Blush -Smashbox - Blush Rush in Heartbreak

My mother and I were in Ulta around Christams b/c she forgot her blush when she flew out to see me. We found this one for her and it looked great.... especially when the artist applied it paired with Too Faced Sun Bunny Carribean Compact. She's 63 years old and it brought her to life and made her look more youthful. Well, after a couple of days of playing around with it, I had to go get it (and the bronzer) for myself! I love this blush. It isn't too shimmery or too flat for my 42 year old skin. It doesn't accentuate the pores or texture of my skin (or my mom's). I'm normally a Lancome wearer and this gave me to pop that my Mauve Coquette wasn't giving me during the winter months. I would say that this color is very close to Lancome's Rouge Glow. This also has a little mirror that slides out from under it. We both thought that there was something faullty with her blush pakaging until we discovered that a mirror slides around from the bottom. A fun little bonus!

Eye Shadow -Lancome - Color Design Eyeshadow in Mochaccino

This is a daily staple for me. I love the smooth and smooth velvety texture, the rich pigmentation, and the longwearing of this. I put it over the Effercernces as a shadow base and it lasts all day and night. It never fades, is buildable, blendable, and is THE perfect neutral matte brown. I love to put it with Gaze and Postive Color Design shadows. Absolutely gorgeous!

Treatments -Philosophy - Miracle Worker Retinoid Pads

I think I'm on to something good here. I purchased these pads 10 days ago and have used them every night with the hope and intention of removing age spots that had become so dark that I couldn't cover them anymore with my current foundation. I think I've noticed a slight lightening of the spots, but more than anything, my skin texture has improved beyond my wildest expectations. I'm almost 42 and my skin looks amazing. I have been able to switch to a fuller coverage foundation that I had to give up years ago due to the way it showed the rough texture and fine lines on my skin. It was VERY aging. Now, I'm using that foundation with success again because my skin texture is so smooth. I'm happy with what these pads have done for me so far at day ten. Even if the spots don't fade by week 8 the way Phil. promises, I've already made great strides. I can at least cover them up with a full cover foundation now. Yea!! Try these pads. They are amazing! I hope to update with more amazing results in a couple of more months.

Liquid -Lancome - Teint Idole ULTRA [DISCONTINUED]
roocat 7/18/2010 10:29:00 PM
Unlike many of the other reviewers of this product, I don't have oily skin. I'm almost 42 years old and have normal skin. The problem is that I have sunspots and the Renergie Lifting Foundation that I've used by Lancome for the past year (with their mineral powder over it) just wasn't covering the spots anymore. Teint Idole ULTRA always seemed aging (and emphasized the aging texture and pores of my skin) so I gave up on it. Anyway, I recently purchased retinoid pads for my skin texture and pigmentation and then tried Teint Idole again (a sample I just had on hand). It was absolute perfection! The retinoid pads had refined and smoothed the texture of my skin enough that the Teint Idole just melded with my skin and looks just like my skin, but covers the age spots beautifully. I'm now wearing Lancome Dual Finish Powder very lightly over the top to set it (with a larger and fluffy brush) and my husband and children have even remarked how good my makeup has looked since I made this change. I feel so fresh and feel like I look so much younger. I purchased a full bottle of this yesterday at the Lancome counter and the SA told me that it looked so natural on me. Not heavy and covered the pigmentation nicely. I think (and desperately hope) that I've found the winning combination of skincare and makeup to get me through my forties! I LOVE this foundation!!!

Lip Gloss -Chanel - Mica

Love this color. I would never have purchased this alone and the Chanel MUA used this over Violent Diamond Lipstick with a nude liner. I reach for this time and again with the nude liner alone. Will always make sure I have this classy pink and spectrum colored gloss on hand. It works with EVERYTHING.

Lipstick -Chanel - Rouge Allure 45 Violent Diamond

You know, I tried this b/c a Chanel MUA suggested it and I thought "No way". I'm way too deep (my skin is a medium that tans easily with an olive undertone) and I need at least my lip tone or a shade or so darker or brighter. Plus, I like a more natural look. But after it was applied with a lip brush with Chanel's Nude Lipliner and topped off with Mica Glossimer...all I can say is I was astounded at the natural beauty of it all. Even bystanders were talking about how great it looked. I have since replaced the liner with Lancome's Ideal Lipliner and like the look even more. (The Chanel Nude liner was a little too gritty and metallic). If you're afraid of the light icy colors like this one, try them with a strong nude....you may be surprised like I was!
