got sucked in) And I wanted to review this nail polish because frankly...I really like it. It only took two coats ( I did use a base polish and my Mavala dry top coat <3 ) But the color came out very pretty actually. It isn't too out there and its very complimenting to my skin tone and perfect for the holidays ^_^ Its a pink and silver sparkle and in certain (bad lighting haha) I see almost a champagne, goldish pink color to it. I love when I am at work I can just look at my nails and be in awe of its awesome sparkly-ness. Can't comment on the chipping factor because when I use my base coat and my Mavala top coat my nail polishes hardly ever chip that quickly. But I would imagine it would be an easy fix to swipe some more polish on because you cant tell if its put on crappy cause its SPARKLES! :) Defiantly will be purchasing again.

Lipstick -L'Oreal - Colour Riche Caresse Lipstick

So I am not a real lipstick gal. I don't like how heavy they feel and how most of them dry out my lips. I then saw these and thought it might be better then Revlon lip butters(Which in my opinion is) I got "Rose Taffeta" and its a very pretty sheer mauve rose/ very little brown to it color. I love how it glides on my lips and it doesn't feel heavy and wax like. It doesn't make my lips feel that moisturized for being a balm like lipstick but that's okay. It doesn't dry out my lips or enhance dryness if its applied before lip moisturizer. I do love the look by itself or with lip balm underneath. The bad part is it doesn't last very long at all but I don't mind applying it a couple times through the day because I like how it feels on my lips and how pretty the color is on me. For some reason with my olive/medium complexion I don't like a lot of colors on me but this was a win. I did find it to be a little expensive for a drugstore lipstick/lip balm but I see this lasting me quite a while. And I love the packaging because its very stylish. A long gold tube. I can use the case as a little mirror. Which is helpful at work because its not exactly professional to be pulling out my compact in the middle of the day to reapply. Sometimes I can just apply without because I can swipe my finger of my lips and easily remove any excess. It's a definite buy again once I run out, because I love the color so much.

Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Quimica Alemana nail hardener

So I bought this product a few months ago and really wanted to use it before I reviewed how it really works. First off the price is pretty good...like 8 bucks with free shipping...bought it on amazon.com and got the product pretty fast. When I got the bottle I couldn't read the directions on the bottle itself but it came with a sheet in english explaining how to use it. One thin line in middle of the nail and then put a THIN coat of the product all of the nail. A THIN COAT IS KEY!!!!!!!!!!!! I made the mistake by putting a normal amount of polish as if I were painting my nails. It did make my nails hurt a lot...but I did some research and tried to put the very thin coat over my nails and only reapply after a week..and usually I remove the old coat before I do that. After I learned this, I saw a great improvement in my nails. I had to wait a little bit to let my badly bitten nails grow a bit before I started using this product, only like a week I had to wait. Once I started using this product I applied and let it work its magic. My nails grew quite fast within in a two week period and they are strong . I have the worst, thinnest nails known to man but this product really makes them strong!!!!! Yes there is formaldehyde in it..but I don't think its a enough to cause real concern. If you use this product correctly...don't apply daily and be patient. It makes a pretty good base coat as well when its worn underneath my polish..I tried to put it on top of the color but it doesn't really work out for me...it causes bubbles. Overall I'll be purchasing this product again and again because nothing else has worked for me like this! It truly does work and is worth the money. But just really watch how you apply it and it won't hurt.

Gels/Soaps -Dove - Dove Nourishing Care Shea Butter Beauty Bar
rated 5 of 5
rosa2009 5/26/2012 9:50:00 PM

So I have been using body wash for a long time, the thought of using bar soap reminded me of the old days when I took baths as a kid. I also don't like the thought of rubbing something over my body that someones touched. Buttttt this I had heard was really good for dry skin. I have dry patches of skin on my legs. Now sometimes I'm in a rush after a shower and I don't always want to lather up with lotion every night, so I read someone had just used this and their skin still felt very soft. So I bought this ( I keep it separate from everyone else's use so its just me using it :) ) I put this on my bath towel and scrub away. First off I love this smell, And it lathers up very nicely. Even as I'm rinsing off I can feel how soft my skin is. I even shave with it because its so creamy and moisturizing. I am able to skip putting lotion on a few nights a week because if I do skip I still don't see those dry patches popping up. I love how soft my skin feels after a shower and it does last. It has improved my skin a lot. Only downside is, it is a bar but you get 4 bars I believe for 5 bucks at target, and it lasts just as long as a body wash would so I think it evens out. Definitely will buy again and again.

Lotions/ Creams -Unlisted Brand - EXTRA VIRGIN Coconut Oil (All brands)
rated 5 of 5
rosa2009 3/14/2012 12:06:00 AM

Update: So I still use this product for deep conditioning treatment...and its till going great..my hair grows a little bit faster and is now stronger :) But I started using coconut oil as part of my cleansing routine for removing makeup...and its a god send. At first I was leery about using this to remove all my make up but I read wonderful things about what it does for the skin and I wanted something to remove my makeup better. So I would use this to remove my eye make up first rub it in lightly and it comes off like a dream. Then take about a teaspoon or so and massage it into my face and neck for about a minute or so. Get a wet warm/hot wash cloth let it set on my face about 20 seconds and bam removes ALL MY MAKE UP, follow up with my natural cleanser with baking soda. I do this process every other day, using regular cleanser on other days. And use a little bit of coconut oil to moisturize my face instead of moisturizer. My skin hasn't been this great in a long time...and the process is so easy and cheap!!!!!! At first it did make my face break out a little bit but that's because its bringing up all that gunk that's been clogging up my pores. Pores are smaller, acne scars are FADING, and my skin is silky smooth but not greasy! Plus this is all natural and it cut a few products out of my routine which is always nice :) So I heard a lot of buzz about this oil....I have never really put oils into my hair but I wanted to try one that I could put in while my hair was dry before I shower (I only shower at night usually cause bathroom is taken up in the morning) so this is a major plus for me..I just focus mainly on my ends. I use only a little bit (probably about a quarter size) and I do have a little bit of dry scalp so after my ends I put whatever is left on my hands on my scalp by doing a little scalp massage. Leave it in for an hour or two and then shower (if scalp is really oily skip the scalp thing and don't overuse on the oil) once I'm done I add like literally dime size to my ends with my leave in conditioner. The next morning I woke up with very soft and silky hair. And less frizzies :) I see less split ends and my ends don't look so dry! As a moisturizer I don't think I'd use its too oily for my taste but for my hair its a great product.

Lip Gloss -Urban Decay - Wallflower Lip Gunk
rated 4 of 5
rosa2009 2/17/2012 11:04:00 PM

I really like this color. Like I love how it looks on my lips. Its a nude-ish pink-ish color and I'm in love with how subtle and pretty it looks. Its not just a plain nude (which would look really weird with my pigmented lips) so its got a little color and its very flattering on me. I don't feel any plump factor..just the cooling effect I first feel when applied. I don't put a ton at first, I build it up. Its a little drying but using Nivea kiss of moisture on my lips and that fixes the drying part. The gloss will last about 3 hours or so, so a couple touch ups in the day is needed but its worth it. I love how the gloss looks, so will repurchase.

Mascara -Bare Escentuals - Flawless Definition Volumizing mascara
rated 4 of 5
rosa2009 1/7/2012 11:14:00 PM

So I got this as a gift for christmas. I usually have been using L'oreal and was pretty happy with it. But it was a gift and I finally started using it last week. The first application went...not that great. It came out pretty wet and I didnt wipe off enough excess (mistake number 1 I should always just do this with any mascara at first) so it did ad volume but it caked up too much and caused some product to dry up and fall off on my face. 2nd try I fell in love with another mascara. Wiped up quite a bit of excess product...seemed like a waste but its not trust me. I applied and you have to really work the wand quite a few times through lashes but the results are amazing! my eyelashes haven't looked this plump ever...and its the pretty natural plump..not trashy fake plump.it makes my almond shaped eyes really pop and looks gorgeous. I even got a compliment from my future mother in law who doesn't ever pay attention to my makeup. It lasts a long time..I don't need an eyelash curler when I use this..only downfall is when it does try I sometimes still get a little fall out of product..not a lot maybe smidge of black or two around my eyes and I can lightly pick it off without messing up my makeup. I would purchase this again because I love how gorgeous it makes my eyes look.

Styling Products -John Frieda - Heat Defeat
rated 2 of 5
rosa2009 1/7/2012 10:53:00 PM

I used this heat protect ant a few months ago and forgot to review it...because it was truly crap. the packaging was the nicest thing about it...it didn't clog or cause over spray. But product itself...bad it didn't protect my ends at all when I would straighten it...I tried making sure I sprayed enough...less and let it dry a bit..nope this fried my ends worse! I like there new new line of shampoo and conditioner...but their heat protectant was horrible.

Lip Gloss -Maybelline - Shine Sensational in Tempting Toffee (#55)
rated 4 of 5
rosa2009 1/7/2012 10:47:00 PM

I am pretty surprised I liked this color. It looks pretty dark in the tube but I had read a few reviews on this line and usually they say its not as dark as it seems in the tube...so I'm glad I read that...cause I would have missed out! I love this color its almost like my lip color, it enhances my lips and gives a nice subtle shine. I love how it comes out very light and not at all as dark as it looks. It makes my lips look perfect and not to overly done up so it doesn't interfere when I do dramatic eyes :) Smell is a little strong but I don't mind. It does go away after a short while and the lasting power is normal for a basic gloss. Its not overly drying which is a major plus. Defiantly will repurchase.

Lotions/ Creams -Vaseline - Intensive Rescue Healing Hand Cream
rated 2 of 5
rosa2009 1/4/2012 12:40:00 AM

This product was eh...I mean its moisturizing but it didn't last too long for me....and it left my hands a little greasy...I applied this after I wash my hands at work and granted I have to wash my hands a million times a day (I work for Dr.s Office) this cream once applied its not suppose to be greasy Ill even make sure I don't over apply...but nope even waiting a few minutes to let it sink in...I put my hands on paper or even my desk I leave a mark. It doesn't absorb well...least for me..I tried applying less but no still no good. It does moisturize my hands but I have had way better luck with there healthy hand and nail hand cream. No greasy after math. other than that it didnt moisturize my hands well I just need something that absorbs better.

Cleansers -Ponds - Evening Soothe Cleansing Towelettes
rated 4 of 5
rosa2009 1/4/2012 12:32:00 AM

Lets just say I really like these wipes. I had previously used the Neutrogena makeup remover wipes and I wasn't that impressed. It did take a lot of my makeup off but but not completely and I always had to use a second wipe and some type of toner to really have my face feel clean. And the smell was not that great at all. But now that I have these I'm no going to anything else! I love that these are wet and seem to stay pretty wet. They also have some ridges and I actually feel like my face is getting probably cleaned! It removes my eye makeup and all my face products in one wipe! That's amazing I would still have to use a eye makeup remover to even get most of my eye makeup off...not with these. The smell to me is decent, its pleasant...way more than the Neutrogena and they are decently priced considering I only need one wipe to remove all makeup. My face feels fantastic and very clean. It has no residue and it didn't strip it of its natural moisture. I will have to try their AM line because if its as great as these I'm hooked! Definitely a good buy...I would buy at walmart or target mostly. Or if you can find a coupon buy a few to stock up.

Primer/ Corrector -Hard Candy - Sheer Envy Primer
rated 4 of 5
rosa2009 12/30/2011 7:01:00 PM

So I have used up a complete tube of this and I really like this product. I learned like others to just use a small amount and it worked great when I applied it under my eyes before concealer...really helped fill in the lines I sometimes get if I don't sleep enough. The texture is like smashbox...very silk like and I apply a smidge more than pea size and I dot it on my face and blend in...take some on my finger and pat under my eyes. Let it set for 2 minutes and apply. Foundation goes no very smoothly and it I didnt notice makeup staying on longer because I use the superstay but I love how silky it makes my skin and fills my pores. Totally love spending 8 dollars instead of 40!!!!!

Liquid -Maybelline - SuperStay Makeup - New Version
rated 4 of 5
rosa2009 12/12/2011 11:36:00 PM

So I have tried a few foundations...revlon colorstay, maybelline dream smooth mousse, Rimmel 25 hr wear and a tinted moisturizer. I have had okay expierances with all..I loved dream smooth mousse but it didnt last at all! And I have dry skin..go figure. But I was using revlon colorstay and I dont think Ill be going back because I surprisingly like this foundation a lot. It gives pretty good coverage for the first layer and sometimes if I have a pimple or anything I add just a little bit more. I use my beauty blender to apply (ITS AMAZING LADIES I DIDNT BELIEVE THE HYPE BUT THAT BLENDER PUTS FOUNDATION ON LIKE A DREAM!!!) I realized this foundation gives me a natural almost dewey finish The lasting power is pretty decent when I set with a light dusting of my elf hd powder. I can usually go for about 10 hours before it really starts to wear down. When I want an airbrush finish I do apply a very thin thin layer of the maybelline liquid mousse on top of this foundation and my skin looks completely flawless. But with the foundation on by itself it gives me a natural look which I love as well. Its not overly drying and the consistency isn't thick and paint like, like colorstay can be. Its a little runny but somewhat thick at the same time...weird right? but it doesn't feel heavy on the skin It blends out pretty well even when I used just my fingers..my elf studio brush and of course my beauty blender :) it does dry a little bit fast but not like colorstay that if you dont work insanely fast you might as well restart again. Overall a good buy and will probably throw out all my colorstay and rimmel foundations

Styling Products -Ion - Silk Drops
rated 4 of 5
rosa2009 11/28/2011 1:02:00 AM

I have been using this product a good couple months now and I have to say I do like it a lot. First it comes in a small bottle (dont be fooled you need very little of this product if its for hair only so its worth its price) the consistency is like silk. It says to be applied to either wet or dry hair. I find it works best on dry hair for me at least. I apply barely a dime size...then apply on my ends mostly and on some frizzies up top but not too much as this product could make your hair greasy. It does a fantastic job after a blow dry to smooth my ends or to prep my ends and hair to flat iron. But only use very little...it works fantastic for me to tame my hair and seal in my moisture. But when I used it on my damp hair before a blowdry it made my hair flat and little greasy. Its pretty cheap for its awesome power. It also can be used to quench dry skin...I must say it moisturizes my skin quite well. I usually only use it on parts that need it most..my elbows, knees and sometime my legs which can get dry. Works pretty well but again no need to slather it on... I was always told if its a good product you shouldn't have to use a ton of it to work...and this defiantly falls into one of those categories :)

Polishes -Essie - Over the Top
rated 5 of 5
rosa2009 11/28/2011 12:55:00 AM

Would I buy this product again?!? HECK YES I WOULD AND WILL!!!! I love love love love love love loveeeeeee this color. Its a beautifull gunmetal dark grey with slight shimmer in it...its almost near black but not nearly as harsh of a color. Its very complimenting on my skin tone good for fair-medium for sure, I would think it would look good on any skin color to be honest just depending on how many coats you do. Its beautiful, I'm totally in love I have never given any product complete 5 stars but I'm completely in love with this. You have to apply at least three coats to get the best look out of it..but dont worry the color dries fast and is pretty shiny on its own even before the top coat which I like. What I do is wait a minute between each coat to get a really nice even finish. And then apply two coats of top coat to protect it. I have pretty short stubby nails (trying to grow them out from nail biting and acrylics :( ) But since I found this color I literally wont be putting my nails at risk anymore because I love wearing this nail polish to much Its very chique ? I'm not sure what word to use but its a great color and it will go with everything you wear especially during the fall and winter time...its a must have GO BUY IT
